"fine I think I just started getting used to her signals" blaze said

“Signals?”

"moods I'm supposed to be picking up on" Blaze explained

“ oh,” she giggled

"yeah. I promise you I'll make everyone involved with her pain suffer." Blaze said

“ son, you don't need revenge. You need to be here and care for her. They'll come later. The only reason she needs surgery now is that she went looking for you “

"wrong she went on a walk and insisted on going alone it's my fault" Blaze confessed

“ no it's not son”

"I should've went" he said

“ you did the right thing blaze, “

"I know but… I just feel like I should've been there" Blaze said looking down at Naize with guilt

Naize whimpered in her sleep, the bruises dark on her neck”

"May I sit back down next to her..?" Blaze asked respectfully

“Yes,” she said softly

Blaze sat down in the chair next to Naize's bedside and put his palm in the middle of her hand then put his head back on the bed as he was before he left

Naize slowly curled her fingers around his, her body naturally moving closer

Blaze was face down on the bed with his forehead on her upper arm

Naize woke slowly “-aze…”

Blaze made out what she was trying to say "yeah..?"

“ love you”

"I… He sniffles I love you too" Blaze said as a tear fell off his face and onto her arm

Naize reached up, wiping his tears “dont.. Don't cry..”

"I'm not crying there's something in my eye he sniffles" he said trying to act tough

“ -aze…” naize whispered

"what…" He said resting his head on her chest to be closer to her mouth

“ it's okay to cry”

"I feel guilty I know it wasn't my fault I…I just" he said and wrapped his arms around her as the tears setting in

Blaze felt weak like a little kid "I'm not gonna leave your side"
