Alex looks at neva in disbelief. "it's a figure of speech," she says with an awkward smile.

" i know, thats the fun part." she said and smiled sweetly

"You're an odd one," Alex laughs.

" i know," she giggled and looked back up at the sky. "soo, got someone at home waiting for ya?"

"I've got my dog at home"

" i meant loved one but that works too" she laughed

"I know, but i don't have any loved ones," Alex giggles.

" Soo, can I meet the pup?"

"Sure, if you don't mind walking a little ways up the street to my house?" Alex asked.

" not at all, let's go!" She said and stood

Alex laughs and grabs her things . "Just a couple blocks away." Alex says and starts walking down the sidewalk.

Neva follows quickly, her white hair flowing behind her

Shortly after leaving the tree, Alex opens the little gate dividing her front yard and the sidewalk. "Here we are." She said, gesturing at the brick house.

" it's beautiful, really"

" Oh, thank you, I've still got so work to do on it, but that can wait for another day. I want to enjoy my vacation this year." Alex laughs while walking up the path to the door and unlocks it. "Make yourself at home." She says and smiles

Neva enters the house, looking around

"Ace, I'm home!"alex yells obnoxiously loud and is greeted with a large pitbull barging into the living room running around excitedly. "Hi, buddy!" Alex says in a silly voice, petting the large dog.

Neva laughed and reached her hand out slowly

"Ace, this is neva. she's a friend, be good." Ace walks up to neva and smells her hand and looks up at her with his tail wagging.

" hai buddy," she said softly

Ace barks at neva , runs to the couch, and lays down. Alex laughs, " he's like that with new people."

" I get it," she said and giggled

"You can go ahead and sit down. I'm going to go change; I'm burning up. " Alex laughed while pointing to the couch where ace was. "ill only be a minute."

" alright," she said and sat by ace

Alex ran upstairs and changed out of her cargo pants and t-shirt and put on a pair of Grey cotton shorts and a black tank top and came back downstairs. " So sorry about that. I wasn't planning on it being so hot today, " she laughed.

" it's why I wore what I did, nice and breezy"

"You're smart," she said while smiling at neva.

" mmhm!" She hummed sarcastically

Alex lounged on the couch next to neva smiling at her.
