Tezia stood up, not really sure what to do now

(okay sweet. idk why but i want one of the lovers to get hurt or something for more angst)

"C'mon." Grey hoisted Malachi up with one arm and used her free hand to grab Tezia's to lead her to the door to wait for the lovers to get sorted.

Tezia follows but stops abruptly as her eyes go electric blue again

(probably gonna happen at some point bc they're both idiots who would die for each other lol) Kaz hops up, leading them behind the bar counter. There's a small storage area off to the side, and they walk in. He shoves a shelf to the side, revealing a rusted iron door that looked like it hadn't been maintained well in centuries. "In here."

"Ah shi–ve." She corrected herself in front of Malachi and summoned a barrier of shields to block the lover's view to Tezia. She didn't want them to react badly again.

"Few seconds notice!" Tezia blurts and almost collapses as her eyes go back to normal

She returned the shields into her mindscape again. "Okay, we're leaving." Grey gently set Malachi down and grabbed Tezia's hand before leading them both down the ancient corridor.

Tezia looks behind her right as the door burst open. A team of soldiers crash into the room. Exactly second after she blurted the warning

Kaz whipped around before breaking into a run. "Shit, shit, shit!" There was a loud scream from one of the top floors, and a burst of fire shot out of one of the windows. People seemed to be coming alive in self defense along the apartment's floors, flashes of light and sound going off as more guards poured into the building. And that was when a bellowing, inhuman screech resounded from behind the building

Teziaa yelps at the sound clapping her hands over her ears

Malachi frowns at hearing the noise, running away, further into the tunnel. He was tired of getting hurt. He liked the safety he felt just moments ago.

Tezia looks behind her at Malachi's Retreating back, "Kid wait!"

He was blocking out all noise, focusing on getting away from the people who might hurt him and the others.

(Malachi just nope'd on outta there lol

Tezia starts running after him at a full sprint, looking behind her as the light from the trap door grows dimmer and dimmer
