Halfling: Chuckles, giving Titan a polite smile. I might surprise you. My name’s Jack, but most call me Lucky Jack. Any sort of jewelry you have in mind? Earrings? Bracelets? Necklaces? Something else?
Halfling: Chuckles, giving Titan a polite smile. I might surprise you. My name’s Jack, but most call me Lucky Jack. Any sort of jewelry you have in mind? Earrings? Bracelets? Necklaces? Something else?
AJ: winces and pulls out a vial of water, splashing it on his hand You have a very strong grip. pulls out the sea glass again and continues tinkering like nothing happened
Titan: Looks at the Halfling. If you could make me a titanium, mithril, cold iron and adamantium belt, that would be nice.
Lucky Jack: Nods. I will return shortly with your request, madam. Smiles, then snaps his fingers. A ring on his hand flashes and a portal appears. Jack steps through.
Titan: Nods, then calls out MAKE SURE IT'S THIN ENOUGH TO GARROTE SOMEONE WITH!
(It's important to not that Titan is 4'9, skinnier than a bean pole and is 14. She can hit you with the force of Earth's gravity, though, so it's important to remember not to startle her. Which is very easy to do.)
AJ: Garroting? Drowning them's way better. They die within three minutes, the sharks will eat the evidence and the bones will help coral reefs grow. What's not to like?
Titan: Shrugs When you have enough strength to literally launch someone to the moon with one punch, sublety isn't exactly your top priority. Plus, the thrashing around makes a lot of noise, and would alert everyone nearby.
( going on break for a bit but the twins will be back soon enough)
AJ: It takes ten seconds to grab them and drag them more than 50 feet under. Noise isn't a problem there.
(aight)
Lucky Jack: The portal appears a few minutes later, and he comes out. In one hand is a thin belt. As requested, a belt made of titanium, mithril, cold iron and adamantium, and thin enough to use as a garrote. Now, for the price.
Titan: Looks at A.J. with some amusement The seconds before are what I'm talking about. Turns to Jack What do you want?
Jack: What are you willing to pay?
Titan: Thinks for a moment, tallying up the individual prices of each material carefully. Adamantium usually goes for 20 gold on the market. Titanium is relatively common, so 5 silver pieces should suffice. Mithril is rarer than the first two and light to boot, so 30 gold. Cold iron is easy to find, but the difficulty of finding the right kind of piece is difficult, and due to the fact that you can't forge it, I'd say about 12 silver pieces. As she's saying this, she's pulling out a heavy coinpurse and counting out the required coins. Is that enough?
Jack: Is a bit surprised. 51 gold and 7 silver. Clearly you’re from a place where these minerals are quite common. Where I’m from, Mithral is the easiest to find, but is still rare, and it would be 50 gold minimum. Cold Iron would be 100 gold, for the same reasons as you said. Titanium is quite rare, at 250 gold. And Adamantium is the rarest of the four, coming at 300 gold minimum. The cheapest price would total at 700 gold, though my materials are not the cheap scrap. I’d say this belt is worth, at least, double the minimum price, which would be 1,400 gold.
Titan: Shrugs and just dumps the coins she'd already counted into Jack's hands, then dumps a fuck ton more gold and silver there as well. The ammount she'd poured into Jack's hands didn't even make a dent in the ammount of gold and silver in the bag. I think you'll find that more than sufficient.
Jack: Blinks, then nods and hands Titan the belt. He then starts gathering the coins in a pouch that seems much to small to hold all of the money. But, after a minute, all the coins go into the tiny pouch without disturbing it. I suppose that is indeed more than enough. Thank you. Anyone else care for some jewelry?
Titan: Grins and takes the belt, looping it around her waist once, twice, three times, settling her black jeans low on her hips, the belt keeping them from falling. She touches one edge of the belt and grins: razor sharp. Thank you! She hugs the Halfling, then skips away to show off her belt to Grace, who had appeared in the distance, looking amused.
(What happened here, lmao?!)
Jack: Smiles, chuckling a bit at the hug, then watches her leave. He then wanders around, looking for anyone willing to buy something.
On’nyosh: In the distance next to Grace. Don’t trust that fucking con-artist! He might make some good jewelry, but that’s not all he does!
Jack: Conveniently vanishes before anyone can question him.
(A lot, lmao!)
(What Anastasia said, lol.)
Titan: Cocks her head to the side, watching On'nyosh with a child-like curiosity. Yeah? Like what?
Grace: Sighs at her child's antics and grasps her hand. The child squeezes Grace's hand back, and her hand shows no sign of damage to it. I am curious, I must say. The light envelopes them once more, and all three disappear once more.
On’nyosh: He’s a fucking two-faced con-artist. He overprices shit like a madman, and likes to add magical trackers. Ask me how I know. I bought a ring from him once, and that bastard followed me! He continues to rant even after they leave.
Aiden: Watches all of this curiously Huh, so that's On'nyosh.
Titan: Looks at A.J. with some amusement The seconds before are what I'm talking about.
AJ: Well then. turns to Shai How long?
Shai: snickers Oh, yes, poor ikkle snowflake can't possibly drag someone down quickly enough, if he can at all. pauses Depends on the Seafarer, I guess. Owen definitely can't drag someone down without drawing attention. Ditto for Caleb. It also depends on the size, but if it were me and a kid, I could have them down in… one minute, for the kid to see me as an eel and be fascinated. Another thirty seconds or so for them to come closer for a better look. Another twenty seconds to have them down in the photic zone, less if they're practically touching the water's edge. Kids are almost always in the background anyway, and if there weren't parents, nobody would even notice.
Aiden: Looks mortified What in the actual hell?!
Leo: Drowning people isn't nice!
Leo: And if there was siblings there, somebody would definitely notice.
Leo: Or anyone else!
Shai: shrugs AJ asked. That was my most educated guess.
Another person gets chucked in. I'm getting a little frantic now.
The boy: Waves at everyone, grinning Hello! Who are you?
(Yeah, I have a ton of characters, but they’re all so specific, so I don’t know how to fit most of them in a chat like this)
A mysterious, tall, pale-skinned individual walks into the chat. His eyes glow a dim blue and his feet are insectile.
???: Greetings.
