Eleanor gently wrapped an arm around Bernadette's shoulders to comfort her gently. "I promise, it's okay."

Etta leaned into Eleanor, her touch oddly consoling as she began to calm herself. "Im sorry… Im sorry…" She kept repeating.

"You don't have to apologize to me," Eleanor promised. "I doubt anyone better understands you than I do, even after just meeting you."

Bernadette looked up, a softness in her eyes as she nodded slowly. "You know… you know and- and it really is terrible that you relate." She sniffed, leaning back into her shoulder. "No one should be hurt by someone they trust."

Eleanor smiled sadly. "Well, you can't be hurt if you never trusted them in the first place," she replied quietly, gently rubbing Bernadette's back.

Etta smiled, looking down at her hands as she closed her eyes to Eleanor's touch. "Yeah… if you never did."

(Okay, but like with what Eleanor just said, it was about her mother, not Neva.)

Eleanor sighed, glad that Bernadette was finally starting to trust her. "Our tea is nearly ready, darling," she murmured.

"Oh umm well I one day hope to have enough money to buy my own ship and sail the world. Just me." Sally responded. She knew she could trust Neva with this secret.

Bernadette nodded, shakily rising to her feet as she smoothed her clothes. "Yes, of course."

Eleanor's lips pulled into a small smile, supporting Bernadette as she stood. "You alright, darling?"

" what if.. what if i gave you the money?" neva asked softly " i owe you as my for over 5 years. its the least i can do." she said and gave a warm smile " i hate to see you go though

"Umm no I couldn't take it I almost have the money anyway." Sally decided. She knew she could trust Neva but something about Neva was a little off. She was probably drunk from her beer.

"…" she watched sally for a second " alright.." she said deciding there to bump sallys pay up a few hundred. " so, what do you do down here?" she asked, scooting a bit closer.

"Well I mostly map out my route. I want to know where I am going before hand ya know." Sally continued "I like to drink down here allot umm I remake Shakespeare with the rats but that's about it."

Eleanor's lips pulled into a small smile, supporting Bernadette as she stood. "You alright, darling?"

Etta nodded, steadying herself slightly. "Yeah. Thank you."

Eleanor nodded. "All we have to do is put a bit of the ginger in the tea and wait. It doesn't take too long." She poured the tea into the cups.

"sounds fun" she said jokingly " so got anyone back home?"

"Not for 20 years." She jokingly replied "but in all seriousness my folks dies when I was five been roaming the seas ever since. Been saving up for this ship since I was 10. Going from ship to ship."

" sounds horrible.. and you've never had any feelings for anyone?"
