Sanger shook his head. “I may be American, but I’m not stupid. Who are these people?” he asked, feeling like he was way out of his depth. He had never heard those names before, admittedly he’d also spent several years of his life trapped with some murderous psychopath. “Oh, don’t you worry. I’ll tell you.” Dorian said, and he began his explanation.
“Doctor Jekyll was a respected man, well to do, all that sort of thing. But deep down, he had dark desires. And so, with a potion so vile only the most evil could consume it without bursting into flames, Jekyll made his desires flesh in the form of evil alter ego Mr Hyde.” Dorian began.
(Literally they are just,, there. Being a complete and utter baddie.)

Efraim listened to Dorian attentively, but was also feeling an echo of embarrassment. Of course Sanger wouldn’t have known anything, he was American, but even then, it was pretty obvious to them now that M. would have told Dorian about where they would go next.
“Oh good gravy, another… interesting character to meet,” Quartermain muttered. They were also listening, as he had also never heard of Jekyll or Hyde.

Doesn’t M want us to save the world?” he said. “Well, his powers of change of shape could prove useful, you never know.” Dorian said, and continued on. “Jekyll was smart. He knew that if anything went wrong, he’d pay. So he kept his excursions quiet, and didn’t do anything too risky. That was, until he murdered a man. Suddenly, Jekyll as Hyde was committing the most vile crimes you could think of, at least in the realm of murder. Violent urges, and all. But he couldn’t keep up the act for long. His servants found out, and then it became known to the public. He killed himself in his shame, but that didn’t stop Hyde from coming back. A ghost of foul intentions, if you will. And now, we have to capture it.”

The way Dorian explained it confused Efraim. Writing quickly, they scribbled, How is Jekyll dead and Hyde alive? If they shapeshift and share the same original body, wouldn’t Jekyll killing himself kill Hyde as well?
They had other questions as well, but this one seemed the most important to answer.
“Well, to my knowledge, they’re both alive. Somehow, some way, they are.” Dorian had his suspicions, but couldn’t entirely figure out if they were true or not. Maybe, there was another like him out there, cursed portrait and all. “But that’s none of our concern.” he said, they had managed to walk all the way back to Nemo’s ship in that time. “Now, who is the captain here? I assume we’ll be needing to speak.”
Tom had silently wathced, completely confused by everything that was happening, but not questioning anything. It was all a bit too much, and he didn't know how to deal with it.
