(I think we have enough people now, so I'll close this)
Luna saw that Val had it handled and made her way back into the house. She could go to the town later, yeah. There was nothing wrong with that, she wouldn't get in trouble. Not at all. Well, definitely not with her mama, but with her bisabuela… Maybe. Hopefully not.
"Aahh no it's fine umm can you take this I have other deliveries to make and shopping to do." She said awkwardly and started walking away. holy shit holy shit holy shit I need to leave right now before I die of amazement how can she be so pretty! she thought to herself.
“Of course,” Val replied. “¡Gracias querida!” she called to the girl’s retreating back before heading to the kitchen. “Abuela Julieta, I have a delivery for you~” she sang. “Hola, Kat,” she greeted her sister.
Cynthia walked back into town to make a few more deliveries.
( @Noblesse His name is Mariano)
Kat stepped into the kitchen, opening a cabinet door in search of the arepas. "Let's see… Ah!" Another cabinet opened, revealing her quarry. "Thanks, Casita." She grabbed the food and turned to leave, stopping when she saw the delivery girl heading for the door. She had a quick mental argument with herself, then quickly started toward the girl. "Hey!" She called, before she could change her mind. "Here. You seem like you could use it." She said, only slightly awkward, as she held out an arepa. Why am I doing this? Why don't I just go about my business like a normal person? She mentally questioned herself, then turned her attention back to the girl, who seemed confused. "You gonna take it, or not?"
"Oh umm thanks" she said with a smile she took the arepa and took a bite. "Bye." Cynthia said with a full mouth. oh my god why the hell did Kat Madrigal just offer me a Arepa!? she asked herself in her head.
Val smirked at her sister, leaning in the doorway of the kitchen. "And what exactly was that, hermana?"
Kat turned to her sister. "I thought she could use something to eat, that's all." She responded, though she doubted that Val was convinced. The truth was, she wasn't sure why she did it. She'd never approached a stranger out of nowhere like that before.
"If it were that simple then why are you so confused?" Val asked. She swore people forgot her abilities sometimes.
"Okay, so I don't know why I actually walked up to her," Kat admitted. "But I wasn't lying. She did look like she could use it." She turned to head up the stairs. "Now, if you'll excuse me, hermana, I'm going to go find Camilo and Tio Bruno."
(For future reference, Kat gets nightmares from using her power, and rarely gets a full night's sleep)
Val eyed her sister, watching her go. With a sigh, she headed back out, dancing across the main floor of Casita, who aided in her movements. Val laughed, a wild yet melodious sound, and twirled so her skirt flared out.
Kat looked back for a moment, watching her sister dance before knocking on Camilo's door. "Camilo? Are you in there?" Silence. "I have the arepas." No answer. She rolled her eyes and opened the door. "Camilo!" She stopped, realizing the room was empty. He's probably in town. She thought to herself. She turned to leave, only to catch her reflection in one of the many mirrors. She sighed, noting the bags under her eyes. Camilo and Bruno would definitely notice that she hadn't been sleeping. They always noticed. She left the room, closing the door behind her.
(Looks like it's paragraph day for me)
Luna entered the house quietly and decided to check on primo Eduardo. She had yet to see him today and knew (from a few accidental touches) that his gift made his life difficult. She stepped up to his door and knocked once, "Eduardo? You in there?"
Cynthia headed home and picked up the next package to deliver. It was to the donkey caretaker. She lifted the basket and headed in the direction she needed to go in.
Eduardo jumped a little, not expecting someone to knock on his door. Usually it was Bruno that checked on him, bringing meals up to his room if he noticed Eduardo hadn’t eaten anything; but that wasn’t Bruno’s voice. This was Luna. He had a fairly neutral opinion of her, but was always scared that her gift would make her worry about him. The last thing ha wanted to do was give her more emotional baggage. She can see everyone’s problems just by touching them… she has a lot on her plate already. He took a few deep breaths and opened the door.
“…Hello.”
"Hi," Luna gave a little wave with her gloved hand. She was glad to see he was fine and not off in some other time. She smiled a little, "Glad to see you here. Um, also have you eaten yet? I didn't see you at breakfast… Or anywhere else."
He shook his head. “…..no…I’m not really very hungry…”
Luna frowned slightly at that. She offered out her hand to her older primo, "Well that's because you haven't eaten yet. Come on we can get something together."
Kat overheard Luna and Eduardo's conversation, stopping in her tracks. She stepped over to Luna, clearing her throat to get her attention. "Here." She said briskly, offering her the food she had been carrying. "I heard you talking, and I was just about to put these in the kitchen, so…" She trailed off, feeling a bit awkward, having butted into their conversation and all, but there was no turning back now.
The food smelled delicious. Eduardo wanted to eat it, but he was worried. What if this was some kind of scheme? He tried to ignore these thoughts and nodded.
“Thank you…”
He was still unsure that any of this was real, or that his family were the same people they were before, but he felt so lonely. He needed a hug. Badly. But he would never tell them that.
…I’ll just talk to Papa later…..he understands…
"Thanks Kat," Luna gave her prima a smile. She let her hand grab the one that had been outstretched and looked between her two primos, "Do you guys just want to hang out? I, I really don't want to leave Casita today."
Val approached the group of her family members and arrived in time to hear Luna's question. "We could go to my room," she offered, sensing odd vibes with the group.
"Sure, why not?" Kat replied, giving her sister a small smile. She hadn't spent quality time with Val or their primos in a while. It honestly sounded quite appealing at the moment.
"I would like that," Luna nodded a smile growing on her face. She hadn't had time to spend with her primos despite checking up with them all on a daily basis, "How about you Eduardo?"
