" you guys are no fun."he wrote. Kane nudged the two "why dont we had some fun, being cooped up in a hospital is boring"
Norkhal’rokh blinked.
“Um… what would we be doing?”he asked.
He wasn’t sure if Kane was referring to staying out, playing games, or more… intimate matters. And the only one that Norkhal’rokh was familiar with, and considered fun, that they hadn’t already done was the naughty option.
" honestly I'm down for whatever so long as it's not sleeping or sitting around, done too much if that here lately." He wrote and chuckled.
Nori grinned, practically reading Nok's mind, leaning into the man with a hand on his thigh like on the train. "Maybe we should learn sign language…" He mumbled
Norkhal’rokh chuckled, glancing at Nori mischievously.
“Sign language would be neat to learn,”he replied softly.
His hand rested on Nori’s, thumb lightly, teasingly, caressing Nori’s knuckles. That mischievous grin of his returned.
Kane noticed them. "I know you all are thinking of a different way of leaning…" He signed and stuck his tongue out.
Nori grinned slyly, resting his head on Norkhal’rokh's shoulder and playing with Kane's hair
“Seems I have my work cut out for me. I didn’t understand a word of that,”Norkhal’rokh commented with a laugh.
" your learning style will be much different then mine was " he wrote.
Nori cocked his head. "What did he write?"
Norkhal’rokh chuckled,”He’s talking about learning styles.”
He was curious what Kane meant, and whether he was being serious or… maybe naughty. Regardless, Norkhal’rokh was in a good mood.
Kane waited till they got home to hop in his room.
Nori laughed at the information, absentmindedly staring out the window as they neared Kane's apartment. "ahh, finally. Peace and quiet." He said over the neighbors arguing next door
Kane banged on the walls, growling softly as he unlocked the door.
Norkhal’rokh raised an eyebrow at the noise. He was used to living in a manor, after all.
“A regular annoyance?”he couldn’t help asking.
Kane nodded, he started to get some leftover katdudon and set up the rice.
“Is there anything that can be done about it?”Norkhal’rokh wondered.
He watched Kane with curiosity as he made food.
Kane shook his head no, finishing up cooking.
Norkhal’rokh hummed, glancing in the direction of the neighbors. He wondered if he could use his influence to shut them up, but quickly decided against it. He didn’t bribe just anyone, and it wasn’t his specialty either. That was a job more suitable for one of his cousins.
Norkhal’rokh turned away, sitting down at the dinner table when Kane finished cooking. A soft smile appeared on his face.
"here, and then we can all think of something we can do," he wrote to nok and signed to nori.
Nori rolled his eyes. “Everyone has neighbors like that.” He sat next to Nok, grinning just as wide. “Damn… that smells even better than my Otōsan‘s.”
Nori shrugged, then helped Kane dish everything out. “Sounds good to me.”
Kane ate, thankful for his own food rather then hospital food
“Not me, apparently. I never realized neighbors could be such a nuisance,”Norkhal’rokh replied with a shrug.
He glanced at Nori when he said ‘Otōsan’, having no idea what he meant. Though, he didn’t say anything about it.
“Same here. And thank you for the lovely food,”Norkhal’rokh said with a smile. He ate quietly, content now that the three were back home.
Nori noticed his glance and chuckled, deciding to leave him questioning as well.
“Well, rich boy, you have a lot of peasant stuff to get used to.” He said as he eagerly took cartoonishly large bites.
Norkhal’rokh snickered, both at Nori’s words and the way he was eating.
“Yes, I suppose so. But, I honestly don’t mind. It’s fascinating to see the world through the eyes of folks that aren’t as fortunate as I am,”he replied. There seemed to be a hint of bitterness in his voice as he said ‘fortunate’, but it quickly vanished.
He smiled thoughtfully at the other two, content in their company.
Nori scowled slightly at Norkhal’rohk’s words, resting his chin in his hands as he stared forward.
“Yeah. Must be pretty fascinating.” he repeated with the same condescending tone.
Norkhal’rokh sighed, looking at Nori.
“I didn’t mean to sound condescending, I assure you. I was being genuine. I have never experienced what it’s like to be… not rich, I guess. And, it’s truly neat to finally see the world in a new light. My family has always looked down upon the less fortunate, and that’s one of the many reasons why I am the ‘outcast’. My brother, in particular, doesn’t like my habits, or interests, or just me in general,”he explained, a hint of sadness in his eyes.
Nori sighed as well, shaking his head slightly.
"I-I'm sorry. Its just… its not really a 'fun' experience. But… I'm sorry your family is like that. That really sucks." He mumbled, picking at his food
" hey, let's just chill okay?"
“It’s alright. And, for me, this is all a welcome change, both from routine and from my… less than pleasant family. But, anyway, I absolutely love this food, Kane,”Norkhal’rokh said, smiling softly at Kane.
