Leon started having nightmares about Kerenza being taken away from him and being abused for the rest of her life while he wasn't able to do anything.

Something haunts her mind, and she sits up in the bed, screaming.

Leon quickly sat up and went over to Kerenza's room. He practically burst into the room,"What happened?" His hair was messed up and in his face.

Kerenza had her knees curled up to her chest, and she was shaking back and forth, tears falling from her wide open eyes. She looks at Leon, then back at the wall, where she keeps seeing something appear.

He looked to where she was looking and went over to the bed and sat down. He hugged her tightly,"It's gonna be just fine," He whispered.

Her hand twitched, and she looked at him, crying into his chest. "Leon…why can't he leave me alone…I want them to leave me alone…"

"Who?" He asked as he rubbed her back.

"M-my parents…my dad haunts my nightmares…my dead mom haunts my every living moment…I hate it…" She whispers, the tears falling harder.

"I'm here now. I'll protect you from everything terrible in this world," He hugged her tighter. I'm terrible at this. She probably hates me now

"T-t-thank you…" She whispers. Why is he still here? Most people would have already abandoned me…? She asks herself

"You're welcome," He whispered back.

Her crying starts slowing down, and is replaced with small soft, sniffles and whimpers.

"It's gonna be just fine, Kerenza," He put his hands on her shoulder and looked at her. He wiped away her tears and kissed her on the cheek.

"A-all thanks t-to you…" She whimpers. She doesn't look at him. She thinks he might think she is crazy.

"I've done barely anything."

"You saved me." He must think I'm an idiot…

Yep. I'm officially the world's stupidest idiot. How did I not know that?"You're welcome. That's what soulmates are here for."

She giggles.

"It's true!"

"It's true!"

She smiles slightly, and giggles, resting her head on his chest. "Thanks…"

"You're welcome," He kissed her on the forehand and hugged her.

She smiles ever so slightly, hugging him back. "I have the most amazing soulmate ever…"

"I'm not that great," He said.

"Only you would say that about yourself…your really really amazing Leon…" She falls asleep, her head on his chest.

"Thank you," He said as he realized that she fell asleep and kissed her on the forehead on last time.

She makes a small noise, whimpering. She shivers, leaning into him sligthyl.

He got a blanket and put it over her while he made sure to not wake her up.
