Paige, Jana, Carissa, and Michelle walked up to the list. Paige saw Darren's name listed for the lead male role. "He got the main part," she whispered excitedly to her friends.
Jana smirked, "Yeah, but you better not let that get in your head, we have a game against (biggest rival school name) tonight, and we need our star player."
Paige sneered jokingly and replied, "I'll be there."
"I've trained my mind to not get freaked when going on stage," Lillian responded.
"How? Teach me your ways…"
"Do theater for 15 years and you won't feel a thing," Lillian said, "And I do have some anxiety, but it always goes away once I'm on stage."
"Unfortunately, I've never done theatre. I don't quite have that experience, and I'm still really, really anxious…"
(Sweet! Sorry, I'm so on and of… I have a huge project for school due soon plus other family stuff…)
"Well this has been fun and all, but I need to go prepare for the game against McKinley tonight. It's a big game seeing as how they are our biggest rivals!" Darren looked excited for the first time since he laid eyes on the cast list.
"You better not miss a practice," Lillian's eyes narrowed at him.
"No worries" Darren winked "I would never!"
Lillian crossed her arms and raised an eyebrow, "Uh huh."
"So are we rehearsing today or am I free to go prepare for my game?"
"We start tomorrow," Lillian put a finger against Darren's chest, "And you better be there or so help me I am not afraid to go out onto the field and drag you here."
"I'm just gonna go…" Stormy said, a little scared.
Darren chuckled, "Okay mom!"
With that Darren ran out so Lillian couldn't fight back.
"Oh he is so paying for that!" Lillian yelled as he ran.
Darren couldn't believe how nice the "Non-jocks" were in comparison to his own group of friends, and they hadn't known him for all that long. Besides they had the reason in the world to reject him! He pondered this for a moment before the coach was yelling into the locker room, "Anderson! Let's go. Time to warm up!"
Lillian huffed, she pulled out her phone and put a reminder for her to kick Darren's butt during practice tomorrow. She was not letting him get away with calling her mom. She also put in all other practice dates and performance days.
(I gtg to bed now, byeeee)
(I'm doing homework, but still checking in every once in a while…)
