(sorry, I was gone for a few days! I'm back now tho)

She listened quietly to Anna's words, nodding slightly when the other woman finished talking. "I see. Well, I must thank you again, then, for your kindness and generosity towards me." she gave a faint smile, adjusting the blankets a little bit.

Anna nodded back, handing mystery girl the water. "Do you have a name I can call you? Anything will do, but I don't let my patients degrade themselves." she noted, moving to prepare some food as this poor woman looked absolutely emaciated.

@ElderGod-Icefire

"Elanor." she said in a soft tone. "And your name is?" she raised her eyebrows faintly, taking the water and sipping at it gratefully. Sure, she had had food and water on the ship, but not much. She had mainly been focused on staying alive.

"Doctor Anna Saville, at your service. It's nice to meet you, Elanor." she said. "Now, rest for a while, and I'll make you something to eat. You certainly look to need it." she said, not condescending, not cruel, but warm, and kind for that matter. Nice and kind were two different things, and Anna strove to be kind.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Elanor smiled softly, nodding a little and leaning back against the pillows. "Thank you, Doctor Saville." she said, taking a deep breath and sipping at the water again. She was so tired now, and rather wanted to sleep.

Anna needed food anyways, and anything Elanor fell asleep to quickly to eat, she'd be able to devour quickly enough. Her wolf side took care of her pretty well, and then again, it very much didn't. She made a small meal, and when she turned to hand it to Elanor, her hand shook just briefly. She regained her composure, and moved towards Elanor.

Anna sighed. She’d have to draw the poor girl a bath too, no doubt, if only to keep the wound from getting infected. But how to wash without submersing the wound, it was all over her side! Well, she could get a small basin and wipe down any areas with dirt, but honestly she doubted Elanor would be comfortable feeling exposed like that as she certainly wouldn’t. “Are you alright? Can you eat?” she asked, handing her the meager brew and some bread.

@ElderGod-Icefire

"I can eat." she took the food, giving Anna a faint smile. "Thank you so much, Doctor Saville." she added, taking a bite of the bread first and closing her eyes for just a moment. It felt like forever since she had eaten.

She smiled back, and turned to her desk with her journal she used to log all of her patients. "Elanor" she scribbled down, along with all the relevant information to her case. In the space where she put down ways to contact said patients, she left it blank. She'd figure that out later.

@ElderGod-Icefire

She kept eating, slow and careful so as not to eat too much too fast. She was still tired, and knew that as soon as she was done eating, she was going to lay down and go to sleep rather quickly.

Anna decided she too would sleep. She slept lightly, at least when during the night, and that would work for her patient easily enough. At least the poor girl wasn't likely to die overnight.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Elanor set aside the bowl, having finished most of it, and then lay down, wincing faintly as she settled into a more comfortable position. Once settled, she dropped off to sleep relatively quickly, exhausted.

The next morning, of which Anna woke up at nearly noon, was quiet. Anna started to clean the house, she hadn’t gotten too much of a chance to do it recently and so she took the energy and time she had now to do so, keeping a careful eye on the sleeping Elanor the whole time.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Elanor was still asleep, laying on her back on the bed with her blond hair spread out around her head. It needed to be washed; really, all of her did, but it was highly unlikely that she would let someone she did not know bathe her.

Anna decided that now would be a good time to get them both something to eat, so she began to prepare some food. However, just at the moment she added more wood to the stove, the door knocked. She pondered ignoring it, what if it was someone looking to harm her patient?

Anna quickly thought, and what she thought was that the thought was irrational. Who even knew Elanor was here? She answered the door and found that her suspicions were true. "Doctor Jekyll, how lovely it is to see you! What would you be calling here for?" she asked, looking into the face of her familiar friend. "May I come in?" the soft spoken blonde asked. Anna let him in, telling him not to bother with her recent patient, she had taken care of her and besides, the poor girl was sleeping.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Elanor shifted again, still sleeping, though it was likely she would wake up at some point soon, if for no other reason than needing to use the bathroom. She was curled up into a small ball, her arms tucked close around her body.

Anna sat the two of them down in chairs facing opposite one another. "Well, what have you to say? I'm curious, you never visit."

"I'm working on a project. I'll need some help from you, if you're willing. All my old friends call me insane, you're really the only one I have left for this." he said, smiling patiently. "I know you'll love it. I want to find a way to… not exactly split the human soul, as I've theorized before… more make a copy. A pattern."

Anna choked on her spit. "No, no, I can't."

@ElderGod-Icefire

She sighed in her sleep, shifting again as her subconscious began to drag her to wakefulness, pulling her from the warm dark clutches of sleep and bringing her ever closer to the surface.

“And why not? Are you so sure that I’m wrong just off the bat? Come on, man, you’re one of my closest friends! I depend on you for your advice.” he said, leaning forward. “Anna, I look at you and I see someone just as real of a man as I am, and-“

“You see, this is why I don’t come visit more often.”

“And why is that?”

“Take a closer look at what you’re saying. I’m no man, but I’m just as capable if not more as one.” she shrugged. “That’s something you’ve never gotten in all your years.”

Anna stood up. “Look, I love how enthusiastic you are for your theories, but I think… I just can’t do this with you. It’s too strange for me. You’re a strange case, doctor Jekyll.”

@ElderGod-Icefire

Elanor finally really began to wake up, eyes flickering open just a little bit. For a moment, she was quite disoriented and struggled to take in her surroundings, but soon everything fell into place as she remembered where she was and what had happened.

Anna walked over to her awoken patient, quickly checking her temperature and then adjusting the pillows on the bed so Elanor could sit up. “Are you alright?” she asked, brushing hair out of her eyes.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Elanor blinked up at her, nodding slightly. "Mhm. I'm fine." She replied in a soft, drowsy voice. "I should like to talk a bath, though, if that will be possible?" She had no idea if it was safe for the wound to he in water or not.

Anna blinked. "Er, I don't think submerging the wound as of now would be so good." she turned to doctor Jekyll, and urged him to leave, which he did without a word. "However, I could wash your hair and wipe down any dirty areas with a warm cloth, unless you wanted to do that second part." she said.

@ElderGod-Icefire

"Er…I think I would prefer to do the second part alone." Elanor responded. Sure, she had had handmaidens, but that was different. They had never bathed her. She did not want a perfect stranger touching and seeing her body, as unsexy a situation as it was. Even if it was highly unlikely Anna thought of women that way, Elanor still did not want that.

"I'm mostly worried you'll have trouble reaching a cut or bruise that could become infected, or even just not getting fully clean, or breaking a stitch, but you seem healthy enough to take care of yourself and anyways I have some old clothes from a friend of mine that would fit you nicely." Anna rambled, she had a predisposition for that she assumed as she even rambled in her head. Like now. Oh, dear. Well, better to treat her patient now than later. "Alright, I'll draw some water outside, and let you rest a moment longer. Don't leave without me!" she said. Anna had never desired a patient before, even one who was oddly pretty in a soul way like Elanor, but she did think highly of Elanor for some reason. She just… hadn't met a patient so mysterious before, she supposed.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Elanor nodded a little at the outpouring of words from Anna's mouth, sitting up a little bit and running her hands over her hair, grimacing faintly when she felt how greasy it had become. "Alright. Thank you, Doctor Saville." she said, watching as Anna left the room.
