(also how big is the glyph?)
(It's about 2 1/2 inches.)
Half-Life: Is lost in the labyrinth of her own mind.
Epsilon: raises hand. Ooh! May I please have a jeffyfish?
Half-Life: When Epsilon speks, she's suddenly jerked back in time, to a place where Epsilon was merely a young boy, innocent and carefree. She was standing in the doorway of a cottage, calling the boy to come inside, but he couldn't hear. The memory ends.
Epsilon: turns around, blushing their fluffy blue hair out of their face as they notice half-life’s blank stare. are you okie dokie?
Half-Life: Walks over and wraps her son in a tight hug. I am so, so sorry…
(WOOOOAH)
(That’s even cooler bc epsilon doesn’t even have a story! They just kind of came to me DX)
Epsilon: is confused, yet returns the hug. don’t be sad! I can find other things to eat. Everyone here doesn’t like me and they would not apprecieciate if I ate their dreams… they thought cluelessly
(Lmao, I didn't even really know that. I'm kinda just… making shit up rn!)
Half-Life: Hugs Epsilon all the tighter. Oh gods, if I'd known you would have died that day… I- I- She bursts into tears. I am so sorry, Daniel…
Epsilon: even more confused. I can’t die… and I’m not Daniel! giggles. I’m epsilon!
Half-Life: Cries harder, knowing that this new entity that has taken over her son has no idea that the kid it posessed had a family. Quietly, she grips the knife hidden in her waistband, then quickly brings it up, burying it up to the hilt in the demon's chest. It would be a quick death for the demon, and it should release her child.
Epsilon: choked on tears, crying out as they drop limply.
That… that hurts!! Why did you hurt me?! they cried
Half-Life: Sobbing I- I'm sorry, Epsilon… I know you were just trying to survive. M- maybe you'll come back as another one of my children…
Epsilon: stares, terrified as they slowly start to die.
B-but I can’t die! I can’t! they choked, coughing up blood as they laid limply on the ground.
It hurts so bad…
Half-Life: Still holding Epsilon, her tears starting to dry. Shhh… I know… just wait for me in the Afterlife, okay? I'm sorry about this… I'll make sure you come back, okay?
Epsilon: cries, trying to wiggle away from half-life.
Why don’t you like me? What did I do wrong? they cried softly, skin growing cold as their breath slowly escaped. Their limp body splayed on the floor in a mural of pain and betrayal.
Half-Life: Sobs quietly for a few minutes. Then, she wipes away her tears and drys her eyes. Slowly, she gets up, pulling Epsilon's dead form out of her child, knowing Daniel will be unharmed.
Epsilon: writhes and twitches even in death
Daniel: slowly starts to wake up, blinking softly. hello?
Half-Life: Smiles Oh gods, you're you… she wraps Daniel in a tight hug. I missed you lots, did you know that?
Daniel: coughs violently. wh-where am I?
Half-Life: Leans back slightly. We are home, Daniel. We agreed: home is wherever we are. She strokes her child's forehead, relieving him of any and all negative effects possesion had on him.
Kek: Did you just kill my couin?
Leo: confused, to Daniel Are you still my friend? Do you member me?
Half-Life: Glances at Kek I am sorry, but your cousin posessed my child.
Daniel: choked slightly, bending over as he coughs again. m-mother? he looks over at Epsilon’s limp form, having shifted back to its subconscious, demon appearance. th-them…
Half-Life: A sigh of relief escapes her. I almost wasn't sure this would work, Daniel. It's… it's been a long time since you were you. Glances over at Epsilon, then decides on something. Carefully, she picks the demon up and splits her form in half. The effort of doing so nearly caused her to collapse, but it was done. Gently, she revives Epsilon and guides his form over to the half of her. There you go, Epsilon.
Daniel: coughs again, slumping backward. d-dont you see? Epsilon… saved me. he winced. Epsilon is me. he coughed violently again, groaning as he laid back.
Half-Life: Turns to Epsilon Is- Is that true? If this is true, w- why wasn't I told about it?
Epsilon: struggles to speak without their other half. Y-y-yes… We fused… I am Daniel. Daniel is me
Half-Life: Starts crying again, she fuses the two and watches as she loses her child once more.
Epsilon: gasps for air, then hugs half-life tightly, sobbing. It's me. It's me, mama.
Half-Life: Gasps, then wraps Epsilon in a tight hug Oh gods, I'm sorry, Epsilon…
