Kera felt the stab of the needle. The sudden release of her chest made her gasp for air.

Boris nodded, then pointed at Kera’s tea.

“Beta, would you dump that? Considering the way she reacted, I don’t want to risk it,”he said softly.

He then sat down, continuing to watch Kera.

Jonathan nodded at Boris, watching the two closely as he grabbed the tea cup. He was immensely relieved that Kera seemed to be doing a bit better, but he was still concerned. He dumped the tea and thoroughly washed out the cup, just in case.

Kera sat back on her legs still breathing roughly. She help her chest tightly and waited for Jonathan to come back down on her level to lean on him. Her chest hurt like hell.

Keigo watched confused " the hell just happened?"

“Yeah, what the fuck was that?”Bull asked, concerned.

Amelia continued to watch, not bothering to ask what Keigo and Bull already had.

Jonathan gently held Kera’s shoulder, an alternative to wrapping his arm around her, this way he wouldn’t constrict her in any way. His thumb softly rubbed her arm, offering comfort to her.

Boris continued to watch Kera, then glanced at Keigo.

“That would’ve been the onset of anaphylaxis, which is just a technical term for a really, really fucking bad allergic reaction. I’m not entirely sure what it was at the moment, but I’d guess the tea was a contributor,”Boris explained.

He then turned back to watching Kera.

" coffee. im extremely allergic to coffee." she huffed out. " it has to be cleaned compleatly before i can use it. its why i only trusted jonathan to do it. " she said and lowered her head a bit

keigo looked shocked " you've never said that before… i guess that explained why you stayed away from the medic, he always had coffee.."

“Damn. I remember you commenting about being allergic, but I didn’t think it was that fucking bad,”Bull said.

Jonathan continued to hold Kera, watching her. He didn’t really want to get involved in the conversation, as he just wanted to make sure Kera was alright, but if spoken to, he’d answer.

Boris glanced at the coffeemaker as Kera spoke, pondering a few things. Though, he continued to keep an eye on Kera.

Keras breathing got better, though her body stayed tired. " Thank you Boris.. I'm pretty sure you saved my life.."

Boris nodded at Kera.

“I’m here to help in any way I can. Now, just take it easy, and let me know if you start feeling like you’re having another reaction. Hopefully, you won’t,”he said.

kera nodded and leaned completely on jonathan, she coughed a bit, tears still staining her cheeks

" im sorry kera.. i didnt know.." he said softly. keigo sighed.

Jonathan cradled Kera, still being careful to not accidentally crush her. He then noticed the tears and gently wiped off her face.

He looked up at Keigo when he spoke.

“It’s alright, Keigo. Accidents happen,”he said gently.

Amelia wrapped a comforting arm around Keigo, rubbing his back to soothe him. She smiled appreciatively at Jonathan’s words.

Keigo sighed

Kera finally got calmed down.

Amelia leaned against Keigo’s shoulder, looking up at him gently.

“Accidents happen, love,”she said softly, still rubbing his back.

Jonathan tenderly held onto Kera, brushing his hand through her hair. He watched her, a soft, hopeful smile on his face when she seemed to be doing better.

" thank you love." Kera said specifically to the other.

“You’re welcome,”Jonathan said softly, brushing a few other strands of her hair back.

" I'm.. I'm going to go lay back down.." she said softly. As she stood she wobbled a bit before gripping the counter

Jonathan stood and helped steady her.

“Come on. I’ll help ya,”he said, wrapping an arm around Kera so he could help her walk.

Kera gave one last glace at bull before heading back to lay down

Jonathan helped Kera to his room, keeping an eye on her on the way. He kept to a pace that Kera was comfortable with, this way he wasn’t rushing her.

Bull noticed Kera’s glance and sighed. He watched the pair leave.

“That kid really does have a big heart,”he said, shaking his head.

There was a regretful gleam in his eyes.

Kera laid down with an off like sound, pulling Jonathan with her. " Why does my body feel like it's on fire.."

Jonathan chuckled at being pulled down, then stared at her with a mixture of curiosity and caution.

“How so?”he asked.

" just feels hot, I don't know if it's after hives or somthin.."

Jonathan nodded, then gently rubbed her arm.

“It might be the after effects of the reaction. If you want, I can text Boris to bring some water. I’d do it, but I don’t really feel like moving,”he said, chuckling a bit at the last part.

" it's fine.." she said and nuzzled into Jonathan's chest

“Alright.”

He wrapped his arm around her, cradling her against him.

kera fell asleep quickly

Jonathan smiled as she fell asleep. He continued to hold her.

keigo came from his room. " i still feel horrible. "

Amelia held his hand and gently squeezed it.

“It’s alright, Keigo. Accidents do happen, and none of us, except maybe Jonathan, really knew much about her allergy or its severity, if anything at all,”she said soothingly.

" yeah but I should have, hell I was her partner for three years and her lover for one of those.

“Sometimes details go unnoticed, even after years of knowing someone. It took me, I don’t even know how many, years to realize how horrible Maxim was, and only because I had become the target. Now, I know that’s a horrible comparison, but I’m pretty sure it gets my point across, yes?”Amelia said softly, her expression gentle.
