Kaz looked back over his shoulder, electrocuting a few guards that threw themselves at him. "Come on, we don't have all night!" he snarled at the others

Tezia snarls at the guy (Kaz) and speeds up, passing him

Kaz rolls his eyes, turning the corner. The guards haven't seemed to have reached that area of the street yet, so Kaz turns and runs down the alley as fast as he can

Tezia skids past the alley but follows after (Kaz), "Where… Are … We going…?" She breaths heavily

"My apartment block," Kaz says, a little out of breath. He was a little tired after striking the helicopter down, but he kept going. "Don't worry, we're almost there."

Tezia reaches up and makes sure the kid/dragon was secure enough on her shoulder
(Why do I think of Game of Thrones…)

"Better not be far." Grey huffed, not much breath to talk.

Kaz nodded. "Just a block or so through this alley, don't worry," he panted

"Its kinnda hard not to worry…" Tezia hisses

They rounded the corner, which ended right next to a tall, dingy brick building. A few of the lights were on, and a neon sign that was partially broken and a few of the lights needed to be fixed. The sign was right above what looked like the door to the basement, and Kaz skidded to a stop. "In here!" he said, dragging them through the door

"Ah! Okay." Grey hopped in after Kaz, not questioning the situation any more.

Tezia ducked inside by herself, looking around the room they where in. She reaches up for the boy/dragon

They walked into the room, which was a warmly lit bar. A tired-looking guy in a green tank top who looks a lot like a hippie was sitting on the bar counter, sipping a beer, and a few people were scattered here and there. The guy on the counter looked up. "Welcome to the Blackout, can I-oh. Hey Kaz." Kaz waved.

"You need to lock up now. The lab is coming."

Tezia backs up to the back of the room, one hand on the dragon

Malachi jumps off her shoulder, shifting back to his usual form, falling unconscious again.

Tezia yelps and bent down rolling him over to see his wound

(Sorry, I was going home. I'm here now.)
"And how do we know that you're place is safe?" Kaden hissed at Kaz. "For all we know you could be leading us into s trap."

(np) Kaz scowled at him. "Because I shoot goddamn lightning out of my hands!" he yelled. "And everyone else in this apartment block has some sort of ability like me! And if they find this place and go through it, we're all screwed!"

"So then we're setting everyone else up at your complex because we're leading these people straight towards them."

The man on the counter slid off, frowning. "Hey, wait a second. What's going on here?" he asked. Kaz sighed.

"We got chased by the lab guys. They were right on our tails a few blocks away, and I'm trying to explain to everyone we're okay here." The guy from the counter smiled.

"Oh yeah. Those lab goons aren't getting in any time soon, not unless I flip a little switch behind the bar that throws up an attention deflector. Actually, should probably do that right now." The guy went behind the counter, moving a few bottles to the side. There was a small switch on the wall, and he flipped it dramatically. "There. They won't notice us at all when the deflector's on."

Kaden pulled his eyes. "Again, how do you know they won't fond us? Whoever those people are, they know what they're doing. I'm pretty sure they'll find us eventually."

Tezia was to preoccupied, trying to help the boy

Kaz huffed, sitting in one of the bar stools. "I've lived here for all of 12 years, and we've had situations like this at least once a month. We've been searched twice, they didn't find anything. We know what we're doing."

"There's a first time for everything darling." He leaned against the bar.

Kaz went a little red at being called 'darling.' "Well, we should be alright. As long as we lay low for the next day or two," he said after clearing his throat

"You think they won't wait that long?" He shrugged off his jacket, exposing his buff arms.
