Boy how I love getting writer's block as soon as I decide to respond and/or get an idea! 🤩🤩 we have fun here <33 //
"You haven't joined me at a gathering since before you had kits. Just like old times." Swiftstar said to her mate, wrapping their tails around each other. "I'm glad you could come."
Springheart smiled, purring slightly, as she shuffled to move a bit closer to her mate. "Being at this gathering is bringing back memories." she sighed, twitching her ear. "Like when we all got announced as being new apprentices?" she looked over at Swiftstar, who was already looking at her. She smiled as she spoke, "I just can't wait for our kits to get that experience."
"Barkclawww-" Hawkwillow whined as his brother padded over. "Barkclaw, he's right there what do I doooo-" He glanced over at Fawnstar who hadn't joined Shadowclaw in the tree yet chatting to a few ShadowClan elders, one of which nudged him hard as they burst out laughing.
Barkclaw sighed, sitting down beside his brother as he looked over at the ThunderClan. A ginger-white-and-black calico she was laughing while saying something, though Barkclaw couldn't hear what it was that she was saying. The brown tabby tom shrugged, trying to think of something to say to his littermate.
He was still figuring out relationship problems of his own. He and Poppyheart had been growing close and he did truly like her, but he didn't know if she felt the same. 'Lightningswipe was an honorable warrior. I would understand if she's still hesitant to take a mate again…'
Barkclaw couldn't help but gaze over at Poppyheart, the dark gray tabby she-cat was sitting beside Hareflight. The two she-cat's seemed to be deep in a conversation.
He looked away and faced Hawkwillow. "Well, you could always talk to him. I'll go with you if you want." He offered.
After he spoke, Barkclaw noticed Fawnstar get up and start to walk away from the ShadowClan elders. The ThunderClan leader looked around and when he noticed some WindClan cats, his fellow clanmates, the lanky golden-brown stared to pad towards them.
"He's going towards Redfern, Rowanwhisker, Berrytail, and a couple of others. Just go over." He nudged his brother. Hoping what he was saying could possibly help him.
Mistpaw's eyes brightened at the sound of her friend's new name. "Yeah, it's Mistpaw now, though." She replied. "So, how's ShadowClan been treating you?"
Skunkstripe nodded. "An apprentice? nice."
The large she-cat shrugged at Mistpaw's question. "It's alright." she gave quite the basic answer, though she didn't mean to sound rude. "It's not where I was born, but it's starting to become home."
They thought to themself as RiverClan flooded in over the fallen tree.
SQUIRRELSTAR! LET'S GO!!! //
RiverClan entered the gathering.
Squirrelstar wasq in the front, leading her clan over the tree bridge and into the gathering. WindClan, ThunderClan, and ShadowClan were all already there and waiting.
"Why, Hello all!" she greeted loudly, her voice echoing.
Many turned to look at her and her clan. She heard a few murmurs about how RiverClan had finally chosen to show up. The muscular ginger she-cat ignored the comments, though she would have usually called the cat out. She knew basically every cat around the lake. She had been along for a long while, and she constantly joked how StarClan was going to take her away very soon. But today? no, today she was here and was excited to announce what was happening in RiverClan. She had news to share, plus, she hadn't been this late to a gathering since Adderstar was still the leader of ShadowClan.
Squirrelstar padded through the crowd, her deputy, Silversong padding close behind her. She flicked her tail, signaling to her clan that they could leave and talk to others, and they did just that. RiverClan broke off behind her, separating into small groups as they began to go mingle with the other Clans.
