Malachi feared for his life and was willing to let Tezia carry him. For now. He didn't want to trouble her for much longer.

Tezia bolts to her feet and starts running, in the opposite direction of the others

(Matt: Hey look 'ere. There are different kinds of alcohol out there, kid. But I gotta say from my years of experience, they're all good. hands him a beer even though Malachi is wayyyy under age
Malachi: Um okay… *about to drink it
Kaz and Kaden jump through the window and begin threatening Matt after they slap the bottle away)

Suddenly a guard appears in their path, followed by a van that opens letting out about 5 more soldiers.

(more to go on my to-draw list lol) Kaz breaks into a run, away from the guards. "Follow me, there's a safehouse a block or so away!" he yells over his shoulder

Tezia scrapes her heels stopping, "Shit…" She backs up

Grey summons a barrage of small daggers to launch at the guards before running after Kaz. She might regret her decision later but it was the only one at the moment.

"Other way," Malachi suggests, still in desperate need of proper medical attention.

Tezia snarls, "I know. They're there too."

Concentrating, he imagined himself shifting. It hardly ever worked, but now was more than a good time. In Tezia's arms she now held a small red dragon, still bleeding. His wings were untouched by injuries however. Wiggling out of her grasp, he stood on the ground and bared his teeth at the guards. He turned and gave a look to Tezia. He would distract them for her.

Giving Tezia a nod, signaling her to run, he summons the strength left inside him.
The guards from the van grabbed their guns and were loading them. Except they couldn't shoot what they couldn't get to. He breathed out fire, blocking the narrow alleyway. Flames licked the scattered debris blocking the path.
It wouldn't last long, because A he was weak, B he wasn't used to his abilities. He quickly took to the sky and looked out for Tezia. He flew in and out of abandoned buildings to avoid being seen for long.
Finding her near the group already running, he landed on her shoulder, extremely tired.

Tezia shrieked slightly when he did but didnt slow down
