Avrey blushes, scratching the back of his neck. He smiles at the ground, too embarrassed to say anything. He leads Kenji to the outside of a kept up arcade. “W-well, uh, here we are.”

" cool!" Kenji says and rushed in. " Woah.." he said half amazed. He'd never actually been roller skating so this was new

Avrey laughs, shyly fingering the buttons on his jacket. “My mum used to take me here all the time. It was where me and J-“ he stops himself. “Never mind. Let’s go rent the skates”

Kenji tilted his head a bit but didn't object to getting skates. He went out on the rink pretty wobbly " ack!" He Yelped as he fell

Avrey hurriedly picks up Kenji, holding him close. “Hey, not so fast.” He says, laughing a bit. “Like this.” He holds Kenji’s hands tightly, then starts pushing backwards with his feet

Kenji seemed extremely unsure after falling. He had a somewhat scared look on his face and watched their feet

Avrey held Kenji tightly, looking deep into his eyes. “Hey, just watch me.” He rolls out into the rink, hand still interlaced with the other’s. “I’ll take you.”

Kenji nodded and followed swiftly afterwards

Avrey smiles, keeping his careful grip on Kenji. “There! You’ve got it!”

Kenji laughed and watched as he didn't fall " haha!"

Avrey smiles, loosening his grip a bit and speeding up. “Good! You’re doing great!” He laughs, then drops it, staring to think of the last time he was here. “You’re doing… great.”

" hey.. what's wrong?" Kenji asked softly. The runner had heard someone else walk in but paid no attention

Avrey shakes his head, quickly covering his sadness with a smile. “Nothing.” He looks back at the new person who came in, then ducks his head. “Shit… not here. Not now.”

"Avrey!" Kenji yelped as came off balance. " Woah!" He said right before someone had caught him "?"

Avrey looks up at the person who had caught his boyfriend, turning red. “Oh, uh, hey.”

" hello again.." he said softly an watched as the smaller squirmed to be back in avreys arms " who's this?"

Avrey holds Kenji gently, turning even more red as he looks over the newcomer. “Uh… a-an old friend.” He smiles softly. “H-how are you?”

" good. Still tripping over memories but I'm gettig better."

Avrey clears his throat, rubbing his arm. “Uh… Kenji… wanna keep skating? Or…”

" sure.." Kenji said softly, he eyes the other man suspiciously

Avrey takes his hand, quickly going over to the other side of the rink. “Thank god that’s over…”

" who was that.. Kenji asked softly

Avrey sighs, holding onto Kenji tighter. “My ex…” he shakes his head. “I didn’t want to see him again, but here we are.”

Kenji sighed softly" we can leave av.. we don't have to be here.."

Avrey shakes his head. “No. I don’t want to leave because of… him. I want to be here because of you.” He smiles at Kenji. “But I mean, if you want to leave we can”

" I'm not very good at this.." he said softly and chuckled. Kenji stayed close to a avrey scared of both the other male and falling

Avrey half smiles, looking back at Jacob, then helping Kenji off the rink. “Well, you did great! Let’s go find something else to do”

" o..okay.." he said softly and gave one last look at Jacob

Avrey practically carries Kenji to a bench, watching as Jacob scowled. “Well, uh, we could stay here, or there’s a mall across the street.”
