“ i took the bullet because you have something to live for, you’ve Done nothing but been good to me. And i Put a fox in the bed. So you can leave me if you want, it’s only fair. “ he hissed in pain when suni put pressure on the wound “ fuck, suni go easy.” He asked.
Suni gave a glare "don't give me that bullshit, Kyro. We all reasons to live and not live. I'm no exceptions." He lightened his touch and muttered a 'sorry' as he slowly lifted the cloth. He sighed softly and gently pressed the cloth back to kyro's arm. "Can you hold this in place for a moment?" He asked, handing off the rag to Kyro and standing. "I'll be right back." He promised, shifting into his fox form and trotting off into the trees
Kyro nodded, relaxing his body. He whispered curses under his breath, his body was aching and the sent of his clan drawing closer as they searched deeper into the woods. Though while he felt like he was light headed and getting ready to pass out, his mind kept telling him to wait for suni. wait.. he would constantly think when ever he closed his eyes.
(I tis alive! Happy New year's btw!)
Suni clumsily made his way through the trees and brush, mind flooded with worry for his family and now for Kyro. He prayed go his ancestors that all would remain safe. He made his way towards the south, knowing of an old ruin that he and his clan had used a place to trail and as a refuge. Since Kyro's clan had attacked from a similar direction, he hadn't wanted to risk going there. But now he needed those supplies, no matter what potential danger awaited him. He slowed as he came near to the ruins, sniffing around for any Intruders before shifting and slinking around fallen columns and debris.
Kyro eventually lost himself, his head resting against the tree. He could smell the clan closing in on his blood sent. One of the wolves peeked it's head around the corner " the boss is hit.."
Suni retrieved a first aid bag from the hidden crevis among the ruins and started back towards where he had left Kyro. Near The entrance of the ruins. Suni caught the scent of another fox. He breathed a sigh of relief and paused. "Come out Kona." He growled softly, watching as the young kitsune slipped out from behind a tree. Before Suni could begin to reprimand him for sneaking awkay from the pack, kona began to speak. "Harrow told me to go check on you. He's with Kali." He said quickly, worry for his leader written all over his expression. Suni huffed a sigh and gebtly ruffled Kona's hair. "I'm okay. Just grabbing some stuff." He reassured, shouldering the bag. Kona tilted his head in confusion.
"It's for Kyro. He was shot by the other clan." Suni explained softly, jerking his head towards the trees. "Go back to the rest. I don't want to worry about you while taking care of him, alright. Until I get back you're in charge." He gavr a wink and hugged the white haired kitsune before nudging him in the direction that he came from. "Stay safe my little ghost." He whispered, shifting back to a fox and quickly making his way back to kyro
Kyro was growling weakly. " I.. suggest you get your hind ends out of here before I tear you all apart. " He said. He was standing but he more then likely wouldn't be for long. He watches as his clan breaks the bond between him and the wolf pack
" Don't ever come back" a greyish haired male spat out " your a traitor to your kind and should be punished. But I guess that bullet wound is enough. Let go!" He barked at the clan an the began to move out.
Kyro fell to his knees, whining and holding his arm. He lowered his head as he felt every ounce of courage drain from him.
Sunil was forced to loop around the area from where he had left Kyro, smelling his clan everywhere. He only prayed to the sacred nine-tailed spirits looking over them that they were all safe. He finally found an entrance where the scent was fainst and eventually made his way through the over grown brush to the clearing. He barked out in terror when he saw Kyro a few feet off from the tree he had left him resting by now luring on the ground. He trotted over and ever so gently nudged Kyro's shoulder, a soft worried whine coming from him. He tugged on Kyro's short, his scent mixed with blood and sweat filling Suni's senses as he attempted to get Kyro to at least sit up so that his wounds could be tended to.
Kyro eased up, “ suni..” he said weakly and pet the fox slightly “ I’m fine..” he huffed out and sat back on his legs. His eyes were dazed and streaming with tears. His clans smell was fading. “ their leaving. No.. no longer after me.. I’m not apart of the clan anymore..” he explained softly
Suni paused as Kyro pet him, unsure how to feel about it. He was used to pets from his fellow clan mares, not from outsiders. He snickered softly, tentatively nudging his head into Kyro's hand before pulling away and dragging the medical kit towards where Kyro had settled. He shifted and started to work on the bullet wound, gently cleaning it. "I'm sorry." He muttered softly, keeping his focus on keeping his hands from shaking. "You can stay with us if you have no place else to go. I owe you one for saving my life and that of my clans. I can't guarantee an official place in the Kitsune clan but I see no harm in having you stay with us until you recover and stabalize yourself, whether alone or with a clan of your choosing." He offered, sucking in a deep breath and grabbing a pair of tweezers. "Promise me you won't bit my head off, alright. This is going to hurt a lot."
" thank you.. your the most - fuck me!" He yelped out as suni pulled the bullet out. While kyro had bared his sharp teeth he never went after Suni or showed any signed of hostility. He whined afterwards "remind me to never got shot again.."
Suni flinched, only imagining how much Kyro was hurting. He forced himself to continue until the bullet was out. Quickly cleaning the blood and applying antibiotics to the wound, he wrapped Kytoms arm in gauze. He hugged a sigh and sat back, needing to calm his racing heartbeat. "Duely noted." He replied, standing and stretching. "Can you walk? We have to get back to the rest soon." He asked softly, putting away the medical equipment.
" I can try.." he said kyro tried to stand and leaned against Suni for a moment " thanks little fox" he said with a smirk.
Suni caught Kyro As he fell, wrapping his arms around his waist and shoulder. He rolled his eyes in mock annoyancebto hide the blush warming his xheels and shouldered the medical kit. "Let's get back to the others and get some well deserved rest." He muttered, slowly starting to walk back towards where he had left the clan
" yeah, " kyro said. He rubbed at his scars. Come to think of it.. if kyro had been wolf born.. the scars on his head and back lined up with where his tail and ears would have been.
"poor little wolf," Suni cooed after a while, wanting to lighten the mood a bit as they walked. He peeked at the scars poking out from under Kyro's shirt. "Youre used to pain, huh?" He asked softly, visibly relaxing when the collective scent of his clan mate filled his nose. "No one's going to hurt you here." He promised "well, maybe accept Kona." He laghed softly as he spied the young kitsune by his big brother.
" I still wanna apologize.." he said softly, kyro whined a bit when suni asked if he was used to pain " you have no idea" he mumbled and let go of suni, trying to stand on his own.
Suni shook his head as he slowly stepped away from Kyro. "Don't apologies Kyro. I should have been more careful. Especially knowing the potential danger I could have put my clan mates. His brows turned up in worry before sighing softly and shaking his head. "You don't deserve that." He muttered softly, glancing behind him as he heard some of his clan calling for him. "Rest Kyro, you're safe here. A healer should be making rounds s make sure to have them take a look at the wound. I'll be back as soon as possible."
Kyro nodded and sat leaned against a tree, he dosed off quickly into a deeper sleep. God he was exhausted.
Sunibstayed up with the healers, making sure every single one of his clan mates were safe and taken care of. He passed around food and blankets, not wanting to step over the healers as they worked. He stayed awake until he was the last one sleeping. He barely had enough energy to shift but did it anyways, finding it better to sleep on the forest floor than in his human form. Flopping down beside Kyro, he looked him over once more before curlimg in on himself and falling into a well needed sleep
Kyro had woken silently in the night, feeling sunis warmth. he smiled and pulled the fox closer, he's.. honestly cute like this.. he thought to himself, he could feel the heat rising in his cheeks as he let the fox, scratching behind sunis ears softly.
Suni gave a small whine at being pet, tilting his head up into Kyro's hand as he shifted closer. Lifting his head slightly he gently swatted at the other's hand, silently telling him to go back to sleep before he dropped his head back onto his paws. He gave kyro's hand one last appreciative nudge before falling back to sleep
Kyro chuckled. He watched the stars for a bit before curling around suni and wrapping the blanket around both of them." Night suni.." he said softly and put his arm protectively around the fox. He'd fell asleep quite quickly
Suni slowly awoke to the sound of chatter and barking surrounding him. Yawning satisfyingly, he tried to sit up, now only realizing there was something heavy holding him down. He also noticed a different scent around him, not the scent of his clan but still familiar. He peeked up at Kyro, a soft bark escaping him seeing the other so close. As carefully as possible, Suni shimmied his way out from under Kyro's arm, dispite his reluctance. He sat beside him and shook himself out and shifted to normal as a male approached him with two cooked rabbit from a fire a few of the older wolves had set up. "Why didn't you wake me?" Suni asked softly, hungrily tearing into the roasted rabbit, having not eaten since the day before due to the attack. The male jerked his head towards Kyro and smirked. "Didn't want to risk getting out head bitten off by the hound. He didn't seem to want to let you go."
Suni blushed and focused on eating. "Thank you." He muttered, taking a peek at Kyro's sleeping form before he watched the fox slink away.
kyro felt suni move, though eventually he woke. kyro sat up and whimpered as he put pressure on his arm. he stood up and stretched. "mm.." he hummed s he stretched
Suni had finished his breakfast and had buried the bones beneath a nearby tree. Now he sat scanning the clan, his attention snapping up as he heard Kyro move. "Morning," he greeted softly, gently nudging the rabbit towards him. "Courtesy of Leo. How's your wound?"
kyro nudged the food away. he was used to not eating very much. kyro sighed " it hurts like hell but it was kinda worth it."
