"Chino doesn't die he gets arrested. I'm sure you'll do great."
"Chino doesn't die he gets arrested. I'm sure you'll do great."
"Oh, hello." Luena spoke up to the group starting to crowd the cast list. She held out a hand to Lillian.
"I'm Luena, the stage manager for this performance. And you are?" Luena mentally slapped herself for sounding like a teacher.
She nodded,"Thanks."
"Lillian," she took the hand, "I'm playing Maria. Also curse my poor memory. West Side Story and Romeo and Juliet always get mixed up in my head."
"I'm not really sure exactly sure.. I just read the Wikipedia article." Stormy said.
"Well, when do we get our scripts? I have no idea what this musical's about, so I at least need to know what I'm supposed to say."
"I'm-uh-Darren Anderson." Darren was mortified. He couldn't believe he had THE lead male part.
"The scripts should be handed out at our first rehearsal." Luena replied.
"And it's nice to meet you all."
"Same to you," She said.
"I'm Lloyd Windsor, by the way. Apparently I'm playing…" He glanced at the paper. "Riff?"
"Yeah. I'm Stormy Chambers playing Bernardo" said Stormy.
"I'm Raven Carter, playing Chino," She said.
Luena nodded, before pushing her glasses back up her nose.
"I should probably get going." Luena lied smoothly, quickly moving to leave.
She walked away, but once she was out of sight, she sprinted.
Lillian looked at Darren, "You good?"
//so ha my child has said nothing for three pages
"yeah I guess… didn't expect to get a lead that's all…"
//so ha my child has said nothing for three pages
(What???)
"I'm not all that surprised," Lillian responded, "You fit the role well."
"Yeah, you were good, Darren. I'm pretty glad I don't have a lead though. It would make me really anxious."
"But you have a lead role?" Lillian looked at him confused.
"It doesn't say so on the sheet… it says Darren's the lead, and I'm just Riff."
"The lead means he is the main character of the story," Lillian rolled her eyes, "Riff is just as important as Maria or Tony."
Lloyd's heart started racing. "Oh god… well, guess I'm screwed then, huh?"
"You'll do fine Lloyd," Lillian reassured him, "You techies do more work than any of the actors."
"Yeah, but we're not on stage! I've never acted before!" He was getting increasingly more anxious.
"Then why did you get on stage?" Lillian asked him, "If you've done it once, you can do it again."
"I got on stage because I panicked! She called me up, and I didn't know what to do, so I just… I-I dunno, went up?"
(im back)
"You'll do great Lloyd. Plus I think we all got a little anxiety on stage except for maybe Lillian here." Stormy said.
Lloyd started pacing a bit. "Why would I do this to myself?! Stupid… stupid, stupid!"
