Serenity thinks a moment. "Still very hot. Also, very open compared to back home."
Serenity thinks a moment. "Still very hot. Also, very open compared to back home."
Ali grins at her, then looks back at the sky. "Man, then you haven't seen Los Angeles yet." She chuckles slightly.
Serenity laughs. "Road trip at the end of semester?"
Ali smiles, leaning her head back. "Hell yeah."
Serenity laughs. "Okay! First stop: Los Angeles. After that… who knows?"
Ali grins, looking back up at the trees. “Yeah. Who knows…”
She looks over at a nearby bush, admiring the leaves and pocketing a few
Serenity snaps a pic of Ali grabbing the leaves. "You know, it's very easy to catch you doing something cute." she grins.
Ali blushes again, and can't keep herself from smiling. "It can't be that easy" She jokes, taking a few more.
"It really is." Serenity snickers, snapping a couple more photos of Ali, then putting the camera away and laying down next to her.
Ali smiles, then stands, looking around for more materials. A few berries, dry orange tree twigs, some sap. Those should be able to last her through her… experiments. She lays back down next to Serenity, closing her eyes and sighing.
Serenity had her eyes closed, but opened them when Ali got up. "What are you doing?"
Ali shrugs, saying the thing she had for years. “Oh, I just like collecting things I guess. From nature. Flower pressing and stuff. They’re very interesting to study.” She yawns, closing her eyes again
"Fair enough." Serenity says, yawning as well and closing her eyes.
Ali wakes up, not entirely sure how long she was asleep. She groans, standing up and rubbing her sore back. “Serenity, hey. Wake up”
Serenity startles awake, then looks around. "Oh, Jesus…" she mutters, rubbing her face. "How long have we been here?"
Ali fluffs her hair. “I-I dunno.” She checks her watch, then looks toward the setting sun. “Shit!! Too long!!”
Serenity sighs. Her stomach growls. "Damn. I'm hungry. Let's head home." she says, picking Ali up and jogging them back to the college dorms.
Ali laughs, holding onto Serenity as she burrows her face in her shoulder against the coastal wind. She giggles once they get to their dorms, hopping down. “Damn! Why is that so fun?”
"I dunno." Serenity laughs. "Anyways, let's head inside so I can make us a meal."
Ali nods, opening the door for Serenity and happily laying on the couch. “That was so fun…” she mumbles, closing her eyes again.
Serenity enters, then closes the door behind her. She grins at Ali's hoarding of the couch, then goes into the kitchen, grabbing stuff for a quick, but filling, soup. It only takes twenty minutes to make. "Food!" she calls into the living room.
Ali smiles, hurrying into the kitchen. “That smells amazing…” she says as she rests her chin on Serenity’s shoulder. “How do you do it?” She chuckles, grabbing some bowls and spoons
"Practice and a never-ceasing search for filling foods." Serenity grins, resting her head a moment on Ali's before Ali went to go grab some spoons and bowls.
Ali smiles, setting them around her table. “What would be your favorite dish?”
"Spaghetti with real tomato sauce and meatballs." Serenity says without hesitation.
Ali laughs, smiling. “So you like the simple stuff, huh? Do you make the noodles yourself too?”
Serenity laughs and smiles at Ali. "I actually do know how to, but no, not usually, since I don't normally have the time."
Ali grins, helping Serenity finish up the soup and bring it to the table. “Maybe we should take a cooking class together and find out.” She heads into the pantry, grabbing some rolls and sitting at the table
"Okay!" Serenity chuckles. As soon as she sits down, she starts eating. In a couple minutes, the soup is gone and she grabs another bowlful, and it disappears just as quickly as the first bowl.
Ali watches, smiling, then eats just as eagerly, desperate to finish the soup. “This is so good!”
