Amelia gave Kera a stern look, but didn’t reply. She still gazed at the picture, amazed by it.
“I know you mentioned that you and Max grew up on a ship, but you never talked about it. Why?”Amelia asked.
Jonathan shrugged,”I saw no point in explaining, and my memory is still a little fuzzy about it. Also, Max.”
Amelia rolled her eyes at the mention of Maxim. Jonathan winced a bit.
“But, besides all this, why the fuck was Kera in your room?”Amelia questioned.
Jonathan sighed, scratching the back of his head.
“Well, after we realized that we had known each other, we got to talking. I had apparently forgotten a shit ton, and the talk helped clear a lot of it up. That, and I was showing her pics of Max,”he answered.
Amelia looked at Kera suspiciously.
“And I’m being honest, Amelia. I know keenly how it feels to be manipulated, and Kera hasn’t done that.”
