“PLANE-TOUCHED?! MY NAME IS AURETTA MIKI! PLEASE!” Auretta starts crying. “There…There has to be another way…” she whimpers.

You have been touched by the life of this plane. Hence, you are Plane-Touched. Death says, his gaze boring into Auretta, willing her to see the truth of everything he's said. Val watches, ready to intervene.

Nori growls at death, staring at them straight in their blackened face. "TAKE ME!!" He huffs, scowling. "Take me instead!!"

Auretta’s eyes widen. “Nori, no!!!” she cries. “This is my burden- Not yours-“

Val glares at Nori, then stomps over, looking him dead in the eyes. "If you go, I go." Death watches all this silently.

Auretta looks between them, tears streaming down her face. “No…no, no, no-“ she whispers. “NO!!!!” she yells as the wind becomes harsher. “NEITHER OF YOU ARE GOING!”

Nori smiles. Somewhere else, death has already taken him. "too late." He says softly, as his limp figure drops to the ground, lifeless.

Death watches, silently. He leaves eventually. Val looks stunned, then growls. Her form starts to glow once more, and she places her hands on Nori's chest. "You asshole!" she screams, forcing his heart to start beating once more.

Nori doesn't move. His soul is stuck elsewhere, needing to overcome the trials of death to win back his life. (I actually have a ton of homework to do so I'll actually have to dip lmaoo)

Auretta rushes to Nori’s side, eyes wide with fear and sadness. “Nori! Nori, don’t go!” she cries. “NORIAKI ITO, WAKE UP RIGHT NOW!!”

(Ah, damn, okay!)

Val screams in frustration. "DAMN IT, NORI!"

(Oh man, bye-)

Auretta sobs, falling onto her knees. “N…Nori…”

Nori's lifeless form grows colder, his skin softening as the blood starts to recede from his face.

Auretta hugs Nori’s body, trying to offer some warmth. “Please…Please don’t go…” she sobs quietly, holding him close to her.

Val sobs. "Nori, why?" She wraps her arms around him, trying her best to heal him, but failing.

Auretta sobs louder, the breeze around them getting harsher as she cries. It’s almost as if the winds are trying to comfort the crying girls, but failing.

Avrey has joined the chat.

Avrey slowly appears, a translucent blue form of his original self. "Hey, hey. It's gonna be okay." He says to the two, trying not to cry at the sight of Nori

Auretta lifts her head up. “H-How can you say so? H-He…He…” she chokes out, still holding Nori close to her.

Val bolts up, glaring at Avrey, tears running down her face. "How- how dare you say that? It's not okay! Nori… Nori's dead…"

Auretta nods, sobbing as she starts rocking herself and Nori’s body slightly. “H-He’s gone…holy shit, he’s gone…” she whimpers, finally breaking. She swears for the first time…ever.

Val looks at Auretta and wraps her in a tight hug.

Avrey sighs, holding his head in his hands. “You’re right. It’s… it’s not okay. I was wrong.” He sighs. “I do suppose I could bring him to you in spirit form, like this…” he raises his hands, then shakes his head. “No… it’s too soon. He hasn’t passed the tests. God… I’m sorry. There’s nothing I can do. You’ll just have to… go on without him for a little.”

Auretta hugs back, crying into Val’s shoulder. “H-He’s gone…He’s gone…He’s gone…” she repeats quietly, breaking inch by inch.

Val does her best to calm Auretta down. "Hey, hey… he'll come back… I did…" She's doing her best to convince herself of this as well.

Avrey sighs, disappearing from existence. He couldn’t bear to stay there any longer.
Nori only grows colder, becoming slightly stiff as his feathers ruffle in the wind

Auretta’s grey eyes are in a daze as she clings to Val, mumbling the same words as before. She feels broken, lost, and scared. She cries quietly, holding her deceased friend’s body close to her. “N-Nori…”

Val picks Auretta up gently, walking away. She launches into the air straight from the ground, an unnatural strength cratering the ground underneath her. "Come on, let's go."

Auretta leans her head against Val’s chest, going silent as tears stain her cheeks. She shuts her eyes gently, wanting some peace of mind.

(Lmao, I've been seing y'all on that, but I didn't know what it was!)

Eventually, Val reaches the forest her and Nori went to earlier, and lands.
