Danielle: The song turns from De'Tearion's to one of her own: a sad love ballad that she'd sung often with her dead love.
Sam: Watches both of them, silently wishing both of them well.
Danielle: The song turns from De'Tearion's to one of her own: a sad love ballad that she'd sung often with her dead love.
Sam: Watches both of them, silently wishing both of them well.
De Tearion: He doesn’t notice the change immediately, having been too caught up in the moment, but when he does, he recognizes it. He hadn’t heard it often, but he recalled one night where he stumbled upon a female he knew singing it. He had never expected Danielle to sing the same tune.
Danielle: She releases De'Tearion and slithers away, tears in her eyes as she continues humming the song.
Sam: Walks over to De'Tearion Are… are you okay, De'Tearion?
De Tearion: Watches Danielle mournfully, then turns to Sam. I suppose I will be. I get overwhelmed at times. Singing be one of the few ways I know to soothe myself and others, yet I was a child the last time I had others to sing with. After Mother died, Agatha was too afraid to sing, and I became the outcast.
Sam: That… she sighs that is sad. I wish to sing with you.
Danielle: Finishes the ballad and turns to Sam and De'Tearion. I- I am sorry for that.
Sam: Looks at Danielle strangely No need to apologize, Danielle.
De Tearion: Smiles at Sam appreciatively. He then turned to Danielle. Truly, no need. ‘Tis a beautiful song despite its sorrow.
Danielle: Smiles Yes, it truly is.
Sam: Grins We all good now?
De Tearion: Shrugs. I suppose. Looks at Danielle inquisitively.
Danielle: Shrugs, appearing to have forgotten what they were talking about.
Sam: Sighs Okay. Now, I would like to see you two duel each other.
De Tearion: Chuckles. Indeed. A final duel, then a nap. Snickers, standing.
Danielle: Laughs Yes, indeed.
Sam: SIts down in a tree, watching.
De Tearion: Smiles. He moves to stand in a clear spot, watching Danielle closely, his posture loose.

(Also, her snakey form is 7'9" long. Her humanoid form is 5'4" tall, with a 3' snake body from the waist down.)
Danielle: Moves to be six feet away from De'Tearion. Her form shifts to that of an inland taipan. She coils up, waiting.
Sam: Grins
(Ooh… I love the pic, and the measurements. Fuck, I’m obsessed with snakes, lmao!)
De Tearion: Looks at Danielle’s snake form thoughtfully. He listens to her heartbeat for a moment then meets her eyes calmly. He continues to stare, using the hypnotic effect of his eyes that could so easily lull victims to sleep.
Danielle: Gives a snakey grin as De'Tearion tries his magic. That won't work on one who is technically asleep already.
Sam: Chuckles "De'Tearion is in for the fight of his life."
De Tearion: Chuckles. I see. And I doubt taming you would be of use. Laughs. He then crouches, watching Danielle curiously and patiently.
Danielle: Chuckles Indeed, it would not be.
(This seems to be going well!)
(Yes, indeed it is!)
(Wee!)
De Tearion: Snickers. Then closes his eyes and inhales deeply. He could smell venom, blood, and even magic’s own faint hint upon Danielle. He loved the smell of sorcerers, but the venom was an intriguing addition.
Danielle: Senses De'Tearions distraction and strikes.
De Tearion: Though his eyes were closed and he was focused on smell, he was not distracted whatsoever. His hands shot up and snatched Danielle by the mouth and body. He opened his eyes. All of my senses are keen, and the heartbeat be music to my ears.
Danielle: Grins, then wraps around De'Tearion, slowly but surely crushing him.
De Tearion: Shallows his breathing, his second pair of arms stubbornly pushing of Danielle’s coils. Those arms then begin to gently but firmly unravel her. He knew he could simply scratch her and end the duel there, but he didn’t want to, nor was he one to back out of a fight.
Danielle: Grins and tightens her "grip" on De'Tearion. Suddenly, she chages tactics, releasing De'Tearion and sweeping him off his feet, striking down.
De Tearion: His arms start to unravel her more quickly, but he never panics. However, her change in tactics caught him off-caught and he chirped, calling out ‘Shit’ in Goliathan. He barely manages to catch Danielle, snorting at her. I am a fool for expecting that not. Brilliant move. He then rolled onto his side, pinning Danielle to the ground with all six of his limbs.
Danielle: Laughs You are quick, De'Tearion. Her form shifts, and she escapes De'Tearion's grasp, feinting at his arms but then heading for his legs.
De Tearion: Chirps in annoyance that she escaped and chases after her. However, he quickly realizes her feint and teleports, reappearing several feet away in a standing position. He cautiously watches Danielle.
Danielle: Back in her full size serpent form, she smiles. Good. Caution is wise.
De Tearion: Snorts. I am no stranger to battle. I am merely out of practice. Jumps into the trees, slowly moving to avoid disturbing any branches.
