Jonathan laughed a bit at her comment, and scratched the back of his head. He glanced at her, not registering that she was closer, and snickered again.

“ hey Jonathan.. Can I do something and you won't get pissy?” she asked, flustering a darker shade of red

Edgar hopped down from Jonathan’s shoulder, happy that he had calmed down. He started scooting around the computer mouse for a moment, chirped, then went to his cage to play with his toys.

Jonathan watched Edgar a moment, then looked back at Kera. He chuckled at her blush as he considered her question.

“I… guess. I don’t see any reason why I’d get pissy,”he replied, shrugging a bit and looking at her in confusion.

“ good.” she said simply. She placed her hand on his cheek before leaning in and kissing him.

Jonathan’s eyes widened in surprise and he was sure his cheeks were practically scalding now, but, for some reason he couldn’t fathom, he didn’t mind her kiss. In fact…

Jonathan kissed her back, tender and almost needy. His hand slowly rose to rest on her cheek.

Kera pulled away after a second, just watching Jonathan. Her cheeks were just as red as his and she finally looked away

When Kera pulled away, he stared at her blankly, his mind whirling as he simply tried to process what had happened. He then quickly looked away, scratching the back of his head.

Fuck, Keigo’s going to kill me. Hell, everybody is. But that kiss…

“I… um…”he trailed off, clearing his throat a bit.

He chewed on his lip. He had no idea what to do.

“ I'm sorry, I shouldn't have done that..” she lowered her head a bit. She knew that it wouldn't work out, hell, Amelia would kill her.

Jonathan glanced at her.

“No… it… it’s alright. Honestly… I, um… I enjoyed it,”he stammered, repeatedly glancing at her to see her reaction. He scratched the back of his head again.

What the fuck are ya doing, Jonathan? I don’t fucking know, but goddamnit, she’s so easy to talk to! Not even Boris is like this!

Kera smiled softly. “ thanks..” she said softly. Kera pulled him into another hug, nuzzling into the crook of his neck.

Jonathan noticed her smile and replied with one of his own. He then nodded slightly at her thanks.

When she pulled him into another hug, he didn’t object. He chuckled a little, gladly wrapping his arms around her and rubbing her back slightly, to soothe both of them.

Kera smiled at him rubbing her back, holding him a little tighter “ so.. What do we do now?” She asked softly

Jonathan noticed her tighter grip, smiling a little. He continued to rub her back.

“I have no fucking idea,”he replied just as softly, chuckling a bit.

“ what do you wanna do?” She said and looked up to him slightly from his shoulder

Jonathan glanced at her, chuckling. He then considered her question a moment, still lost.

“Hmm… don’t know, but I’m honestly content like this. Though, I may fall asleep, just fair warning,”he replied, snickering.

“ then I will fall over if you do I’m not that sturdy enough to lean on,” she joked. Kera’s snowy blue eyes seemed filled with happiness and the smile on her face showed it.

“Then I get to show you my paradise called the floor,”Jonathan quipped, laughing a bit.

He smiled at her expression, his tranquil amber eyes watching her.

Kera laughed, her sweater slipping down a bit to expose her team mark. Now that it was up close it was clear that hers was different from keigos. While he had a anchor behind his, kera had roses of different colors.

Jonathan grinned at her laugh.

He noticed the mark, but wasn’t sure if there was significance to the roses. He didn’t remember seeing Keigo’s mark, so he had no way to compare, and decided not to mention it.

Keigo got up, for some odd ass reason he felt like kera was up to no good again. He walked to her room and knocked on her door. “ kera!”

Kera jumped at hearing her name “ shit..” she said softly and gripped a little tighter to Jonathan. She watched the door with a look of fear, she really didn't want Jonathan hurt for her actions but she didn't wanna leave him either

Amelia stirred when Keigo got up, and she followed him out, wondering what was wrong. She noted that Kera’s door didn’t open, which likely meant she wasn’t in there. Where was she?

Jonathan heard the call and noticed Kera’s reaction. He rubbed her back to soothe her, wondering what to do.

“I could go talk to him, explain things a bit. Maybe it’ll help smooth things out,”Jonathan offered, his voice calm and even.

“ but I don't want you in trouble…” she said a little worried for everyone's reaction..
She leaned into him when he rubbed her back, it helping quite a but to calm her down.

Keigo mumbled something and went looking for kera outside. Course he'd gotten his jacket on.

Amelia watched Keigo leave and decided to check inside the ship. She first visited Bull, asking him if he’d seen Kera.

“No, but I heard a commotion earlier. Talk to Boris or Beta, one of them’s bound to know,”Bull replied.

Amelia nodded and headed for Boris.

Jonathan continued rubbing her back, chuckling a bit at her words.

“I lived with fucking Max all of my life. Keigo doesn’t scare me, even if he is a giant. Hell, Amelia scares me more than he does, but even then, she’s like a sister to me,”he said, his tone reassuring.

Kera nodded and sighed. She really didn't wanna let go of him. “ if you say so,” she said softly and let her arms fall for him to do what he needed to do.

Keigo looked for kera around town, he had also done some shopping for the crew for when they got ready to leave

Amelia visited Boris, asking him if he’d seen Kera.

“Earlier in the galley. She was hanging out with Beta-Man and had a bad migraine. I gave her some Aspirin for it and she left, likely to lay down. Though, Beta-Man did mention something about them having grown up as kids together. I don’t know,”Boris answered.

Amelia nodded, but shook her head in confusion.

“What? They were kids together?”

“That’s what Beta-Man said. And, they did seem a lot more friendly around each other.”

Amelia stared at Boris a moment, then nodded and left to interrogate Jonathan.

Jonathan looked at Kera and held her shoulders. He smiled lightly, his eyes patient and gentle.

“I’ll be alright. These folks are like family to me, and they trust me implicitly. Keigo’s the oddball, but Amelia is very persuasive,”he reassured her.

Jonathan held her a bit longer, then stood. He moved to open the door, his eyes widening in mild surprise when he saw Amelia, hand raised to knock on the door. Her eyes locked on Kera.

“What the fuck is going on?”she asked sternly.

Kera flinched a bit and looked directly to the ground. She didn't want to upset Amelia more than she already was. Kera could hear it in her voice that she was more than likely pissed.

Keigo came in and looked for Amelia, finally finding her at Jonathan's door.

Jonathan sighed, leaning against the door a bit.

“First off, please don’t fucking overreact. I’m in a pretty good mood, and I don’t want that to get ruined. Anyways, long story short, me and Kera grew up together as kids, her dad taught us both hacking, and Max was an even bigger jackass than I already knew.

“Also, after we split ways, her dad, my parents, and just the whole fucking crew, vanished. And, by the way, my mother was the pirate commonly known as Captain Esmeralda May.”

Jonathan sighed again.

“There’s a shit ton more, but I figured I’d give the basics first,”he added.

Amelia stared at Jonathan, looking between him and Kera in confusion. She then looked back at Jonathan.

“So, she’s not pulling any of her shit with you? If she’s manipulating you, drop her ass right now,”Amelia said.

Jonathan shook his head.

“No. It’s the honest fucking truth. Trust me, I’m still trying to wrap my head around it, but I remember Kera. I didn’t make the connection because I hadn’t seen her in, like, eleven years, but I fucking knew her,”he replied.
