(It is one of my top favorite god forsaken animals. Like, why would it need a venom so deadly, anyways? But yeah, reptiles are definitely cool.)

Sam: Looks at De'Tearion, curious. It appears my toxins are more effective on Goliathan. Interesting. She jumps over the bolt, chuckling. She reaches out and grabs De'Tearion with all 6 of her arms, tossing him in the air, shooting a web after him. You surprised me once, De'Tearion. Never again.

Danielle: Delighted, she starts clapping. Darling, you've gotten much better!

@Serpentess health_and_safety language

(Evil grin and thumbs-up)

De Tearion: Shrugs. I know not, yet I know that those of weaker mind than me would have collapsed in agony by now. He chirps when he’s grabbed and thrown, then teleports back to the ground, flopping onto his ass and watching the web wrap around some of the tree branches above him. He chuckles. And you will capture me not in that web again.

Sam: Laughs Ah, third time truly is the charm. And not everyone reacts so quickly. As a matter of fact, nobody has ever reacted that quickly. Which is why I've reached the conclusion that Goliathan are far more susceptible to my races toxins than most.

Danielle: Smirks Might I duel with De'Tearion, or have you drugged him senseless?

(Logging off for now, and if you've written a response by the time I've posted this, sorry!)

@Serpentess health_and_safety language

De Tearion: Sighs. I suppose. He lifts his curled hand, chuckling at the sight of his black blood sliding down his arm. With his other hand, he gently pries his claws out of his arm and slowly uncurls them, wincing a bit. And first blood. I must say I envy your defenses. Most of my own require vigilance and magic. He glances at Danielle. I still have my senses, yet I am at a noticeable disadvantage currently, and I know less about you than I know of Sam.

Sam: Bows and grins, her form shifting back to that of a humanoid woman. And I envy you and your magic. I must say, I don't have very much of it. Only enough to change mine form and whatnot.

Danielle: Quickly, before Sam shifts back to human, she touches Sam's leg, the hairs coming off and the toxins on them going into her blood. She grins at both De'Tearion and Sam. Now, we wait, and I shall be at a similar disadvantage.

Sam: Sighs You have not changed a bit, I see.

@Serpentess health_and_safety language

De Tearion: Most of the magic I know be defensive, and the offensive spells I know are often lethal. Yet, Goliathans also have natural magic, such as our morphing abilities. He watches Danielle, raising an eyebrow at her. Why have you done such? He seems a bit concerned.

Deleted user

Sam: Ah, that would do it, then.

Danielle: Snorts Why shouldn't I put myself at a similar disadvantage to you?

Sam: Sighs I learned long ago not to question her, De'Tearion. I suggest you accept the fact that she's insane and move on from there.

Deleted user

Sam: Sighs and takes away the toxins in De'Tearion's system. There you go… I can at least do that.

Danielle: Confused

@Serpentess health_and_safety language

De Tearion: Sighs and lies on his back, seeming suddenly exhausted, his ‘wounded’ hand visibly shaking. From his body language, it’s clear that he had been extremely tense before Sam removed the toxins. Black tears stream from his eyes, both from greif and as a reaction to the sudden disappearance of agony. Mercy have me.

@Serpentess health_and_safety language

De Tearion: Shakes his head. You have done no wrong. Truly, I enjoyed our duel. ‘Tis merely memories that haunt me. I also now remember how much pain I could truly tolerate. I would collapse from blood loss before the pain stopped me.

Sam: Sighs Ah…

Danielle: Slithers over and runs a finger across De'Tearion's injured arm. It heals as she does so. Is that okay?

Sam: Sighs again

@Serpentess health_and_safety language

De Tearion: Flinches when Danielle touches him, though not because of his hand. He quickly composes himself, flexing his claws then morphing it into a hand. He also morphs his other hand, using it to wipe off his face. Thank you both.

Sam: Bows

Danielle: Nods, then turns, her eyes widening. Wait- no, you are dead, love. I watched it… She looks sad, and a little scared.

Sam: Looks surprised, but doesn't comment.

Deleted user

Sam: Looks at De'Tearion with some amusement. She'll not allow it, I'm afraid.

Danielle: Looks at another hallucination And you… I made sure you would never come back. How is it then, that you are back?

Deleted user

Sam: Sighs It is… She thinks for a moment complicated, and not my story to tell.

Danielle: Is looking all about her, remorse, fear, joy, sadness, regret, and anger all evident in her eyes and in her voice as she asks each a question.

@Serpentess health_and_safety language

De Tearion: Sighs. I see. He then maneuvers to his knees and tries to stand. He collapses on the first try and sighs, taking a moment to focus himself despite his fatigue. He then tries again and shakily climbs to his feet. He walks over to a nearby tree and slides down the trunk, clearly drowsy but forcing himself to stay awake.

Deleted user

Sam: Goes to catch De'Tearion, but he gets himself up. Why don't you sleep?

Danielle: Has finally stopped asking questions, looking at one hallucination in particular in silence, her hand over her mouth, a shocked look in her eyes, tears streaming down her face.

Deleted user

Sam: Sighs Very well.

Danielle: Collapses to her knees, heartbreak evident on her face.

Sam: Realizes that this must be an actual ghost of Danielle's love and sprints over, her natural ability to see spirits kicking in. Why? Why now, after all this time? The ghost seems to speak, because Sam shakes her head. No. You are dead, remember? It wouldn't work, not after all this time. You left her alone in the world. Accept that she let you go a long time ago. The spirit seems to understand, because the next thing Sam does is wrap Danielle in a hug.

Danielle: Watches the entire situation, then hugs Sam back, sobbing.

@Serpentess health_and_safety language

De Tearion: Watches all of it silently. He then looks away, cradling his amulet. He closes his eyes, remembering one of the many songs Agatha loved to hear. He started to hum and chirp, at first softly then louder, until the others could hear. There was no direct translation of this particular song, but it spoke of wandering through a forest paradise. It had been a favorite of both De Tearion and Agatha.

Deleted user

Sam: Listens carefully, silently singing along.

Danielle: Looks up and starts singing along, her voice echoing slightly. She only knew the song because of her one love.

@Serpentess health_and_safety language

De Tearion: Pauses when he notices the two other voices singing. He gasped, a few tears streaking his face. He could barely remember the last time he had heard such collective singing, and it was beautiful. He laughed softly, more tears appearing. Last time I heard this sung by three voices I had been a child. I was singing it with Agatha and our mother. That be one of the clearest memories I have of Mother. Laughs a bit more, then resumes singing.

Deleted user

Sam: Pauses, the resumes.

Danielle: Walks over to De'Tearion and wraps him in a hug, still singing along with him.
