Auretta soon joins them in the air, gasping in wonder. “Whoa…”

"You know, I heard that Nori. Maybe… watch your language around the littles?" she snorts, rolling her eyes. "And besides, aerodynamics didn't exist before and you got along just fine without them. As in, you could lift off straight from the ground as well, in previous lives."

Nori rolls his eyes again. "Auretta isn't little. And…" He can't think of a good comeback this time. "Fine."

Auretta looks between them. “I’ve heard worse, to be honest,” she shrugs. “Also, you could?! That’s so cool!” she beams, smiling.

Valerie grins, knowing she'd won. "Exactly. Now, I need to work on both of your flight capabilities. I already know Auretta can do it. But you, Nori… it'll take time."

Nori grumbles, muttering a long, ugly line of profanities as he lands on the ground. "doing your mom… takes… time." He says uncreatively.

Valerie snorts. "Well, it would, since you'd have to find her in the first place."

Nori folds his arms. "well then… ask her about… last night…" He says timidly. "aw shit, why am I so bad at this now??"

"Because it's me that you're trying to insult?" she suggests, laughing.

Auretta sighs. “Wow…” she rolls her eyes. “Again, I’ve heard worse…which is actually really sad-“

Nori groans as his wings go limp. "no, no I can insult anyone!! I can…" he sighs. "yeah. nope. yeah you're right."

"Exactly. Now, you want to get on with this?" she says, her laughs subsiding to giggles.

Nori smirks. "that's what she said."

"Oh, if you really want to be like that-" Val laughs, then tackles Nori.

Auretta laughs. “Oh my god-“

Val grins and looks behind her to Auretta, pinning Nori to the ground. "What?"

“You dorks-“ Auretta giggles, smiling a bit.

Nori laughs, rolling over and trying to pin her. “Get used to it then!”

Val laughs and rolls away from Nori, then launches back towards him, knocking him back down and finding herself right over him. "Yeah, get used to it."

Nori smirks. “Oh I could.” He laughs and tries to escape, giggling.

Auretta bursts out laughing, holding her sides. “Oh my gosh-“

Val blushes slightly, but keeps ahold of Nori, looking down at him. "Oh, I know. So could I."

Nori turns red, then tried harder to get away, no longer laughing. “Okay, okay I think that’s- I think that’s enough of that”

Val flips off of nori, dragging him up with her. "Sorry."

Auretta looks between them. “Everything okay?” she asks, worried.

"Yeah. Everythings alright." Val says, glancing at Auretta.

Nori crosses his arms, visibly uncomfortable. “Yeah. Everything’s good.” He sighs.

Val realizes that instead of being over top of Nori, she's now pressed right up against him and steps back, quickly. "Uh- sorry." She feels very, very uncomfortable herself now.

Auretta blinks a couple of times. “If you say so-“

Nori steps back quickly, blowing some hair out of his face. He clears his throat, sighing.
