Corbin stirred a bit when Cyrus gripped him tighter, whining softly for a few seconds before he drowsily opened his eyes and looked up at him. He glanced at Cyrus' phone, but couldn't read the words on the screen. "Mmmnhh… something wrong…?" He asked, his voice groggy from sleep.
“ n..no “ he said getting up and leaving his phone. He needed air, going outside and into the cold. Tears were streaming down his face. His father was mean.. but he would kill his own wife.. would he?
Corbin seemed confused and picked up Cyrus' phone, glancing at the screen. He went pale and slipped out of bed as well, pulling on a coat as he followed Cyrus outside. "Cy? Where did you go?" He called out.
“ I’m over here..” he called with a shaky voice. “ you shouldn’t be out here, it’s cold.” He said softly to Corbin and tried to wipe his eyes.
Corbin headed over to Cyrus' side, shivering as his breath clouded in front of him. "Cy… p-please come back inside. I'm sure that article is just making stuff up for publicity, right? It's cold out here… just come back in and we can talk there." A chill ran down his spine and his wings puffed up as he sneezed.
Cyrus’s cold blue eyes watched Corbin, “ I honestly can say I don’t believe them.. I need prove that he wouldn’t. “ he said and picked Corbin up, heading inside.
Corbin nestled into Cyrus' warmth, shivering in his arms. "Your dad sucks, but I don't think he's a murderer… he's the super strict rule following type, right? Murder is a pretty big rule to break."
“ they bark before the bite. They’ll hit near you before they strike you. It progressively gets worse.. “ he mumbled, resighting his mothers words.
Corbin sighed softly. "I dunno… I-I don't think we should just believe some article on the internet. If you really wanna know for sure, you'll have to do some digging yourself. Who uploaded the video they found, anyway?"
“ someone from the crowd of my testing…” he mumbled
"Well… there wasn't a whole lot of people there that I remember." Corbin shrugged.
Cyrus took a shaky breath, nuzzling into Corbin’s neck
"I'm sure we'll figure this out tomorrow, yeah? You should get some rest." Corbin yawned.
Cyrus nodded and took them both to bed, laying back down and putting his phone far from him.
Corbin got comfortable with Cyrus again and sighed softly, soon relaxing and falling back asleep.
Cyrus fell into an uneasy sleep, his mind constantly go8ng over images of his mom falling, her not flipping back over to land.
Corbin was still asleep in the morning when Cyrus awoke, looking very soft and peaceful in the gentle beams of sunlight streaming through the curtains.
Cyrus smiled to himself, his silverish blue hair falling down his face
Corbin yawned and trilled softly, smiling gently in his sleep as he nuzzled closer to Cyrus.
Cyrus kissed his forehead and yawned
Eventually, Corbin stirred a bit and opened his eyes.
Cyrus had his wings around the two, trying to dose back off
Corbin, noticing that Cyrus was trying to sleep, kept quiet for the time being and closed his eyes.
Cyrus jolted from his sleep again, his eyes pricking with tears. He took a shaky breath. He looked to see if Corbin was up yet, as the other was laying on his arm and he couldn’t move.
Corbin, who had been nodding off again, looked up when Cyrus was distressed. "Mmnh… Cy…? You okay?" He asked softly, moving a bit to give Cyrus more space.
“ yeah..” he said softly.
"You sure? You don't look good…" Corbin yawned and gently kissed Cyrus' cheek.
Cyrus flinched a bit when Corbin kissed his cheek, “ yeah., I’m sure..” he mumbled softly
Corbin noticed and pulled away, looking concerned. "Did… did I do something?" He asked softly.
Cyrus seemed to come back to his reality “ what? No! No.. you didn’t do anything wrong, I.. I just had a nightmare “
