Valerie: Circling, starts descending slowly, looking for a specific place; eventually, she spots it and lands there, looking at the now crystallized shield and armor These are yours, Nori… a piece of the past…

Nori: Lands slowly, tucking in his wings. No… How could it…? But another flash of memory and he simply couldn't doubt any longer. Yeah. I, I remember those

Valerie: Picks up the helmet, examines it; another flash of memory, this helmet, laying on the ground, forgotten; a crumpled form not far away Oh- oh gods… Nori… I- I-…

Nori: suddenly nervous, getting almost the same feeling of dread. w-what is it? what happened?

Valerie: Wordlessly turns the helmet I- I think I know how I used to know you- I- I'm not sure, but I think we were both angels in the Legion of Light… I think you died…

Nori: …..what??

Valerie: Takes a deep breath F- from what I'm piecing together from the memories, it seems like you and me were angels. And we were in a war… you died… and I was upset… I hid your armor for when you were reincarnated, and waited… eventually, I lost hope… and I think I fell down from heaven… and I'm human now… like you…

Nori: shaking his head. N-no. Im just some normal kid, well normal is the wrong word… But I cant… that doesn't… how? I-I starts backing up, panicking

Valerie: Panicking herself You think this makes any more sense to me? I'm just as confused and stunned and in denial about it as you are. But we have physical proof of it. My swords, my rings, your shield, your armor… what more do we need?

Nori: getting more nervous. That's not proof!! these are just.. this is garbage!! This doesn't mean anything!!

Valerie: Sighing, she walks up and taps her own and Nori's head, not knowing what she's doing; suddenly, the full force of her memories hits her, and she physically staggers, clutching her head Gods damn it! That was unexpected…

Nori: curls into a ball, breathing quickly. W-what? I can… oh my god…

Valerie: Stunned, she gasps out the words: Now do you get it? This isn't fake, or a cosmic joke… this is real… these swords? She unsheathes them both, and runs them both across her forearm, each blade barely touching the skin and cutting her Real as you and me. This shield? She picks it up, holding it in one hand Real. Don't you get it, Nori? This is who we are. This is what we are meant to be.

Nori: no!! No! I’m just some antisocial Asian kid!! I’m not a… the memories convince him otherwise, fear rolling down his face. it’s true. It’s all true. It is

Valerie: Stunned, she collapses to her knees Oh my gods… It finally fully computes with her, and she just sits there silent

Nori: rocks back and forth, muttering to himself as all the memories flood his head.

Valerie: Hears his muttering, she staggers upright, planning to do something that could quite possibly kill her; sighing, she places her hands on either side of Nori's head and, with some considerable effort, draws the memories of his past lives into herself; she collapses afterwards, unconscious

Nori: sits up quickly, shaking. Val!! No!!! He runs to her side, trying to get her up. Oh my god…

Valerie: Wakes a little, smiles a little sadly Y- you were hurting… I- I'm not dying, I don't think… but, I needed to save you from the memories…

Nori: tearing up. you didn't have to do that. he hugs his friend. Don't do that again.

Valerie: Laughs slightly, shakily gets up Hey, on the plus side, at least I know exactly where we knew each other.

Nori: rubbing her back, helping her get up. How?

Valerie: Sighs The gist of it is, we were in a war together in a previous life, and were close friends… and we retained a sense of familiarity into this one.

Nori: looks down… I guess, that feels right. Yeah.

Valerie: Grabs the armor and shield Anyways… let's go. It's cold up here. Shivers, then takes off once more

Nori: takes the two, flying off after her

Valerie: Stoping after a few minutes after she falls a foot or two a couple of times; as soon as her feet touched the ground, she's asleep, snoring softly

Nori: follows, pulling his wings in as he glided to the ground. He watches as Val falls asleep, then find a rock to sit on, keeping watch until he too falls asleep in the cool grass

Valerie: Rises with the sun the next morning, shaking Nori awake to watch it with her; her form is positively radiant in the morning light

Nori: yawns, barely awake as the sunlight pierced his eyes. He looks at Val, amazed by the light she gives off.
