Amelia smiled softly and slipped under the blankets with him, snuggling up against him. She rubbed his back, losing herself in his eyes.

Keigo smiled, kissing her head. He put his hand on her cheek and whispered softly “ love you, so much.”

Amelia smiled, putting her hand on top of his, her fingers tenderly wrapping around his.

“And I love you so much,”she breathed.

She lifted his hand, gently kissing it, then curled both of their hands under her chin. She closed her eyes, contented.

Keigo scooted a bit closer to her and yawned, kissing her head once more and eventually started snoring softly. He was defiantly tired.

Amelia yawned after him, chuckling. She then listened to his snores for a moment, falling asleep.

Keigo woke up in the night, covered in cold sweat. Hed had a pretty bad nightmare. All he could remember his ex, the loud shot of maxims gun and the pain shooting through his abdomen. He didn't know why but he had just started crying. Though he tried to keep silent for Amelia's sake.

The sense that something was wrong nagged at her and Amelia woke. She felt the sweat covering Keigo and heard his soft crying.

“Keigo? Love? Are you alright?”she asked worriedly.

She squeezed his hand, then nuzzled it, waiting for his answer.

At first, Keigo seemed to jump when Amelia talked, startled by the fact that she was awake. “ y..yeah… Yeah, I'm fine..” he said shakily. He tried to wipe away his tears with his free hand. After drying his face he put his arm back underneath Amelia's head and tried some deep breaths to calm down.

When Keigo jumped, Amelia immediately moved her hand to cradle his cheek. His shaky voice reminded her of when she had had a nightmare. Was that what this was? His own nightmare?

She held his returned hand with her free hand, gently squeezing it. Her thumb gently rubbed his cheek.

“Are you sure? Was it a nightmare?”she asked, her voice becoming quiet with her second question.

Keigo took another deep breath but ended up nodding his head “ it's nothing to fuss over, they happen quite a bit, just not that bad..”

“Oh, my dear Keigo. I know the feeling,”she breathed.

She shifted a bit, getting closer to him, kissing his forehead then nuzzling it. Her hand petted his hair.

Keigo snuggled up to Amelia, embracing her calming touch. He was glad for once that he could snuggle her so effortlessly.

Amelia continued to hold him and pet his hair. She periodically kissed his forehead again, whispering comforting words.

Keigo eventually calmed down the rest of the way, near going back to sleep. Hed curled up around Amelia and kept her close. Keigo let out a soft yawn.

Amelia yawned after he did, giggling a bit. She then nuzzled his forehead, settling like that. Her hand still gently petted his hair.

The entire time, she let him move her body as he needed. She didn’t mind, and actually savored it. His embrace soothed her as much as it did him. And the warmth of his body was something she absolutely adored.

“ thank you.” Keigo said softly. He rubbed her back a bit before drifting back asleep. Keigo didn't stir again until the morning.

“Anything for you, love,”Amelia cooed.

She continued petting his hair until he fell asleep, then cradled the back of his head. A couple minutes later and she dozed off.

Keigo had gotten up early and gotten dressed, changed his bandages, and went out onto the deck. He checked for any damage on and outside the ship with the sensors. After finding none he decided to go get some coffee and a bowl of cereal.

Amelia stirred a little bit when Keigo got up, but otherwise remained asleep.

Jonathan was already in the galley, sipping at his thermos of coffee and scrutinizing something on the pad he had in front of him. His parrot was perched on his shoulder, watching the screen.

Jonathan looked up as Keigo entered and saluted him with his thermos.

“Another early bird? Don’t mind the pun. Oh, and last night, Bull was talking about some guy he had met yesterday and mentioned his name. And, apparently this little guy liked the name, so… meet Edgar,”Jonathan said, snickering.

“Edgar!”his parrot called happily, bobbing up and down.

Edgar then hopped onto Jonathan’s head and whistled at Keigo. “Hello.”

“He also likes sitting on my head. Fucking hysterical,”Jonathan added, laughing.

Keigo laughed a bit, drinking his coffee.

Toaci came flying in and play tackled Edgar “ warrr!”

Edgar squawked in surprise, then managed to escape before turning around and play tackling Toaci.

“War!”Edgar happily replied.

Jonathan laughed,”These two!”

He took a sip of coffee, watching the birds, then looked at Keigo.

“Now, I’m waiting for Bull to walk in,”he said with a snicker.

As if by command, Bull walked into the galley.

“Hey… ah fuck.”

Toaci sat up straight and stared at bull. “ war!” he said and started looking for a cup

Keigo started laughing, now all he needed was Amelia to wake up and this would be a good day.

“War!”Edgar cried in reply, watching Toaci and searching as well.

“Well, hi and bye. I haven’t written my ass’s will yet,”Bull said, quickly leaving.

Jonathan laughed.

Amelia stirred and stretched, yawning. She vaguely remembered Keigo getting up, so she figured she might as well too.

Keigo chuckled and handed toaci a little plastic cup. “ go get his ass guys,”

Edgar chirped excitedly, waiting for Toaci to lead.

Boris came in then, noting the two birds.

“Hello. War!”Edgar cawed, poofing up dramatically before starting a little dance.

“Bull’s ass is toast,”Boris snickered.

Jonathan laughed again.

Amelia finished getting dressed and headed out to see if Keigo was in the galley. She noticed Bull quickly disappear into his room and snickered.

Keigo watched as the two birds left, he chuckled a bit and leaned up against the wall. His pain had suddenly returned but he was trying his hardest to not show it.

Toaci pecked at the door and called to bull “ open! Surprise!” he called

“Open! Open!”Edgar called next to Toaci.

Amelia saw them and chuckled, then snuck up to the door and cracked it open. She then quickly snuck away as Bull cried out.

Amelia entered the galley, giggling. Jonathan waved, laughing.

“You doomed Bull, didn’t you?”Boris asked.

“Yes I did,”Amelia replied, laughing.

Boris burst into laughter as well.

Amelia then went up to Keigo and greeted him with a kiss on the cheek.

“How are you this morning, love?”she asked warmly.

“ good, you?” he said with a slightly strained voice, he pulled her close and smiled. Now he had everything he needed, black coffee, Amelia, and the birds going fucking nuts. Other than the pain in his abdomen, This was a great day

“Good,”she replied, smiling.

She noted his strained tone and understood that he was in pain. When he pulled her close, she giggled and gently wrapped an arm around him, being mindful of his abdomen, hugging him just because she could.

Keigo nuzzled her, not giving two shits who was around to see “ love you,” he whispered to her.
