Jas paused for a moment and glanced down at Connor, breath clouding in front of him as he leaned into Connor's hands. He covered then with his own, hoping to offer some sort of warmth. "You have no idea how relieved I am. I was worried Suni or Sasha might've scared you. He hugged a small laugh and pressed gentle kisses to Connor's fingertips. "Thank you, for being so willing to meet them. I know our whole relationship hasn't been easy." He gave a soft smoke before noddeding and following Connor back to his place. "It got cold so suddenly. Now I'm excited to go to Florida, if only to void the freezing cold here for a few days."
"It's not that they scared me they just overwhelmed me a little. I expected them to be more distant you know and they weren't which I was happy about, but they just caught me off guard is all." He smiled from the kissed and shook his head. "I know our relationship has been kind of hard, but I think in the future, we'll be just fine." Connor nodded and shivered. "I'm excited to go to Florida too. Mostly because it's probably going to be a lot more fun over there." He added.
"I probably should have warned you about that before we actually got there." Jas glanced away for a moment, mind racing with memories of their "relationship" over the past lives. If he were being honest with himself, Jas had somehow convinced himself that Connor liked him on any level, just because he was the only other immortal he had met and interacted with. With that mentality, jas had instilled himself, albeit very slowly by Connor's side, whether as his enemy or as a virtual wall for Connor to throw his emotional punches at. He had desperately wanted Connor's love that any physical or emotional was worth it in the end. In a way he had been morbidly right. He wasn't sure if he would be willing to do it all again but he knew what they had now had been worth those lives of torture. He sucked in a heavy breath and focused back on Connor, an adoring smile crossing his features. He gently tugged Connor close to his side and pressed a kiss to his head. "It'll be very fun, especially after this little mission if yours." He agreed, pulling open the doors to the building.
He pressed the elevator button and walked in. "What would be fun, hm? You're not going anywhere. You're staying at the hotel and being a good little kitty while I'm out doing all the hard work. Maybe the pool, the beach, and maybe a few drinks here and there." Connor tugged Jas into the elevator with him before the door closed. "So, tell what exactly would be fun for you hm?" Connor loosely wrapped his hands around Jas' next, pulling his body closer to him. "Unless there's something you want to tell me."
Jas followed Connor in with a lazy grin. He let out a deep purr at being tugged closer and lightly pressed their heads together. "Darling," he cooed softly, hands traveling to Connor's waist. "I am a grown cat. I can take care of myself. As for staying at the hotel, I promised you I'd be good, did I not? I won't get you or your little organization in trouble. But I do plan on enjoying our time in florida. After all, how long has it been since we had a proper action, hm?" He tilted his head innocently and pressed a sweet kiss to Connor's brow. "I admit, I'm nervous about this whole mission thing. But I know you can handle yourself very well. And I trust you enough to come home to me safe and in one piece." He sighed softly and nuzzled Connor's brow.
"Don't look at me all innocent and sweet like that…" Connor held his hand on Jas's cheek, tracing his jawline. "I guess I have nothing to worry about. You don't have to worry either. I wouldn't dream of dying and leaving you behind. I know I'll just come back in the next life, but I wonder how long it would take me to find you. I don't want to think about that. I will come back and we can sleep soundly and take in the clean Florida air." Connor gave Jas a small kiss, pressing their heads together again. "I will always come home to you, from now on till forever."
Jas melted into Connor’s hand, his purr lightening into something softer. "Please, don't say that. This is the first life i genuinely and freely get to live you. I don't want that to end so soon." He begged, instinctively hugging Connor closer to his form. He hugged a small laugh and nodded. "That would be very nice." He looked down at his liver and nodded slightly. "I will too, my precious bird.im your kitty, from now, until forever." He promised, brushing a soft kiss to Connor's lips before the elevator doors opened up to Connor's floor
"I wouldn't have it any other way…" he whispered returning the kiss. Connor looked over when the door opened to see two people with their mouths open wide. He cleared his throat, pulling away from Jas, but his hand still held Jas's. Connor walked past them, tugging Jas along with him. "Well, that was a little awkward. Sometimes I forget other people live here." he laughed before opening up the door to his room. "Don't fall asleep yet, kitty cat; we have some packing to do. We'll be there for a week, but I need to pack twice as much as you do."
Jas broke away when he realized people were watching and quickly followed Connor back to his room. He gave a soft whine but knew Connor was right. The sooner they'd pack, the sooner they'd be able to sleep. He pressed one last kiss to Connor's cheek before heading off to find his duffle bag he had brought with him to stay over Connor's home. "I might have to go back to my place to grab some thing before we leave." He called, only finding two sets of clothes not including his pjs. "Why do you need to pack so much?" He asked, luffing his duffle bag out of the closet and setting it off to the side to pick up in the morning.
Connor took out three suits and one red cocktail dress. "I forgot to tell you, but this is an undercover mission, darling. I have to bring clothes that I would wear to a bar or a casino. He folded the clothes neatly in a suitcase he had pulled out before they left. "Depending on what it is, I might have to be a girl or a guy. Who knows?" He took out some other clothes for sleeping and the pool and regular site-seeing if needed. He closed one suitcase and took out another. "If you need to go to your place for a second, that's all right with me. Not that you would need to ask permission."
Jas tilted his head curiously at seeing the dress and dropped his head onto Connor's shoulder. He gave a slight smirk and gently nuzzled the tender area behind Connor's ear. "I wouldn't mind seeing you in dress." He teased, gently pulling away and shouldering his duffle bag. "Then I'll be back in a half an hour or so." He promised, disappearing in a matter of seconds. He reappearing in his home and did a quick sweep around to make sure everything was safe. With a reluctant sigh, Jas went to him room and started taking a week's worth of clothes into his bag. He debated on whether to take his typical all black outfit he usually used on his own 'missions'. He shoved it into the bottom of his bag, hoping he wouldn't find the urge to use it later. He packed a few more personal items and sighed, genuinely excited to go to Florida, even if it was for one if Connor's mystery missions.
He paused for a second and scoffed. "He's such a tease." He took a couple more outfits that he may need before putting his two suitcases aside. He flopped on the bed and waited for Jas to get back. However, he much too slept and was half asleep, with the clothes he wore for the day and his shoes. He dug his face in the pillow, letting his body sink into the bed. He thought about showering, but the bedsheets were much too comfortable to try and get up.
Jas came back a few minutes and peeked around the now sudden quiet home. "Connor?" He looked around a bit more until he made it to the bedroom. He huffed a small laugh when he found Connor already asleep and set his duffle bag down. He settled in the edge of the bed and gently brushed aside Connor's hair from his features, lightly tracing the bridge if his nose or the gentle curve of his lips. "Beautiful creature." He cooed softly, pressing a kiss to Connor's head before standing and heading to the bathroom with his pjs to shower.
A few minutes after his mini nap he woke up and realized Jas still wasn't with him. He stood up from the best rubbing his eyes. He walked into the bathroom half asleep and started to undress. He only got to the point of taking off his shirt before he went to turn on the shower. The shower door was glass so he had a full view of Jas. He stood there for a moment trying to process the details before rubbing his eyes again, only to realize it was Jas showering. "Oh my god!" He yelled. Connor turned around stumbling out of the bathroom. "Sorry! I didn't know you were home yet. I didn't see you!"
Jas was nearly done with his shower when he saw the door open and Connir walk in. He grinned and arched an eyebrow, trying his best to cover himself the best he could. Has gave a small laugh and watched Connor as he stared, then immediately leave the room while apologizing. "You're more than welcome to join my love, plenty of room." He called, rising off his hair and his cat ears. Once he finished with his shower, Jas dried off and pulled in his PJs before walking out into the bedroom. "Sorry for the scare, dear. I came back when you had fallen asleep and didn't want to wake you." He explained, shifting into a cat as he climbed into bed and rubbed against Connor's exosed side, purring softly
Connor shook his head, looking down at his hands as Jas walked out. He was clearly embarrassed, sitting on the bed half-naked. "I-It's not your fault, I should've been more aware." He tried to get the image out of his mind, but couldn't seem to. It was stuck in his brain like a tattoo. He watched Jas wrap around his side. He shivered as his back straightened to a slight arch. "Watch where that tail is going mister." Connor lifted Jas up and leaned back on the bed. "I'm going to go shower kitty." He kissed Jas's nose before standing up and entering the bathroom. This time he properly took a shower and took his sweet time doing so.
Jas' purr only deepened as he wound his way around Connor's side. He glanced up at Connor innocently, as if saying I don't know what you mean. He mewled as he was picked up and gently nudged his muzzle again Connor's face. He meowed in protest as he was set down but reluctantly settled down in a heap of blankets and pillows. He wrapped his tail around himself, covering his muzzle for warmth. He didn't sleep yet, wanting to wait for Connor, so he toyed with a loose strand of blanket
Once he was done showering, Connor came out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around his waist. "You should pick what you're going to wear for tomorrow, so we aren't late. I hate being late. Then I have to rush, and this other stuff comes into play. It's just a lot." He laughed while looking through his drawer for clothes. He felt his hair drip, and he sighed. He went into the bathroom to get another towel and came out drying his hair. "That's weird. We're my-" He found his favorite shirt to wear to bed and smiled. "There it is!"
Jas picked his head up with a wide yawn and uncurled himself from his comfortable spot in the bed. He stretched out gracefully before heading over to his duffle bag and hopping in. He dug through his clothes for a bit, searching for a his most comfortable clothes since that'd be one of their longer, more boring days when going to Florida. He yanked at a loose fitting t-shirt and some comfy pants, setting them on top of the bag to pick up later in the morning. He jumped back up into the bed and tucked his paws beneath this body, converting himself into a little cat loaf as he waited for Connor. He meowed appreciatively as he watched Connor move around the room.
Connor threw on the shirt and underwear and left it at that. He quickly picked out pants and a hoodie to wear tomorrow. "Sorry for the wait let's go to sleep now." He made his way under the covers and turned off the lights. He picked up Jas put him near his side. "I know you're tired. I set an alarm for tomorrow." Connor dug himself under the sheets hugging one of the pillows as he yawned and started to drift off to sleep. "Good night Jas."
Jas meowed softly as he gently nuzzled Connor's cheek. He shimmied his way out from from Connor's hold and shifted back to normal. He smiled softly and gently brushed a kiss to Connor's brow. "You're always worth the wait." He murmured, gently prying the pillow away from Connor. Shifting beneath the sheets, jas gently scooped Connor up and set him down onto of his chest, tucking him safely beneath his chin. "There," he murmured, covering them both in the warm blankets. "I'm a much better pillow, no?" He teased, lightly running his hand along Connor's back in a soothing motion. "Good night, sweetheart. May you have the best of dreams."
Connor happily hugged Jas as he slept. You are a much better pillow… With the warmth he was feeling from jas, he fell asleep. However, that sleep was disturbed by the alarm in the morning. He opened his eyes, but it wasn't as sweet as all of the other morning. He slowly pushed himself up lazily slapping the alarm so it would stop ringing. He groaned, rubbing his eyes and reluctantly getting out of bed. He started to change his clothes not even bothering to check if Jas was awake or not. He pulled off his shirt and started to put on his pants. "Jas…" he mumbled. "I hope you're awake." He yawned.
Jas slowly awoke at the sound of the blaring alarm beside their bed. He groaned softly and almost debated going back to sleep but ultimately sat up once Connor had gotten up. "I'm up darling, I'm up. Though I really wish I weren't." He huffed, rubbing at his eyes and shifting out of bed. "Remind me to never get up this early again." He mumbled, pressing a kiss to Connor's cheek before grabbing the clothes he had left out last night and heading to the bathroom to change. Once he had changed and pretty much done nothing with his hair, Jas groggily went back out to their bedroom. "Want breakfast here or a later when we're on the plane? It is early." He asked, trying his best not to fall asleep in spot
He put on the rest of his clothes and grabbed his back. He hummed from the kiss. He saw the text saying someone was waiting outside for them. "We can eat breakfast on the plane if that's alright with you. I can't eat early in the morning. I could make it if you want something, but I don't think it would be delicious. Come on, and the car is waiting for us outside already. "If you want, we can even get food at the airport and eat it before we get on the plane." Connor stretched his back, trying to wake himself up. "If you are tired, you can sleep in the car, but it would be a very short nap."
"no, no, that's fine. I don't mind waiting until later to eat. Honestly I'm still full from dinner a few hours ago." He wrapped his arms around Connor for a moment, letting himself revel in the blissful moment of warmth. "Will I have to be a cat on the car ride or right before we we enter the airport?" He asked tiredly, words mumbled close to Xonnor's ear as he caught of going back to sleep. He took a deep breath and pressed a kiss to Connor's head, breaking away and shouldering his duffle bag full of clothes. "Oh I'm definitely sleeping in the car." He reassured, a tired smile crossing his features. He spun in a circle, checking the room one more time. "I think we're ready to go."
"Hey, don't fall asleep while standing. It's dangerous. Sleep on the ride there okay? Whichever one is more comfortable for you, but I'm not carrying your bag through the airport." He looked around as well making sure he didn't forget anything. "Perfect." He rolled the two suitcases out of the room. He waited for Jas to come out as well before closing the door behind him. He waned as he walked, he was fully awake but his body was tired. The elevator door opened and he sluggishly walked through pressing the 1st-floor button.
He nodded and followed Connor out if the penthouse apartment and into the elevator. "Is this a normal thing for your organization to do? Send you out on missions at an ungodly hour?" He mumbled shifting his weight slightly. He tried to think back to when he hadn't seen Connor for extended periods of time. Other than when he had married to Winston, he usually saw Connor throughout their lives pretty regularly. "Cuz if this a regular thing, especially this early, it might be a breaking point, darling." He teased, gently lacing their hands together and yawning, a soft meow escaping him.
"Oh please." He shrugged and walked out of the elevator once they reached the ground floor. "You know you're the only one who can bring me to my breaking point. If you know what I mean." he winked, tugging Jas away from the doors. He walked outside and opened the trunk of a black truck. he put his luggage in as well as Jas's and closed it back. He opened the car door, waiting for jas to join him. "Hey, Damion."
"Hey, Connor I will be driving you today. I figured since Jas was coming it would be the best if I was the one who drove you guys to the airport." He gave a thumbs-up before turning around to face the road.
"Thanks, Damion. Are you coming Jas?"
The wink and comment earned Connor a grin from Jas. "I do indeed, my heart." He purred, following Connor out to their awaiting car. He eyed the driver suspiciously and with a bit of recognition. He tilted his head as he slid beside Connor. "You're the one who drove us to the organization headquarters when Connor 'arrested' me." He huffed a small laugh and relaxed into the cushiony seats. "So other than you and Jake, who else knows we're together?" He asked curiously, glancing over at Connor with a smirk
"Well, it's not that everyone knows you're together it's just that well…" Damion started the car and watched the too in back. "It's not that everyone knows, but you should really see how intimate you are with each other whenever you fight. It's like watching two lovers fight over the fact that the dishes weren't washed. Jas you always seduce Connor and then Connor is so emotionless that almost looks angry. Like, when you blow up a building Connor just gets this disappointed look, then he just shakes his head and starts to kick your ass. It's like if you two weren't together it would be a surprise you know?"
Connor blushed at his exclamation. "Are we really?" He huffed and looked out the window watching the cars go by. He glanced at Jas then looked back once he saw his smirk. "Are you going to take a nap?" Connor tapped his lap offering it as a pillow.
