Nora nodded and sat down next to him. The soft blue glow highlighted her face, the curve of her cheekbones, her dark liquid eyes, her full lips.
"If I can find my way out here again," she said, a smile tugging at the corner of her mouth for a split second, "I'll come out."
Cor felt his breath catch as he looked at her. He could have just stared at her like this for cycles. To him, she was absolutely stunning. “I… It's not that hard. You… You just gotta look for the mountain and your heading in the right direction.” he tried to assure her, though it had taken him a few scouting trips to get here and back the first few times.
Nora looked at him sideways. "It's a good thing my cycle can go off-Grid."
She didn't notice Bit, who was floating behind her, inches from the energy pool.
Cor shifted slightly as he made himself look away when he thought she caught him staring. “Yeah. That's really useful out here.” he chuckled before catching sight of his favorite rascal about to make trouble. “Hey! Bit, don't you dare!”
Nora whirled around. "Bit!"
She lunged for the little cuboid, but it whizzed away; swiping for it again, she lost her balance and toppled into the energy pool with a loud splash. She emerged a few moments later, her pink hair plastered to her scowling, dripping face.
"Oh, cubes," she muttered, beginning to climb, somewhat ungracefully, out of the pool. "Bit, look what you've done!"
Cor couldn't help but burst out laughing at the sight of Nora as she started climbing out of the pool though he had been sincerely worried about her when she fell in. “Here, let me help.” he offered, reaching his hand down for her to grab. “I’m sorry. I… I was just trying to get Bit away from the energy.” he explained as he tried to stop laughing. “Are… Are you alright?”
Nora peered up at him through her bangs and took his hand, her own slippery with energy. At first, when she saw the smile on his face, she thought he might be laughing at her, in a mean way… but when she saw the look in his eyes, she couldn't help but feel the same way. A smile broke out across her face, and she laughed as well, allowing him to help her out of the pool.
"Yes, I'm fine," she said, shoving her sopping-wet bangs out of her eyes and scowling up at Bit, who was floating innocently near the cave ceiling. "You little rascal."
Cor kept a strong but gentle grip on her hand as he helped pull her out, still smiling at the situation. He was not a mean-spirited program and would never laugh at Nora in that way, it was just too funny. “Well, I'm glad you're ok.” he nodded, glancing up at Bit once she was safe, agreeing with her comment. “That Bit just lives for trouble, doesn't it?”
Nora grinned and nodded. "Yes. Yes, it does."
She was suddenly aware of how cold she was. "Do you have a towel? Something I could dry myself off with?"
Cor hummed for a moment and gave a thoughtful nod. “I have some blankets you can use.” he said as he slid off his jacket. “Here. You can wear this until I get back.” he offered, already draping over her shoulders.
Nora's light lines turned a soft, light pink as he put his jacket over her shoulders. It was warm, and big, and it smelled like him…
"Thank you," she said, smiling at him.
Cor nodded, smiling at her. “Be right back. Beautiful.” he said, kissing her forehead before standing up.
Nora's lines flushed a deep pink at that one word. Beautiful.
Cor couldn't help but chuckle a little as he noticed her reaction before leaving the cavern. He would always be sincere when he called her that. It wouldn't take him long to reach the room where he kept the blankets and other supplies like that.
Nora looked up at Bit, who was still floating near the ceiling, and tugged Cor's jacket tighter around her shoulders. Well, at least something good had come out of that little rascal's impulses.
Cor sighed a little as he walked through the semi-familiar corridors. He normally didn't mind the slight chill but it did seem to be a little colder without his jacket. However, he knew Nora needed more right now thanks to Bit's antics… even though she did look kinda cute in it. Maybe he should consider coming back here a little more often…
(Does Cor wear his jacket when he's Black Light?)
Nora looked into the shimmering pool of energy. She realised she had never seen Cor without his jacket before… he was kinda cute without it.
(yep. But it looks different. The color changes from black to white and loses the sleeves.)
Cor smiled as he finally found the blankets, making sure to grab two just in case before he started making his way back to Nora, picking up the pace a little. He didn't want her to be cold for longer than she already had been.
(Aight.)
Nora turned around at the sound of footsteps, shoving her still-sopping bangs out of her eyes again. Her bun had come partially undone without her noticing, and her pink hair was streaming down her back.
"Did you find blankets?" she asked.
“Yeah. I brought a couple extra too, in case you need it.” he smiled little at her, catching sight of her loose hair as he sat down next to her. “Do you… do you always keep your hair up? I mean, every time I see you have it pulled back. Do you ever let it down?”
Nora's hand went to her hair absentmindedly, tugging at it until the rest of the bun came loose and all of her hair flowed down her back. It was long, about halfway down her chest.
"I usually keep it up," she said. "It can be irritating. But I let it down occasionally."
“Wow.” he breathed softly as his hand reached up to touch her vibrant colored hair. “I… It looks good on you like this.” Cor complimented, his lines flickering slightly.
Nora flinched slightly at his touch - she wasn't used to that feeling - but then relaxed again. "Thank you."
“Sorry.” Cor apologized, lowering his hand back to his side when he saw how she reacted. “Oh, sweet cubes… Here.” he blushed as he held out the blankets for her, realizing he still had them.
Nora blushed slightly as well as she took the blankets from him. "Do you… want your jacket back?"
Cor looked down at her and how his jacket looked on her and shrugged. “Are you still cold?”
"No, I… I just don't want to get your jacket wet," she explained.
Cor chuckled a little. “I appreciate that but I'm more concerned about you than my jacket.” he told her, still smiling.
Nora blushed slightly and wrapped a blanket around herself.
Cor‘s smirk grew at the sight. He couldn't help but love making her blush that way. It made his code buzz in a way that energy never did.
