(franziska: lemme beat the shit out of a tree real quick)
"Well, this is an interesting development," Hildegard mumbled. "It seems that this place is so strong in magic, it gave…" she trailed off, realizing she didn't know the name of the newcomer. "Ah, what is your name, young one?" Her eyes glanced towards Franziska and her brother, but it seemed Edgeworth had things under control, so she didn't comment on the fact that the younger prosecutor had punched a tree.
"So, in other words, the magic here is…messed up?" Maya asked, who was listening more to Varuni than Hildegard.
(If she has an excuse to beat the shit out of something, she will take it)
(Franziska always has a ’mood’ quality to her)
"… Yes. i'm pretty sure its magic, seeing as… Strawberry!" a strawberry appeared. "Well… that. But it dosent look like magic. it dosent look like the absence of magic either." She glanced at the strawberry, and then down at her body. "Anyone want a strawberry?"
(i mean, RinRin is a wandless magician, but)
(oh f. There was another page XD)
(bro this literally just turned into cloudy with a chance of meatballs 2. A facking strawberry)
(I'm so confused. Explain?)
(Lmfao I was gonna make a Darkstalker joke -)
(im confused because of the confusion..)
(I'm confused as to what's going on in the story)
(they're still in the forest but it's like super fucking strong in magic and that magic is leaking out and giving whoever is around temporary powers. they're just currently playing around with it and just talking about it)
Franziska got up and stretched, checking the movement of her arm. Then she randomly punched a tree, leaving the bark cracked. Yep, it was fully healed, not even a scar to show for her battle. Immediately after, she looked like she was about to slip away from the camp when Miles grabbed her forearm and stared at her sternly. Franziska tugged her arm away, but Miles continued his glare.
He spoke quietly to her, basically unintelligible to everyone except them. Franziska looked…upset. But not her usual anger, more like Miles’ shameful grimace. The man seemed like he was trying to calmly convince her to do something.
Varuni immidetly pointed to the tree and said "douse. Douse the flames." and the flames on the tree went out. "Usually, magic is a mystical color, one that i can't describe.. its.. almost like a purpley orangeish silverey color… that… dosent make sense… I call is Mystive. magic also usually makes some sort of pattern, even if the pattern is hidden. The forest appears… almost black… except also green and red, and yellow somehow. all at the same time. its like the opposite of Mystive. it also has absolutely no pattern, there are uneven jagged lines, circles, triangles, curvy shapes… and a lot more. and its loud. Magic usually has a music, a soft chime to it. this is more like screaming." Varuni said, as her eyes went back to normal.
Joel looks at the tree, then his hand.
"But- my hand-" he says sadly, flapping his hand again.
"Douse? Extinguish? Kablooey?" he rattles off.
Kablooey worked. God, it worked.
The nearby trees were vaporized and Joel now stood in a crater 10 feet deep.
"Oops-"
"ah… Reverse? bring back our stuff?" Varuni tried. "Heal? Undo? Vicissim?" the latin translation worked, and all the matter (and fire on joel's hand) was back. "Douse fire on hand." It started to work, but the fire sputtered back. "douse ignem manibus" Varuni tried, working this time. "Ha! Latin for the win!"
(Was there a boom? Because I could do something with a boom…)
(Talking to Force, sorry-)
(There most definitely was a loud boom, akin to the sound of 4 pounds of C4 going off all at once)
Joel looks around, relieved.
"Latin, huh?"
Luckily for Miles, the tremor from the explosion was only as bad as a plane landing. But Franziska wasn’t as fortunate; as soon as the boom rang out, she latched herself onto Miles’ arm, eyes wide, her fingers digging into him, barely cushioned by multiple layers of clothing.
The older prosecutor could feel her heart pounding through her chest. He didn’t know what to do, she’d never acted like this before. He set his eyes on Maya, who knew much more about emotions than he did, asking her for help with just a facial expression.
(rinrin appears saying "OOGA BOOGA and the entire forest just explodes, killing them all)
(no!) "Yes, Latin. I internshiped with the latin at some point. forever ago."
