… Only thing I can think of is she ticked off the Head Honcho somehow. Maybe a "prank" went a little too far or she snapped at someone important, insulting them as well as getting into a fight and beating the other one up.

The gods… to say the least, were pissed. If not ready to throw Maddalena into the burning pits of the underworld. The court of the most powerful seven gods sat together in their semi circle chatting about what exactly they should do in regards of the prank that had gone too far. Finally, they called in Maddalena. After all, she had a record of destroying everything she touched, and had a knack for pranks and mischief. They were done with her bullshit. The head goddess, Ausra, goddess of life, fertility, and light stood in front of her throne, her golden eyes scanning over the court. "So we have come to an agreement. Guards, bring in Maddalena. She has made her last mistake."

Maddalena sighed as she stood between two guards outside the court, absentmindedly twirling a small object, that she didn't care to identify, between her fingers. She was more than a little bored right now and that really annoyed her. After pulling a tiny little harmless prank, to a deity at least, some of the higher-ups had her “arrested” and kept outside these doors while they came to some kind of decision. She would deny being nervous about this as it wasn't the first time she’d gotten up to her usual tricks and been punished for it but there was a different air about this wait. One she couldn't seem to put her finger on and she didn't like it.

The guard on her right quickly snatched the item out of her hand and straightened up even more. “Let’s go. They're ready for you.” he said in a deep gravely voice.

The Goddess of thieves and mischief shrugged casually and gave a simple nod. “Good. I was tired of waiting.” she replied as the doors opened and calmly strolled into the court.

The seven gods stood as she entered, the three goddesses, the three gods, and the one deity. Ausra looked at the goddess before her and cleared her throat. "Maddalena, Goddess of Thieves and Mischief. We have allowed your mischief and thievery to go on, but your pranks have gone to far for the last time." Her lips pressed together and she sighed softly. "You have injured four wind spirits, and multiple creatures. The council has come to an agreement. Your fun has gotten out of hand. Your actions have gotten out of hand. So the council has decided. You will be stripped of your godhood until you can earn your godhood back. You will become mortal." She nods to the cloaked deity who raised their hand, gathering the essence of the goddess that stood in front of them. "You will learn." They said darkly.
There was a flash of light and the goddess was thrown from the heavens.

Maddalena kept a calm face as she approached the others, though she was only half-listening to the reprimand. In truth, she hadn't intended for the wind spirits to be harmed by her actions but by then it was too late to stop anything. And she didn't care much what happened to the simple beasts, but she knew she would have to make it up to the goddess of animals and monsters as well as apologizing to Ausra, quite possibly, though that would be with great reluctance.

Her ears perked when she actually heard the punishment and looked at Ausra in shock. Live as a mortal? She couldn't be serious. However, a quick look at the rest of the Parthenon told her how serious this was. Before she could even manage to get a word out, the Deity had raised their hand and Maddalena felt her powers diminish to nearly nothing before she was blasted backwards and knocked unconscious.

It was about… four in the morning when Azalea heard the crash near her home. She startled out of bed, looking at her clock on her bedside table before getting out of bed and carefully creeping out of her room. She grabbed a bat from her closet and prepared it before silently creeping through her small cabin. She gulped softly as she wandered through the dark of her home. She inhaled shakily and made it out into the yard where the crash had come from. "Hello? Is someone out there?" She calls quietly, moving through the garden. "Hello?" She raised the bat carefully, wanting to make sure that at least something was even out there. She took a deep breath and tried to remain calm as she explored. The thing that sucked about living in the woods is that she didn't have many neighbors.

Normally, the transition to Earth was instantaneous and a little calm… though there were many ways a god or goddess could travel between their home and the mortal world. But this time, despite being unconscious, Maddalena was vaguely aware of a sensation of falling and a slight burning before coming to an abrupt stop. Which knocked the remaining breath she had, out of her.

The ground was smoldering in a shallow crater around her roughly ten feet away from Azalea’s home and there was a small trickle of reddish-bronze blood coming from her temple.

Azalea made it outside and to where the crater was, her eyes narrowing slightly as she looks into the crater before startling a bit when she saw a woman bleeding. She carefully moved down into the crater to look at them a little better. "Are you okay?" She calls softly. "Are you even alive?" She glances around before clicking her tongue and carefully hauling the tall woman up. "Jesus christ you're as heavy as a wall of bricks- what are you? Pure beef?" She hissed out softly. She was used to hauling around bags of soil, but this was like multiple bags shoved together. She dragged the woman along and into the house, setting her onto the couch for now. She started to gather a few things, a bowl filled with warm water, a wash cloth, some band-aids and food.

Maddalena groaned softly as she was moved but didn't wake yet. Having her power stripped, being forced into a human body, and being thrown from her home was actually draining. Not to mention the physical pain she was currently in. Normally, deities couldn't be hurt except by other gods and goddesses but now, she would only have a higher pain tolerance.
She let out a slow shaky breath as she was laid down on the couch, her eyes fluttering slightly but not opening yet.

@Vuclan-is-tired

"Ah good, you're still alive." She mutters softly, moving to the others side and gently placing a hand on her shoulder. "Stay still." She murmured. She grabs a stool and settles next to the other before wetting the rag and dabbing gently at the blood to clean it off. "Sweet Apollo, this couldn't have waited until I was awake?" She mutters softly, her eyes scanning over the woman carefully. "I don't think you have any broken bones, but better safe than sorry."

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

The former goddess hissed softly when the cloth touched her cut, her eyes finally opening. “Don’t mention that burning prick in front of me…” she groaned as she looked around before she looked at the unfamiliar woman. “W-who are you? Where… Where am I?” she asked groggily, trying to deny everything that just happened.

@Vuclan-is-tired

She clicked her tongue. "My name is Azalea. I found you out in my yard." She hummed softly, "As for where you are, you're in my home. You're injured, so I wouldn't recommend moving around too much." She finished cleaning up the blood before offering a tiny smile. "Hold still. I'll need to make sure you're okay."

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

Maddalena frowned slightly at the woman's answers. ”And you are a mortal, I take it? I don't believe I have ever seen you before.” she grumbled before pushing Azalea’s hand away. “If I am injured at all, I can assure you that I have been through worse pain than this, little flower.” she huffed, managing to sit up to help prove her point. Besides, Ausra wouldn't let me be badly hurt or die so soon into my… punishment. Her brow furrowed angrily at the thought as she dug her nails into her palms.

@Vuclan-is-tired

She paused at that, her head tilting slightly. "Yes, I'm mortal. We all are." She clicked her tongue before a small cat came wandering into the room. She smiled a little at the sight, and picks the cat up. She hums, "Even if you've been through worse, not setting bones can cause them to grow back weird." She shrugged as she ran her hand through the cats fur. "Well then. I can go get some food for you if you'd like. Do you want something to drink too?"

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

“Ha!” a brief annoyed mocking laugh escaped carelessly at the naive woman’s comment on being mortal. She nearly replied with the fact that she was not… but the words wouldn't come. Possibly because, at the moment, Maddalena was mortal… whether she liked it or not. She sighed a little and stood up. “None of my bones are broken. You don't need to worry yourself about that.” she said dismissively before a thought came to her and she turned her full gaze upon Azalea. “I am not hungry but tell me, little flower, do you not know who I am?”

@Vuclan-is-tired

Her brow raised ever so slightly at the laugh. Typical. She saw that a lot with people, it's why she moved out here in the first place. She didn't like dealing with people, even if her jobs were part of it. "None of your bones may be broken, but you could have a sprain, a fracture, anything." She sighed and shrugged. She looked at the clock. "My name is Azalea, I'd prefer that. And no, I am not familiar with who you are. All I know is that you crashed into my yard at 4 in the morning, and I have work in about two hours." She pulled her hair back and clicked her tongue. "So. Get settled. You can stay here for now. Just… don't break anything." She sighed. "I'll go make food anyways… I need breakfast. Gods it's to early for this." She moved to the kitchen in the next room over. She ran a hand through her hair and sighed. Her kitten, Atropos settled on the table as she cooked. "Hey, baby. Where are your sisters?" Just as she said that, the two other kittens entered the kitchen. "Hello darlings." She chuckles quietly and hummed softly as she set out a few bowls of food for them.

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

Maddalena sighed again, running her hand across her face before tangling her fingers in her hair. This time a softer broken chuckle slipped out at the sheer irony. Well, one thing’s for sure… I’m not going to say Aursa has no sense of humor anymore. It wasn't enough to strip her of her rank, powers, and immortality but she had to be sent here; near a foolish human who didn't know of her? “I am not going to forget this, Aursa.” she swore softly. “And so help me, I will get you back for this.” Yes, her pranks were the reason she was in this situation but you couldn't just ask a deity to stop doing what they were known for. It was as instinctive to them as breathing was for a human or hunting was for most animals. Her eyes widened slightly as she quickly pulled her hand up to her face and created a small but bright flame above her palm. The sight was both encouraging and disappointing to her.

@Vuclan-is-tired

Azalea finished cooking up breakfast and set it on the table with a covering over it so the kittens didn't get into it. She opened the kitty door before moving into her room. "Breakfast is served if you want it! I need to head off to work." She clicked her tongue. She got dressed, braided her hair, and moved into the living room. "The cats will beg for food, don't let them have any more then what's in their bowls. Otherwise they'll get immensely sick." She sighed and ran a hand through her hair. "And make sure to rest, okay? I'll be back later." She moved out towards the front door. The kittens mewled softly and wove around her legs as she went to the front door. "I know my loves, I'll be back soon." She shut the door behind her.
