"Well, it's not a wedding. Just the bachelor and bachelorette party," Dawn clarified, "but, yeah, it'll be a gig."

Tod nods, smiling at Rose's drama. "Okay." He picks at the zipper of his jacket, just a little nervous about the upcoming gig.

"Will there be free food?" Rose asked.

Dawn grinned and exclaimed, "Of course! It's a party, for one, and, two, Kenzie loves food. Like, a lot. I don't know how she can eat as much as she does and stay so skinny!"

"Cake…. mmmmm…." Kai mumbled through a mouthful of crackers, cheese, and ham.

Rose smiled, "I've discovered you burn more calories if you keep moving. So I'm pretty much a bottomless pit, that might be how she stays skinny."

His nervousness momentarily forgotten, Tod shakes his head, smiling until his face hurts at his friends; gosh, he loves these guys.

"Yeah, I guess. Her fiancé might have something to do with it, too. She's so easily flustered by him, and it's honestly so cute to watch them together," Dawn said. She looked over at Tod, who was smiling wide and shaking his head. "What?"

Tod bites his lower lip a moment. "This is going to sound cheesy, but," he rubs the back of his neck. "I really like you guys." He gestures to the room around them. "I love what we're doing."

Rose nodded, "Honestly same. You guys are just great to be around. And you put up with my weirdness."

Dawn's grin grew wider. "Aw, that's sweet! I like what we're doing here, too. It's pretty great, huh?"

"Definitely!" Rise shouted.

"Definitely." Tod repeats, although way quieter.

Mark lets out a gentle laugh, "I love you guys, weirdness and all. Besides, all this talk of food and deep stuff is making me hungry. How about this, to celebrate, dinner on me?" He asks cheerfully.

"Free food?" Rose looked at Mark.

He nods, "Free food, on me." He says, happily, "My uncle runs a restaurant nearby. He says I'm welcome to bring anyone, on the house." He smiles.

Rose ran towards Mark, "Let's go!"

Mark laughs, looking at the others, "How about you guys, feeling up to some free food to the point where you'll go into a food coma?" He asks, laughing.

Tod raises his hand. "I'm up for some grub." He closes his guitar case, snapping the latches shut, each with a small metallic snap. He opts for carrying the case by its small handle instead of swinging its strap over his shoulder. and then joins Mark and Rose at the door.

Mark smiles, "Sweet!" he chuckles.

"Heck yeah!" Dawn exclaimed, quickly shutting her mic and the soundboard off. She waited by the door for the rest of the group. "I can drive a few people in my Jeep."

"And I've got my truck with me, so we can put our stuff in there." Mark says, smiling.

Roshe's foot started tapping, "Is this everyone?"

"Well, let's see. Dawn (me), Rose, Mark, Tod, and Kai… Yeah, that's all of us," Dawn answered, glancing around the room.

"Then let's go!" Rose's face split into a huge smile.

"Who wants to ride with me?" Dawn shouted over her shoulder as she walked to her vehicle.

Mark laughs, "I got two seats, so whoever wants to sit with me is more than welcome to."

"I'll go with Mark," Rose said.

Tod chuckles at that. "Then I guess the Kai and I are with you, Dawn."

"All right," Dawn said, reaching her Jeep. "One of you can sit in the passenger seat if you want, and the other can sit in the back, or you can both sit in the back."
