"One tribe?" Connie asked. "We're screwed."

"Naw we just need to stay around Arvider." She turned to the east. "Which is thataway."

"Im not on drugs. Im just happy." She said.

"Nice to meet you happy, I'm depressed." Connie retorted.

"I'm Sly." They rolled they're eyes. "Come on we need to get to civilization."

"Awww. That's not fun." Echo said, frowning.

Connie waited for the others to follow Sly and then took up the rear, aiming her bow at the ground while scanning the area behind them.

"Well there are wolves and stuff in this world so come one." Sly looked over her shoulder. "Besides, not all of us are weird dragon things."

Echo walked along behind Sly and waved at the clouds

Connie glanced frantically for any threats and strained her ears. She was going to live to finish Clutterfunk and her books!

"If the clouds are happy, they won't rain!" Echo said happily.

Rory sighed. "Did you know elephants' brains react to humans the same way humans' react to puppies?" She asked.

The forest eventually got sparser. Sly led them out into a clearing. Ahead was a large town, not quite a city. "Oh did I mention that the style is Victorian?"

"Style doesn't matter." She muttered, flicking hair from her eyes. "Lets' just get somewhere safe."

"AHAHA. Elephants." Echo said shaking her head.

Sly started down the hill. "Well if we're gonna blend in that means dresses for the girls."

"Yayyyyy clothessss!"

Connie grabbed her notebook and wrote away her weapons. She followed Sly warily, scared of what she might find.

Rory wrinkled her nose. "Ew. Dresses. Can I just parade as a guy? I think I could pass." she said.

Sly looked her up and down. "I guess?"

"Thanks." Rory nodded. "Time to be serious."

"How're we even going to get to the clothes shops like this?" She asked. "I can't write anything in I haven't already owned."

"Oo I have money!"

"Well we could say we're gypsies! They dress weird all the time for shows."

"Aren't these people gypsies?" Connie asked furrowing her brow in confusion. "Or am i extremely wrong?"

"No no." Sly waved her hands. "The people in town are Elzalorians. The Gypsies live in the woods."

Echo laughs and spins around, changing into a classic Victorian dress.

"What the heckaroo?"

"Okay, that makes more sense." Connie jumped away from Echo, making a strangled shrieking noise.

Echo laughs again and does it to Sly too.
