Astral could feel Simon drifting off, too. The god let a little of his own influence, not enough for Simon to realize it was him, flow into the man, lulling him to sleep. He needed rest.

Astral moved to lay down, now that Simon was asleep. He cuddled with the sleeping man, content to lay there and fall asleep himself. He'd for sure be holding Simon still when the man woke up.

Simon didn’t sleep for as long as he needed to, he maybe got another three hours of sleep. But it was better than nothing. He opened his eyes slowly, already able to tell that he was still stuck in this stupid room with Astral. Without even really knowing why, he felt tears starting to blur his vision and roll slowly down his face.

Astral was asleep himself, Simon held gently to his chest. He awoke slowly, though, looking down at Simon. He didn't say a word, hand coming up and wiping the tears from Simon's face.

Astral watched as Simon closed his eyes, his hand falling to gently rub against his back similar to before they both fell asleep. The god rested his head back on the pillow, humming softly.

Simon didn’t even dare to really think too much right now, knowing that Astral could be listening at any moment. Right now, his head felt really fuzzy, not really feeling much of anything besides depression.

Astral was worried, some, when he noticed how Simon was feeling. He was worried it would be negative for the child. He moved to hold Simon close, resting his head on the mortal's.

Simon nodded quickly, grateful to be given the option. He knew that at some point he’d just have to suck it up and deal with this all the time. But at the moment, it was too hard for him. He was too tired and felt like he was under too much stress.

"You're welcome…" Astral didn't want Simon under too much stress, after all. Mia reached over to offer her hands to Simon, keeping her sight down so she wouldn't glare at Astral. There were only so many times Simon could save her, after all.

Perhaps. Astral wasn't directly watching them, which could be both a good or bad thing. Mia ran her fingers through Simon's hair, letting out a small breath. Things had been… tense, waiting to see if Simon would even get to come back at all.

Mia paused when she saw Simon's smile, but nothing happened. Astral didn't even say anything to either of them. Perhaps he was asleep again..? Or he was being more lenient, letting Simon just be happy instead of making him happy with the god only.

Simon stopped smiling as soon as he noticed that that’s what he was doing. He didn’t want to risk getting on Astral’s bad side again so soon. He yawned softly, all the tiredness suddenly hitting him again.
