"I was a bit worried Astral would try to keep you there, but I wasn't bothered much. I'm just glad you're okay." Mia offered a small smile, hugging herself close.
"I was a bit worried Astral would try to keep you there, but I wasn't bothered much. I'm just glad you're okay." Mia offered a small smile, hugging herself close.
“Yeah I was worried about the same thing, so I made sure to be as pleasant as I could. I’m glad you didn’t end up getting super bothered by it, that’s really good.” He said, smiling softly.
"Mm…" Mia smiled back, glad to see it. After such a stressful day, Simon could use something like this to help him stay calm.
Simon was enjoying the attention he was getting right now, beginning to hum happily. He was letting the memories from earlier just fade away as best he could.
Mia rested her head lightly on Simon's, her hand rubbing small circles into his back. The leopard looked up, rubbing his head against Simon's back in turn. So, he liked getting pets too?
Simon giggled softly at feeling the leopard start to do the same. “Well hello there friend.”
The leopard raised his head some, resting his chin on Simon's free shoulder. Friend? That sounded nice… The leopard licked Simon's cheek lightly, keeping close. Mia smiled a bit. The leopard was gentle, at least… She was glad for that.
Simon reached up his free hand to continue petting the leopard’s head. He’d almost forgotten about all his earlier issues with Astral at this point.
Mia was glad Simon seemed to be doing a lot better. She rested her own head on his, smiling just some. She wasn't sure what they could do, though. How they could… continue.
Simon wasn’t sure either, which is why he was opting to just not think about it right now. All he knew is things would probably get worse and worse, and he didn’t quite know how to deal with it.
For now, though, they were safe. Astral was leaving them alone. He wasn't actively hurting them. That's all they could really ask for, wasn't it at this point.
It'd get so, so much worse once the child was born.
Simon knew that. He knew that the only reason he wasn’t being hurt just as much as Mia was because of the child he was carrying, and because it was Astral’s.
Mia was lucky she was still there. Just like before, she was only important when she was providing something to the one Astral really wanted out… Would she go away again when Simon 'didn't need her anymore?'
Simon didn’t want to think about that, but if he did he’d definitely come to the conclusion that Astral would take her away. After the child was born, his health, mental or physical, wouldn’t be important anymore. So there wouldn’t be a need to have someone look after him.
Perhaps even beforehand she'd get taken away. Astral could decide he would be the one to care for Simon. One could never know… and it scared Mia. She'd finally had a taste of freedom, and it was going to go away.
((Aaaaaaaaa that’d be very not good ;-;))
Simon hadn’t even considered that option. For right now, he felt safe in knowing that she’d be able to stay with him for at least until the baby was born. He didn’t think she’d go away before then.
(Mhmm ;-;)
Astral knew better. He knew what he had planned, and that neither of them would do good with it. He liked that.
Mia kept tucked close to Simon, looking up to see the leopard was napping against Simon by now.
Simon was perfectly content in his spot, his eyes now closed. He was sort of letting his mind go where it pleased, hoping he’d drift off at some point.
Astral thought, for a moment, about 'helping' Simon's mind wander, but decided against it. Simon had accepted the kiss, he'd get some rest.
It'd be hard for him to dift off, anyway, with him both getting a full night of rest and then being forced to rest for another several hours.
Simon knew that, so he was mostly just letting his eyes rest, and give his mind a break from worrying. It’d be less likely for Astral to have to come and intervene if he wasn’t doing anything.
Simon was right in that, at least. Astral would leave him alone if he didn't do anything wrong in the god's eyes. Mia had her own eyes closed, running her fingers through Simon's hair on occasion.
Simon enjoyed this moment, saving this calm feeling for whenever the next bad moment would be. And he knew there would be another one. He just hoped he actually would be able to remember this then, being at peace.
Mia knew it wouldn't last forever, too. She'd savor every moment of this, for when there was nothing she could do but watch from a table or shelf. The leopard moved some in his sleep, licking Simon's cheek again.
Simon smiled at that, carefully reaching a hand up and petting the leopard’s head. He made sure not to wake him, pulling away after a moment.
((Eeeeeee so what do we wanna have next?))
(sdfgh I have no idea lol)
(Maybe some Emile/Lily fluff before Emile inevitably finds out about what Astral did?)
((Eeeeeeee sounds good lol))
Lily hummed some, sitting down eventually and looking up at Emile.
"This is really fun, thank you!"
“You’re very welcome.” He said, smiling down at her. “We can do this again tomorrow if you want to.” He offered. Emile was a bit worried right now. He thought he’d heard something from another part of the palace, but when he’d actually paid attention enough to try and listen, it was gone.
Lily had heard too, but she'd learned enough to ignore any sounds from other places.
"Really?" She asked, looking up at Emile with a grin. "Yes please!" She didn't want to just have to sit somewhere anymore, she wanted to do things.
He nodded, his smile widening some at her excitement. It helped him to stop worrying, even if just a little bit.
