Rose quickly went to Leon, helping to tug off the restraints and get the tape off. “We have to go, you’re coming to my apartment,” he said.

"After we get everyone knocked out," He replied and went over to John to punch him in the face.

Rose gave a brief nod, picking the bat back up. He felt more at ease with it, more comfortable with using it than he had been before.

Leon was able to effectively knock John out, again, and moved onto another person.

Rose did likewise, swinging the bat into the jaw of a man.

Finally, everyone was knocked out cold on the floor. Leon sighed with relief and looked at Rose, and smiled,"Thanks for helping, Rose."

Rose bit the inside of his cheek sharply and set the bat down. “You’re welcome.. How often does this happen?”

"Whenever they're drunk, horny, or are about to be broke," He said.

Rose grimaced, fidgeting with his sleeves. “That’s terrible.. We should go now,” he said.

"If you insist," He replied.

Rose nodded quickly, hesitantly taking Leon’s hand, interwinding their fingers as he gently tugged Leon outside.

Leon smiled to himself and blushed a little when Rose took his hand. He quietly followed Rose to his house.

Eventually, the pair arrived at Rose’s apartment. It was on the first floor, and he let go on Leon’s hand to dig the keys from his pocket. He hadn’t let go the whole way there. He unlocked the door and pushed it open, letting Leon into the decently sized space, it having more of a modern style to it. He locked the door and walked over, setting the keys onto the marble countertop. “Here we are,” he said with a faint smile.

He looked around the house in awe, and looked back at Rose,"It looks so nice," He said with a faint smile.

Rose glanced down at his shoes with a slightly bashful smile. “Thank you.. There’s an extra bedroom if you want to stay there, and theres a bathroom if you need to shower at all,” he explained in a light tone.

"It's fine, I don't want to bother you," He said.

“I mean, it wouldn’t be a bother at all, I just don’t think you should go home while those men are there,” Rose murmured, rubbing the back of his neck now.

"They come like every 2 weeks, I'll be fine," He said while looking at the house.

“If you say so..” Rose responded, shifting his weight in his heels.

"Rose, stop worrying about me. I've survived for 17 years," He said while putting a hand on Rose's shoulder and looking at him.

Rose glanced around the kitchen, resisting the overwhelming urge to lean into Leon’s touch. He gave a meek smile and said, “I’m always worrying.”

"Take care of yourself first," He said and smiled back.

Rose gave a loose shrug at that. “I like helping people out.”

“I wouldn’t say that,” Rose murmured, cheeks lightly tinting pink.

"I would," He said, his cheeks were slightly pink.

Rose glanced down at his feet in an embarrassed way as his cheeks were flushed. “That’s sweet..”

"I would've been raped and robbed today if you weren't there," He said and looked away, his cheeks flushing slightly pink.

“I’m glad I was there to help,” Rose said, trailing his fingers over his lower lip piercings.
