Blake smiled widely, leaning back into the tree so he could hug Kye tightly. He was very excited about it, looking forward to being full size more of the time.
Kye grinned back, embracing the other in return. He had been a bit surprised at the sudden hug, but wasn't opposed. There was progress now. He was already thankful to Derlik for allowing Blake more freedoms. Which was actually nicer than his own experience in hindsight. But that of course had to do with the fact he had several life times.

Blake loosened his hold on Kye after a moment so the other could pull away if he wanted to. But if Kye didn’t let go, then Blake most likely wouldn’t either.
Kye felt happy being held so he stayed where he was. He shifted a little to look down at Derlik below. "That's fair I guess," he said, still not happy about having to wait. Despite years seeming to pass faster now, Kye was never one for patience when it involved something he wanted.

"So, you two coming down or do you plan to sleep up there?"

Kye had figured Blake was getting more privileged faster due to the fact that they might only be around for a single lifetime. He hummed at the idea of Blake being able to walk around the area themselves whenever they wished. It would make them happier for sure. "If I don't come down, what are you gonna do about it?" he joked, snuggling further into Blake's side.
