Kenji exhaled heavily as Kuno explained what they would be doing. "Great, I have to hang with you for the day. I'm sure it will be so fun," he huffed in annoyance, sarcasm dripping from his words. He guessed that he could pick up any little things that he would need for Brazil, or some of his hidden things in his room that was in the apartment above the pub. "Are you going to leave so that I can get changed?" he asked with a sharp look, sitting up a bit as he ran his hands through his messy hair. He would bring Brazil along with him, he decided, so she could maybe find a snack while they were out at the pub.

Kuno resisted the urge to roll his eye at Kenji’s sarcasm. At least he was agreeing to come. “Yes, I will.” Kuno turned and headed towards the door. He headed out to the courtyard to wait for Kenji. Hopefully, the man wouldn’t be too much trouble during the trip. And hopefully, he wouldn’t take this chance to sneak off. Speaking of that, he should probably use a little magic to ensure the prince didn’t get the chance to do that. Kuno reached into his eternity pouch and pulled out his journal. He couldn’t think of a spell off the top of his head, but he was sure he could find something that would work. Kuno flipped through the pages quickly, scanning each spell for a useful one. He stopped somewhere in the middle, on a spell that wasn’t usually used for that type of thing. But it would probably work.

Kenji waited for Kuno to leave the room, rolling his eyes as the male walked away. He sat up and got out of the bed, stretching his arms out with a huff. He threw on a t-shirt, then pulled on a pair of jeans. He put a pair of sneakers on before he made his way to the bathroom, where he brushed his teeth and fixed up his hair. Once he was finished, he collected Brazil and let her rest around his neck. He headed out of the bedroom area, heading into the courtyard. "Alright, lets get this stuff over with," he hummed.

"Mmm." Kuno looked up and quickly closed his journal. He slipped it into his eternity pouch, exchanging it for a small length of twine. If he tweaked the trapping spell a bit, it could probably ensure Kenji didn't disappear. He would be able to leave, but Kuno would know where he would be. Probably. Kuno wrapped the twine around his left middle finger and made a quick gesture, staring intently at Kenji. "Ine elgi." The twine disappeared, and a faint thread appeared between Kuno and Kenji, attached to their wrists. "Let's go. This way." Kuno turned and headed towards the door. Even with his back turned towards the prince, he knew that he was behind him. The spell had worked. At least one thing was going well that day.

(hi hi, sorry for the delay! i just had midterm week and am finishing up finally, so i’ve been very busy, but i’m back!)

Kenji adjusted the beanie he had on his head, fixing at the strands of hair that were sticking out from under it. He arched a brow when he heard the words Kuno said. He did not recognize the language. He would not have guessed that it was magic- being quite the skeptic about all of those things. He barely noticed the string around his wrist, too distracted with Brazil as he cooed at her softly in a loving whisper. He followed after Kuno with a lazy sort of pace, taking his time like he had done the last time they went out together. “Where are we going and why?” he asked Kuno.

(Ah, you're good! Welcome back! :)
"We're going to the markets to get things for taveni-holu," Kuno answered, heading in the direction of the nearest exit. His tone was sharp, but he was trying his best to not let Kenji know just how annoyed he was that this was happening. The holiday was one he especially enjoyed, and it would be the first one that could be celebrated fully since the war first began. Kuno pushed open a side door and stepped out into the edge of a huge square. There were quite a few vendors there, but none were the ones that Kuno needed to visit. The queens had given him a very specific list of people to visit– apparently, they'd told them what they wanted in advance. He and Kenji just needed to pick them up. Kuno wove his way through the square, checking every once in a while to make sure Kenji was still near.

(thank you!!)

"Taveni-holu," Kenji echoed slowly, properly butchering the pronunciation of the language. He did smirk, though, when he heard the sharp edge in Kuno's. Kuno seemed to be growing bothered by him, and that was exactly what he wanted to hear. It had been his current goal, after all. He wondered why he was supposed to be going with Kuno and how easy it would be to sneak off. There were no guards with them, and it was just Kuno. He was sure that, with his knowledge of the streets, it would not be too difficult to slip away. Of course, he did not know about the little spell that was put on him to make him stay near. He would follow along at a bored sort of pace, stopping briefly at times to look at different stands.

Kuno turned onto a smaller street, idly wondering if Kenji would keep following him nicely and if not, when he would try to get out of there. Hopefully, he wouldn't try to get away, because then Kuno would have to follow him and it would be a whole thing. Maybe he should have literally tied himself to Kenji. Kuno checked the spell, then stopped in front of the first building he was supposed to stop at. "We're getting golden dewdrops here. Do you know what they symbolize?" Kuno asked in a slightly bored voice, turning to look over his shoulder. He didn't expect Kenji to know the answer, but the queens had encouraged him to teach some things to the prince.
