"That's not for me to say." Lyon muttered, "Can I please get some sleep now?"
"That's not for me to say." Lyon muttered, "Can I please get some sleep now?"
"Yeah, sure. Rest is good for your health, or something…" Ashpaw got up again and limped off to the other den, tail dragging on the ground.
"You really should not worry," Winter instructed, "Your clan is big and they can take care of themselves, don't you trust them?"
"I do, it's just… Lilypetal's inexperienced. I feel like I'm letting them down, since Finchsong left me in charge of that stuff. Lilypetal doesn't know how to help a queen give birth, or fix a broken leg, or anything. Just simple stuff."
"Cant you really on the other healers? From the other clan? Wont they help you clan?"
"I'm not sure. I mean, the clan will probably seek help after I've been gone a while, assuming that I've died or run off with Leopardpaw, depending on what's happened to her."
"Yep," She sighed, walking over to the camp entrance, "But please don't worry, we'll all get out of this place sometime."
(Time skip to Finchsong and Oakleaf?)
(Sure. I guess he went with her, then?)
(Well, someone else can go with her, I just though he when with her… You can pick a different cat if you want)
(No, that's fine. I just thought he left. We can…. develop…. their relationship :D)
(Ok! Left say he changed his mine about not going with her! Your turn to start!)
(Cool cool)
Finchpaw sighed, looking around as she walked. "Thanks for coming, Oakleaf. It means a lot to me." She smiled softly at him.
"No thank you," He said back, "I don't think I could have survived another day in camp with Larkwhisker, he thinks that since I'm a fully trained medicine cat he can become lazy and make me do all the work!"
"Yeah… it's pretty overwhelming sometimes. I just hope Ashpaw's alright… it seems so strange, doesn't it? Me having an apprentice at only thirteen moons! Surely I'm setting a record of some sort."
"Yes you are." Oakleaf laughed, walking through a patch of ferns, "Just think of the future when he takes on an apprentice! You'll be there to help him!"
"Yep! Unless I die, of course. Hopefully I'll live long, though. Do you think Whitecloud has had her kits since we've left? I hope she's doing well… is this really a good idea?" She glanced back in the direction of the forest.
"Your the one who said we should follow Starclan and leave are clans to go to the mountains." Oakleaf teased, flicking his tail in her face.
"I know, I hope I wasn't wrong." Finchsong turned her eyes towards the mountains. They seemed so far away, and also close. It was hard to tell exactly the distance.
"We'll get there, you know that." He said, looked out into the distance, "Compared to what the mice see, our journey is short."
"True. Do you think we'll need to rest before then?" Her tail swayed a bit in the breeze as they walked.
"We will have to rest, like always." He said, "We aren't little kits, full of energy that seems to run all day!"
"Ah, I remember those days. Although, I was a lot more mild than my siblings."
"You were always different." He teased.
"Yep! Instead of playing ordinary kit games, I hung out in the medicine den. You know, I see a lot of myself in Ashpaw. He does the same thing, or did, I suppose. He's supposed to hang around there now."
"I still don't think you should have left him, you know, being the only medicine cat and he isn't even trained."
"I know… I still feel horrible about it, but what choice did I really have? If worst comes to worst, he can get help from one of the other clans. After all, at least the medicine cats are all on good terms with each other."
"But not really with Larkwhisker," Oakleaf put in, "but yet again, when ever we're they on good terms with him?"
"No one's really on good terms with Larkwhisker." Finchsong laughed. "No offense, but he's not particularly friendly."
"I know," He smirked, laying his tail on her shoulder, "Hay! Lets go to that stream!" He exclaimed, bouncing off to the sound of rushing water.
Finchsong hopped after him, encouraged by the sound of water. She was a Riverclan cat, after all.
