Emile’s brow furrowed, a little bit frustrated by that response. “Why is that good?” He asked, having to resist the urge to curse at the god.

"Because's she's a little whiny bitch," Astral sneered. The trinket in Emile's hand was terrified, actually physically shaking from it.

((If I could end Astral’s life myself rn I would))

Emile pulled the trinket close just to be sure that Astral couldn’t reach out and grab her now. “Astral you’ve already owned her soul for god knows how long, this is literally the least you could do.” He said, trying not to snap at the god.

(Me too aha, just wait until you hear a) hold old she is and b) what the hell happened :').)

Astral rolled his eyes.
"No, not crushing her into dust is the least I can do," He countered. "And it's more than she deserves." The trinket was well pass the point of just wanting to cry now, and freaking out. It was hard to describe just how horrible this was for her.

Emile felt terribly for the poor trinket in his hands, he could only imagine how stressed she was. “I really doubt that’s what she deserves.” He snapped. ‘If anyone would deserve that, it’d be you.’ He thought to himself.

(ahahahahahahaha)

Astral let out a loud snort, rolling his eyes.
"Sure, sure," he said, legs folded. "Don't tell me what my souls do and don't deserve."

Emile narrowed his eyes, still holding the shaking trinket in his hands. “They’re still people, Astral!”

(We dooooo)

Astral smirked, some, picking up another trinket to push towards Emile.
"Does this look human to you?" He asked. "Last I checked, humans weren't made of plastic, or china, or anything other than flesh and bone!"

((Astral would lose all of his souls lmao))

“Because you made them that way!” Emile replied, getting frustrated now. He was very much still disgusted by Astral as a person, that hadn’t changed while he’d been here.

(Every. Single. One.)

"Leather was something before it was leather- would you call it a cow?" Astral sat the trinket in his hand down, sighing.

“Yes but that’s not what we’re talking about, Astral.” Emile pointed out. “These are people with complex feelings. And all I’m asking is for you to do one small thing for one of them.”

"It's a decoration." Astral rolled his eyes. "Doing one small thing for one will turn into small things for all of them, then big things, then just having hundreds of humans running around!"

“No it won’t. And I never said you had to let them roam around or whatever.” He said, rolling his own eyes in response.

"Mhm, sure." Astral didn't seem to believe Emile, but he held out his hand for the trinket to supposedly fix her up.
Well, that's what one would think.

But at this point, Emile didn’t trust the god to actually fix her. He knew he was making a bigger deal of this than he should.

"Well?" Astral moved his hand forward a bit. The girl was screaming by now, but of course, no one could hear her.

He shook his head. “You’re not actually going to do it, are you?”

"Not do what?" Astral asked innocently. "You want me to fix her, don't you?"

“I don’t believe you’re going to fix her.” He said bluntly.

"Why not? I'm trying to be better, remember? I might as well try with this." Astral let out a breath.

“Well at the moment you can see why it’s hard to believe that” he replied.

Astral let out another sigh.
"I can't prove you wrong if I'm not given the chance."
"Plus, I'll snap his neck if he tries anything funny," Derlik piped up.

Emile shrugged. “Fair enough.” He replied, gently handing the trinket off to Astral.

Astral took the trinket, looking down. He was so, so tempted, it was clear. He put his hand over her, and… in a moment, he pulled it away, setting the now whole trinket on the table in front of Emile.
"Better?"

Emile nodded. “Good job.” He picked her up to make sure she was really okay.

The trinket did look to be perfectly fine, if still fragile and prone to falling. How many times had something like this happened over the years and she'd just been left? How long would have Astral let her stay shattered like that?
Needless to say, she had a large amount of big t Trauma.

(Okay, so, unless Emile just kinda hyper focuses on this trinket and convinces Astral to somehow turn her into Not Frozen, then we probably won't hear her backstory)
(So, that being said, want me to tell it to you? ;w;)

Seeming satisfied, he gently placed the trinket back on the table, glad that she was safe for the moment.

Astral crossed his legs, letting out a hum.
"Satisfied?" He'd deal with the girl later.

(Okay, Backstory Time!)
(Her name is Lily, and she was about 6 years old when she was turned into a trinket. You know how Astral kinda, uh, kidnaps children on occasion to be his? And what he does with the girls when they're older? Well, she was taken at a later age, and she was constantly crying and asking for Mama, and… Astral didn't like it. At all. Eventually, he got fed up and started, you know… hurting her like he would an adult. It wasn't good, at all.)

Emile nodded quietly, getting settled back on the floor again. He planned on keeping an eye on the trinket so Astral couldn’t do anything to her because of all of this.

Emile would have to keep a damn good eye on her- Astral could easily make another trinket look like her to try to fool him, and still get his hands on the whiny thing. Derlik looked between the two, eyebrow raised. This was going to be interesting.
