(no Trauma here folks! qwq)
"I see… Here, let me see them." Derlik held his hands out for the rest of the trinket's pieces, being careful with the one he had.
"Let's see if I can put them back together."
((Nope no little t trauma and ESPECIALLY not any big T Trauma :’) ))
He nodded, handing the pieces over to Derlik carefully, making sure he didn’t drop any.
( :`) )
Derlik couldn't just put his hand over the trinket and pull them back together like Astral, since the trinket wasn't his soul, but he could carefully put their pieces back together and seal the cracks up. He hummed softly, whether out of boredom or to actually calm the soul it was hard to tell.
Emile didn’t care either way, as long as Derlik could piece the trinket back together. He felt bad for them, being shattered must feel awful.
It did. Their body had been shattered… Derlik continued, going slow. It was like putting a puzzle back together for him. Soon enough, he was putting the last part of the trinket back on, handing them to Emile.
"I'd suggest leaving them somewhere they can't get knocked around until Astral can fix them properly," Derlik said, "If you don't want them to shatter again."
Emile nodded. “I’ll do that.” But for now he kept the trinket in his hands, waiting to see if they’d calm down a bit more.
The trinket wasn't in as much pain, but there was still some there, and they weren't doing too good. They were scared, and hurting, and they still wanted to cry so much. Derlik looked down at them a moment, then sighed and moved to the couch.
“Shhh it’s okay little one…” Emile said quietly, so only the trinket would be able to hear. “Take as much time as you need dear.”
Emily had no idea how accurate the term 'little one' really was… the trinket was having a hard time calming down. They couldn't breath, literally, and everything they'd ever done to calm had been taken away. It was almost as if it was on purpose.
Derlik frowned some as he watched, shaking his head slowly.
Emile would continue to hold them close regardless, whispering reassuring words in the hopes that something would work.
It took some time, but Emile's words seemed to be helping. Unlike Mia, this trinket wasn't able to say anything to Emile, but they really were grateful for the help. They hadn't been treated like this in such, such a long time…
Emile smiled as he felt them relax. “There we go, all better now. I’m gonna put you back now, is that okay?” He asked them, just going to rely on how it made the trinket feel as their response.
There was a spike of fear in the trinket, but they did their best to calm down more. This person wasn't going to let them get hurt. They were ready.
Emile waited a moment but feeling them calm down he nodded again, still smiling softly at the trinket. “Okay then dear, I’m gonna put you back in kind of the same spot but further in on the table so you won’t get knocked down again.”
"You're being very careful with a total stranger," Derlik noted. The trinket tensed as Derlik spoke, but they were still willing to be put down. Astral was slowly getting back to his feet to slink off and heal himself up.
Emile shrugged as he gently placed the trinket back down, putting them much closer to the center of the table so they wouldn’t fall down again. “Just because I sold my soul to a demon doesn’t mean I lost my humanity.”
They would still have to be careful not to bump into the table- the trinket wasn't very stable at all, with how Astral had designed them.
"Hmph. Most loose it when they're stuck with Astral." Or himself, but Derlik didn't say that out loud.
“Yeah…..” Emile agreed, letting out a soft sigh. Emile would see what he could do about getting the trinket fixed up the rest of the way.
"How long have you been here so far?" Derlik asked. Astral might fix the trinket, but he might not just to spite Emile for what happened with Derlik.
“Not long. Only a day.” It already felt like so much longer. Honestly if Astral refused to fix it, Emile wouldn’t make a big fuss over it.
"Any idea when he'll let you go?" Derlik relaxed in his seat, legs folded. If Emile asked, he'd be fine with… convincing Astral to do it. Fixing the cracked ones, too, they were probably in a bit of pain.
“He said whenever I stop being helpful to Simon. But who knows when that’ll be.” At the moment, Emile was fine with staying there.
"Damn," Derlik said, shaking his head. "Let me know if he ever gets overbearing." The god shifted in his seat as Astral came back out. He had mostly fixed himself up, but he was going to have a black eye for sure.
Emile merely nodded, turning to look at Astral as he walked back in. Derlik really had given the god hell.
Astral sat down on the other side of the coffee table, folding up a little bit in his seat. He let out a small sigh, glancing over.
“One of your trinkets shattered. Derlik helped fix them as best he could.” He pointed out, figuring he might as well get that out of the way now.
Astral grunted some in turn, looking down at the table.
"Which one?" He asked, not even bothering to try to find out himself.
“This one.” Emile said, picking it up gently. He didn’t think Astral would do anything to make things worse while Derlik was still there.
The trinket was back to being tense and afraid in Emile's hand as Astral's attention was turned to them. The god let out a small snort, looking away.
"Good," Astral mumbled.
