Larkin took off as well, managing to get all the way back home to cheer Samul on. They continued playing for a while, but eventually everyone was tired and hungry and they headed in for lunch.
Larkin took off as well, managing to get all the way back home to cheer Samul on. They continued playing for a while, but eventually everyone was tired and hungry and they headed in for lunch.
Samul chuckled tiredly as they headed inside to see his Mother had prepared lemonade and a cracker tray for a snack until the action food was ready. He hummed, offering some sausage to Larkin.
Larkin happily accepted the sausage, his tail wagging a bit. He was obviously hungry, but that wasn't out of the ordinary. He was almost always hungry.
Samul hugged Larkin as they moved into the kitchen, grabbing some lemonade for himself and offering a sip to Larkin.
Larkin sipped at the lemonade, seeming pretty content for the moment. "Mmm… thanks, love."
"Welcome, dear," Samul said, smiling. He picked up some more sausage, pairing it with cheese and a cracker this time before offering it to Larkin.
Larkin happily ate anything he was given, keeping close to Samul and to the food. It all smelled nice, and he wanted to eat a lot of it.
Samul smiled some, arms wrapped around Larkin's waist. He continued to offer bits of food, kissing Larkin's cheek.
Larkin returned the kiss, careful not to bite Samul's fingers every time he took food from him. "Mmm~…"
Samul chuckled some as his family worked on the food for lunch, offering Larkin a glass of lemonade.
"Thanks!" Larkin accepted the lemonade and started sipping at it, watching closely as food was made in the kitchen.
Samul hummed in turn, smiling. His mothers were making some kind of meat dish, though it wasn't clear what.
Larkin's tail started wagging a bit when he smelled meat, and he moved a bit closer to Samul. "What're they making?"
"Ham and cheese melts," Samul said, smiling some as he looked over. He held up another bit of meat, chuckling.
"Does it sound good?"
"Mhmm!" Larkin grinned and ate the meat out of Samul's hand. "Sounds great, love!"
"Good!" Samul smiled, hugging Larkin and offering him more food.
Larkin happily accepted the bits of food, but he was more excited when the actual meal was finished.
Samul's Mama carried the plates out for them, Samul happily accepting his and letting Larkin hold his own.
Larkin accepted the plate with an enthusiastic thanks and sat down at the table to begin eating. He hummed happily as he ate, obviously pleased.
Samul started to eat as well, grinning. He finished about half of his sandwich, drinking the last of his lemonade.
Larkin finished the entire sandwich pretty quick and kissed Samul's cheek, looking pretty happy.
Samul grinned, moving to kiss Larkin's cheek in turn and offer what he had left of his sandwich.
"Was it good?" Samul's Mama asked.
Larkin happily ate the rest of Samul's sandwich and nodded at the question. "Mhmm! Great as always, ma'am!"
"Good!" Samul smiled, moving to hug Larkin for a moment.
"Mm… So, what shall we do for the rest of the day?" He asked.
"I dunno." Larkin kissed Samul's cheek and huddled close. "I'm happy to do anything."
"Me too," Samul agreed, chuckling softly as he held his lover. His Mama thought, clearing the plates.
"Mmm… we could watch TV or something, I dunno. What is there to do around here?"
"Well, there is always television," Samul's Mama said, "or we could play games, or even go outside again. I'm sure the neighbors will let us use the pool if we ask nicely."
"Sure! If everyone else wants to do that, I guess." Larkin shrugged and huddled closer to Samul, humming happily.
"Sounds awesome," Samul agreed. He smiled, kissing Larkin's cheek.
"Perfect, I'll go talk to them now!"
