“Shit I forgot I had a lap partner.” He began the slow process of trying to stand up without bothering the sleeping leopard on his lap too much.

Mia chuckled faintly. The leopard just yawned, opening their eyes slightly before shifting to not be laying on Simon anymore.
((Simon just quietly going “yayyyy” and wrapping his arms around Astral so he can’t get away again))
Simon let out a soft sigh of relief, smiling over at Mia. “Okay! Let’s go!”
(Astral just kisses Simon gently and wraps around like 'Love you goofball' and just- hn. so cute)
"Okay," Mia said, smiling some in turn. She led the way out of the library, back towards the kitchen.

Simon followed behind her closely. He hummed softly as he looked around, trying to memorize the route.

The way wasn't very complicated, thankfully, with only one or two turns. Mia opened the kitchen door, stepping in with a soft sigh.
"Do you think you'll want anything?"

“Yeah I’ll probably eat a little bit.” He said. Or at least he’d try. He shouldn’t run into any issues though.

"Okay, then." Mia offered a smile, hugging Simon before turning to go start making something. They weren't to the point yet, though they probably should have been, where Mia was pushing Simon to eat more for the baby. They needed the nutrients to survive, after all…

Simon knew he needed to be eating more, based off of how little energy he had alone. It wasn’t obvious since they never did too much but still, he could feel it. He’d try to eat, today wasn’t one of his bad days so it should be easy.

Mia was quiet as she cooked something quick for them, glancing at Simon occasionally to make sure he was doing okay. She smiled at him.

Simon had sat himself down at the counter, his cheek resting on the cool surface as he watched Mia cook. At seeing her smile, he was quick to flash one of his own, a quick reassurance that he was okay.
(public so stalkers can enjoy the fluffiness to come?)
Mia did seem relieved by the smile, turning back to the pan. After a bit, she had two grilled cheese sandwiches done, carrying Simon's over for him.
"How does this look?"

Simon sat up, smiling at her again. “It looks perfect. Thanks for making it for me.” He wanted to help out more but he was having trouble being up on his feet for long periods of time.

"You're welcome!" Mia smiled as she sat next to Simon, picking up her sandwich to take a bite. She gently nudged Simon's shoulder with her own, still smiling.

Simon smiled over at her at the motion, nudging her shoulder as well. He picked up his own sandwich, taking a careful bite of it. He hummed happily. “This is really good.”

Mia's smile grew some when Simon nudged back, taking another bite.
"I'm glad, then! I did my best…"
“Well it definitely worked out.” He replied, taking another bite and continuing his soft humming.
"Good." Mia fell quiet, listening to Simon hum. She didn't recognize any tune she knew, of course, but it was nice. Simon was a good friend to her, she was glad he was still there with her.
Simon was sort of making it up as he went, just making whatever noise made him happy. So far he wasn’t running into any issues with the food.
Mia would have been devastated if Simon did. She listened still as Simon hummed, resting her head on his shoulder after a few more bites of food.
Simon had made it through about half of the sandwich now, stopping momentarily to just take a quick break. He let out a content sigh, leaning his head on top of Mia’s.
Mia didn't start her second slice of her sandwich either, letting out a happy hum. It seemed she's calmed down completely from the Astral encounters.
Simon was glad to see it. He knew Mia did get really bothered by Astral’s visits, and he wanted her to be able to relax as much as possible now that the god was gone.
Mia was relaxed, much more than usual. She looked up at Simon, offering a tiny, sweet smile. She was glad he was able to do so well, even with the Astral encounters of the day. He was able to have a good day anyway.
Simon smiled back at her before returning to his meal. He started off slow again, just to be careful.
Mia wasn't really hungery as much now, so she only took a bite or two before setting her sandwich slice down. She hummed some, stretching her arms over her head.
Simon would keep eating for a few more minutes, still taking small bites. By the time he set the sandwich back down, there really wasn’t too much of it left.
Mia looked over, leaving the few bites of her own sandwich.
"How you feeling?" she asked, standing to grab her plate, her other hand on Simon's just to check and make sure he was done.
