Jared opened his eyes when they stopped, getting out of the car and giving Victor a faint smile.
Jared opened his eyes when they stopped, getting out of the car and giving Victor a faint smile.
Victor smiled at him as well. "Dinner and a movie, how does that sound?" He asks cheerfully, trying somehow to help cheer Jared up.
He shrugged a little. "Sure." He followed Victor towards the house.
He nods and smiles a bit before opening the door for the other and letting him into the house first before following into the house and locking the door and checking out the window to make sure everything was still clear. He was still on his job, so of course he still had to be careful.
Jared took the food to the table, opening the bag and setting the food carefully onto the table.
He looks over Jared and hummed softly before moving into the living room. He looked up as it started to rain, the drops hitting heavily on the rooftop. A small smile of content crossing over his features as he sets up blankets as well as something to watch as they ate. Nothing violent of course, he remembered what Jared said.
Jared grabbed some plates as well, setting them down so that they had something to eat on.
Victor returns to Jared's side, humming softly. "Shall we get comfortable and eat then?" He asks cheerfully.
"Sure." He smiled faintly, grabbing his own food and plate, and headed towards the couch.
He smiled in reply as he carried the food to the couch and humming softly as he moved. He settles down on the couch, leaving space for Jared.
He sat down, settling in and letting out a soft breath.
He offered Jared the remote, a content sigh leaving his lips as he ate quietly.
Jared took the remote. "What movie are we going to watch?"
He hummed and shrugged slightly. "It's really up to you. I think I chose the movie last time… I don't really remember." He laughed softly as he chewed on one of his fries.
He nodded, looking around through the different streaming services Victor had.
Victor had various amounts of streaming services, he ate his food in content. He ate quietly before setting his plate down on the decorative table and shut his eyes.
He eventually picked a movie. Just a fun, easy comedy, and then set the remote down and ate his food.
Victor found himself feeling drowsy and he hummed as he slowly began to doze off. His chest rose and fell at even intervals, resting his head on his hand as he dozed.
He finished his food, setting his plate aside and watching the movie.
Victor dozed peacefully, as the storm outside picked up. There was a bright flash of lightning and then a sudden earth shattering rumble. He startled a little in his sleep but didn't wake up.
Jared flinched at the loud thunder crack, biting his lip.
At the next thunder crack, Victor woke up, glancing around the house before yawning and stretching slowly. "Jared?" He murmured softly. "You okay?"
He shook his head faintly, still curled into himself.
Victor move to his side and knelt in front of him. "Jared, look at me." He murmured gently.
He peeked over at him. "Sorry." He said quietly.
He shook his head and smiled gently. "No, no. It's okay. Just keep your eyes on me, okay?" He murmured gently.
He nodded faintly, keeping his gaze on Victor but unable to stop himself from flinching each time the thunder rolled.
Victor gently took Jared's hands to ground him, having him maintain eye contact for a bit as he asked the occasional question to help Jared keep focused on reality and not get stuck in the past.
Jared answered the questions as best he could, trying to keep his breathing steady.
Victor continued to ask him gentle questions or to gently squeeze his hands. Eventually joining him back on the couch and keeping him close, allowing Jared to curl up with him if he wanted to.
