("WHOLE HOUSE IS CLEAN" I love this so much XD)
Astral didn't react much to the conversation continued on, but he did have to hold back a laugh. What was normally something Astral would have exploded at, or anything that would have upset him, he had to keep himself from laughing at. He really was doing his best not to freak out on anyone.
((Thank youuu XD))
Emile was glad Astral didn’t flip out about any of it. He knew the god would probably have questions for him after he was done though. “So yeah I just wanted to let you know that I won’t be home for awhile. But I’m fine, and I’ll call you whenever I can, okay?”
Alec let out another heavy sigh. “Fine.”
Emile laughed. “You’re such a baby sometimes. I’ll be back before you know it.” Of course he didn’t know that to be true but he’d say it anyway.
Astral glanced up as Emile spoke about leaving. The god didn't say anything of it, though, to interrupt the phone call. Hopefully it would be soon, but Astral doubted Simon would be getting better that quickly.
“I’ll call again tomorrow, okay?” Emile said softly.
“Okay…I’ll be here.”
“Okay…until tomorrow.” Before he could change his mind, he blurred the symbol on his arm, ending the call. He sighed, watching quietly as all the spilled blood began to return to his arm, before the cut sealed itself shut.
"Hopefully you'll be able to go back soon," Astral said once he was sure the call was over.
"But this is going to take some time to help Simon."
“Yeah I hope so. I mostly just said that to make him feel better…” Emile said with a long sigh. He already missed Alec, even if his boyfriend was an absolute idiot.
"Hopefully he won't come storming into the palace. I don't think he likes me much at all." Astral genuinely wanted to try to be nicer, but it would be hard if someone was yelling at him.
“Oh yeah he definitely hates you.” Emile said nonchalantly. “But he listens to me most of the time. So as long as I keep checking in with him and telling him that we’re all still okay, he should stay away.”
"That's good, then. And I understand the hatred." Astral shrugged, not caring much. More than he would have before, but not near enough to get upset. He knew he deserved it.
((Alec finding nitpicky reasons not to like Astral when he meets him and just leaning over to Emile and whispering “I don’t like him he’s tall”
Emile, who’s like a whole foot shorter than Alec: “….shut up. Just shut up.”))
“Yeah…like I said earlier, it’s a good thing I ended up here instead of one of the others.” Emile shrugged. “So hopefully they’ll all stay away for the moment.”
(XD)
"Hopefully." Astral let out a sigh, shaking his head. He finally finished his water, standing to deal with his cup.
“They will.” Emile reassured. He sat down on the couch, thankful that the god hadn’t asked him any other questions about who he was talking to.
Astral still didn't ask any questions, finding him right back in his seat from before.
"Do you think Simon is up yet..?"
“Mmm…” he considered how much time had passed. “Most likely. Yes.”
"I should probably go talk with him, then." Astral didn't move to get up yet, hands in his lap.
He nodded, looking over when the god didn’t move. “It’s gonna be okay, Astral. And if he’s bothered, then you just leave.”
"Understood." Astral finally moved to stand, turning to look down the hall.
Emile watched, at this point sitting criss cross on the couch. “It’s gonna be okay.” He repeated.
Astral nodded, and with that he set off down the hall to go to Simon's room.
Simon was indeed awake, still laying in bed, staring up at the ceiling and trying to figure out how he’d fallen asleep last night. He’d been so determined to stay up too.
((Broooo I just had a very vivid image of when the kid’s like 5 or 6 and just sneaking into Astral and Simon’s room I mean maybe lol like 👁👄👁 and they just stand there until one of them wakes up))
(hopefully after 5/6 years they'll be better ;-;)
(Astral, waking up: Mm, good morning-)
(The Child: 👁👄👁 Father I crave affection-)
(Astral: JESUS CHRIST-)
Astral was silent as he walked to Simon's room, knocking on the door.
Simon sat up a bit when he heard the knock, looking at the door a bit questioningly. Astral usually didn’t knock. “Hello??” He called out uncertainly. It could just be the house shifting? Did palaces belonging to gods even shift?
((XD that’s fucking hilarious))
((and yes I hope so too))
"Hey, Simon," Astral said softly through the door.
"I… wanted to talk to you. About making things better."
Simon stayed silent for a moment, a little bit in shock before sitting up more. He moved closer to Mia so she could let him know if she wanted Astral to leave. “O-okay you can come in.”
Mia was silent, moving to sit up as well. She didn't trust Astral, not one bit, but what could she do?
Astral slowly opened the door, stepping in. He moved to the side, away from the door so the others could leave while still giving them plenty of room.
Simon had taken Mia’s hand quietly, giving it a reassuring squeeze. He recognized how much space Astral was giving them, and he appreciated it. “So..you wanted to talk?”
Astral nodded some.
"I… The first thing I wanted to say is I'm sorry. For what I did, to you and Mia." Mia looked away, hand going to her jaw at the memory.
Simon blinked slowly, more than a bit surprised that Astral was actually apologizing. “O-okay. Thanks..” he said softly, still a bit on edge. Was there a catch or something?
