Mia was very careful where she went, finally opening a door. It was to a room that could only be described as old. Everything looked like it was ripped from the last century- there was even an entire bookshelf full of VHS tapes.
"This should work," Mia said, "So long as your okay with watching an older movie."
(Don't worry I do too aha)
“Yeah I’m fine with that!” He replied, thankful that it was somewhere that was still out of the way.
((mood))
"So, what movie would you like to watch? I think there's most every one here…" Mia hummed some, moving over to the shelfs.
“Ummm I don’t know, it’s hard to choose a favorite, they’re all so good.” He replied, going to look with her.
"Mm…" There really was most every Disney movie released on vhs there before them.
"Well… Something well known, or more obscure?"
“Ummm let’s go with something more well known if that’s okay with you.” He said.
"Yeup, totally! Um, how about… Mulan?" Mia finally offered, looking over.
“Ooh yes!! I love that movie!” He exclaimed, smiling at her.
"Awesome!" Mia grabbed the movie, opening the case and turning to the television. She turned it and the player on, humming.
((Simon’s so gonna cry ooooof))
Simon went and sat down, leaving a spot next to him for Mia. “Sorry in advance if I talk too much.” He said. “I’ll do my best not to.”
(me tooooo though lol)
"Oh, it's fine!" Mia said. She popped the tape in, grabbing the two remotes and moving over to Simon's side.
"It's part of the fun, after all."
He nodded. “Okay! As long as you don’t mind!” He hummed softly in excitement, leaning his head on Mia’s shoulder.
"Not at all!" Mia moved to wrap her arm around Simon, hitting play. She smiled as the commercials started beforehand, a smile falling on her lips.
Simon smiled at it as well. It definitely brought back some good childhood memories. Disney movies always did that for him.
(friendship goals minus the shitton of trauma)
Mia hummed, pulling her legs up onto the couch. This was definitely nostalgic for her too, if for different reasons.
((Yesss but that’s what makes them fuuuuuun))
Simon knew he was definitely gonna cry, but he was just trying to convince himself otherwise until then.
When the movie finally did start, Mia smiled a bit brighter, settling down into her seat with Simon.
Simon smiled widely, fidgeting a bit in his seat from excitement.
Mia fell quiet as the opening scenes began, watching at the Huns threw their home and scanned the walls.
Simon stopped moving around as much, just paying attention to what was on the screen.
(me, having just finished the first Mulan and watching the second one: god this man is so bisexual)
Mia smiled.
'Now all of China knows you're here…' the woman settled down next to Simon, caught up in the movie.
(( XD for real ))
Simon kept his head resting on her shoulder. He was glad that for right now, they had nothing to worry about.
Mia was glad too. That they could still relax, still keep close as friends without fear of Astral fucking everything up again.
Simon was afraid that Astral wouldn’t change, after so many years of acting the way he did….but that was a problem for a different day.
Indeed, it was. One Mia intended on doing everything she could tell make sure things went well.
So, she glanced at Simon as the first song of the movie started, Mulan being prettied up for the match maker.
Simon managed to push his worries aside, focusing on the movie. He hummed along with the music, smiling softly.
Glad to see Simon enjoying the movie, Mia let her smile grow, her hand going to Simon's and giving it a light squeeze.
Simon looked over at her, his smile widening a bit.
Mia looked back, giggling some.
"The match maker is quite the woman," she noted, looking back to the screen. "Quite… Well spoken." She giggled again.
“Oh yeah definitely.” He agreed, giggling softly. “Very very easygoing.”
