god that sucks
i mean, yeah, tumblr has had its fair share of nsfw artists but like
they don't have the right to categorize it as "porn" given that tumblr is trying to work on not having so many nsfw artists on their site to begin with
And in my experience I don't even come across NSFW stuff. It seems like you have to have the intention to find it and actually search it. Others have different experiences, but for me it's pretty chill
i haven't used tumblr for years now, but when i did use it, i didn't ever come across any NSFW unless i really looked for it.
also just found out my school has 4chan unblocked
I've been meaning to delete my Tumblr or at least change usernames. Just haven't gotten around to it
Also, I've never even been on 4chan and have no idea what it is-
I know I'm lame
i've never been on 4chan or tumblr in my entire 16 years of living.
i used to have twitter but i got rid of my account there when cancel culture started coming out of the woodworks.
i also used to have a youtube channel, but i stopped that when drama kept happening on my account.
now i just spend my time here in my group dm with my friends. i wouldn't have it any other way though-
I'm willing to stay active on youtube and twitter (By active I mean once a month)
It's been my dream to become a decently popular Youtuber. A few thousand subs maybe. Nothing crazy
i have tumblr, but i don't use it that much so… bleh. i have twitter too, but… i haven't used that all too much either.
i'm primarily active here (mostly in the group dm that was mentioned previously), as well as commaful.
Yeah, this is the only thing not blocked at school. I'd use my phone but it's almost always dead XD
I'm pretty active on Instagram. But mostly Discord. I used to have a Wattpad account until a bunch of thirsty lewd fanfictions popped up and I decided to bail so I wouldn't get stereotyped with them. (Which happens a lot still)
The reason I left Wattpad myself is similar to why I don't use DA.
Wattpad: I actually reached out to one of the site moderators to ask if there was a way to get more traffic to my work (views, comments, etc.) beyond using the tags and commenting on things…. Their response was pretty much to just keep doing that, which to me is equivalent to saying screw you.
DA: I stopped using DA because of some group that I was apart of refusing to have a pic of something that I worked on featured in the group. Ok, that's fine and all; their group, their choice and so on. However their reasoning was that the pictures quality (the picture itself and not the drawing) wasn't "good enough"…. I scanned the drawing. Really should've pointed out that not everyone has high-quality equipment for taking pictures of their drawings (and or scannings of them). Much less afford said equipment.
I had pretty good experiences with Wattpad mods. I actually really wanted to be a featured writer and have a panel at Wattcon or at least a meet and greet. But oh well…
(Side note: I actually started a google doc that I use as a journal. I basically just write my shifting experiences but.. as a book? Yeah. I have it shared with a friend because she was really interested to hear about it)
Still, saying that to a site-user is an excellent way to lose said user.
I'm actually pretty interested in trying it myself. I know that I have many dream-worlds that I've wanted to go back to!
It's quite a tedious process. And rather creepy too during the actual methods (Some experience things similar to sleep paralysis but more… real)
I'd be happy to help anyone who is willing to try it out!
i've been thinking of starting a journal about my synesthesia. i wrote a poem about it too (it's in the "poems, post em here friends" chat if ya'll are curious). i might start it today, actually.
There was this one dream where my name was Puck. He was the groundskeeper of a magical school (funny and ironic because Winter has compared me to Hagrid 🤣). Some witch was trying to claim the school. Staff found out about a particular secret of hers that we used as blackmail to keep her from taking over.
Oh? Sounds interesting! I agree expanding on that universe via shifting would be a thrill
@salem I always thought synesthesia could be quite beautiful. Forgive me if I'm wrong or offend you.

no offense taken at all! i think it can be beautiful too, especially in written form. my synesthesia is very strong, so my senses easily cross anything that comes into my thoughts. it can make for good art at times, because i let my sense take control once i start a drawing, and everything is up to my head at that point. i use it for story writing too. i like to think of my synesthesia not as a condition, but rather as a creative device. it fuels a lot of what i do art-wise and writing-wise.
OOH I love how you think of it as a creative device! I agree! It can be beneficial especially in the arts
I'd love to hear more about it if you're ever up to it!
@salem Sounds like you're quite the gifted individual.
