Nik smiled back at them both, waving a little to Smoke. Smoke mewed in reply, squirming a little in Twili's hands.
Nik smiled back at them both, waving a little to Smoke. Smoke mewed in reply, squirming a little in Twili's hands.
Twili sat Smoke in her lap, gently scratching his head. Derlik slide into the booth next to her, motioning for Nik to sit with them.
Nik sat down, letting out a faint breath and running his hands through his hair.
"Want anything to drink?" Derlik asked, looking from Twili to Nik.
"A cooler would be nice," Twili wrote out, smiling.
"Mm…I don't know." He replied, thinking for a moment. "What do they have here?"
"They specialize in cocktails," Derlik said, "but they do have a few good other drinks."
"Surprise me?" Nik said, shrugging faintly.
"Alright then!" Derlik hummed, looking around with a smile.
Nik smiled a little, looking around the bar.
It was a small local place, relatively empty with a well-maintained building. Derlik hummed as he ordered, keeping quiet. It felt strange to him, to speak too loud in this place. It was calm and serene. He wasn't going to bother making any chaos here, it seemed.
Twili smiled some, still gently petting Smoke. Things weren't all too bad, then. She leaned her head on Derlik's arm, the god responding by wrapping it around her in a gentle hug.
Nik watched Derlik and Twili for a moment, then looked away again, letting out a faint sigh and closing his eyes.
Derlik gently kissed Twili's head as their orders were being filled, humming some.
"So, what shall we do after this?" He asked, looking at Nik.
Nik shrugged a little, leaning his elbows on the table. "I don't know."
"I see," Derlik said, nodding some. "We'll just have to figure it out, then!"
Nik smiled faintly. "Yeah."
Derlik settled into his seat, lightly tapping his fingers on the table as they waited for their drinks.
Nik was quiet, leaning his chin on his hand.
Derlik looked up as the drinks came, smiling. He'd gotten Nik a lemon drop cocktail, accepting his own plain vodka.
Nik took his cocktail curiously, peering at it and wondering for a moment if it would be any good.
"So, what do you think?" Derlik asked, looking up at Nik.
He took a small sip. "It's, it's good." He said softly.
"I'm glad. I tried to order something you'd like." Derlik offered a small smile.
He smiled faintly in return. "Thanks."
"You're welcome!" Derlik was glad to see Nik more comfortable around him, taking a drink of his vodka.
Nik took another sip of his drink, watching Derlik for a moment.
Derlik didn't do much, but there was one major thing to note.
Gods are horrible at holding their alcohol. His cheeks were already flushing from just that small sip he head, chuckling some.
Nik realized after a moment that he was better at holding his alcohol than Derlik was, which was interesting. He took another sip of his own drink.
Seeing as Derlik was made entirely of cosmic goo wrapped in skin, it was understandable to see the alcohol go right into his system. The god hummed a tune under his breath, head tilting back some.
(aksndbdhbd I never thought I'd read the phrase "cosmic goo wrapped in skin" but here we are–)
Nik kept sipping at his drink quietly, keeping an eye on Derlik.
(What can I say I'm an artist XD)
Derlik tapped his fingers against the table, giggling some as he turned his head to look at Nik.
"You're really pretty~"
